Sep 18, 2012We have a design of two 6509 running in a VSS with dual supervisor each having fthree 10/100/1000mb etherner modules. We have diagnosed a wierd problem that none of the switchports in module 1 and 2 on either switches are having layer2/layer 3 connectivity.
Tried everything from changing the cables to changing the end device but no luck with it.
Module results show pass and no errors in the logging.

Oct 25, 2010ASR 1004, has a image, which is on the harddrive, not bootflash and we have no boot commands in the configuration…We are running the ROMMON version ‘15_01rs’ The ASR boots into Rommon, as it cannot find a image (as expected), as the configuration has no boot commands.Trying to TFTP or getting an IOS back into bootflash is proving problematic.Follow all TFTP commands..

I need to run layer 2 services between the 2 without mpls support from the service provider. Unfortunately there is no specific detail on getting EoMPLSoGRE up and running. I have the GRE tunnel working and I have mpls forced to my loop backs and the x connect configured on the 2 router interfaces. However the mpls forwarding table on the 7206 shows the outgoing interface is 'none' and I cannot pass any traffic across.

Cisco Switching/Routing :: 3750 - Show Interface Vlan (ID) Doesn't Show In / Out Traffic Rate
Mar 13, 2013I have configured a vlan interface on a 3750 switch. there is aprox 4Mb active traffic flowing through the interface, but when I do a "show interface vlan (vlanid)" the output show zero bits in and zero bits out. Its a typical L3 config with one IP on the vllan interface acting as the gateway for the VLAN devices. Is this a normal behaviur ? and if so is there any way to get the traffic in/out stats. The end PC/devices are connected to this switch via an L2 TRUNK and I dont have access to the L2 switch on which the actual devices connect. so cant get the real time stats of those interfaces.

Jul 19, 2012I am in the process of staging a couple of two new Cisco ASR 1004's which are located at two locations with a WAN link in between. I need to set up connectivity between servers plugged directly into each ASR router across the WAN link. The ASR has 16 gig interfaces (gi0/0/0 - gi0/0/7 and gi0/1/0 - gi 0/1/7), and a management interface (gi0). I have connected the WAN link to gi0/0/0 and put an ip address on it. The servers will be plugged into the remaining gig interfaces. I tried to create an SVI (vlan interface) in an attempt to create an L3 interface to support routing to these servers but these routers don't allow SVI's to be created. how to put these server connected ports on a vlan and to create an L3 interface to provide routing to them?

My windows able to detect and connect to the Wireless connection but the internet browser cannot display any webpage. Sep 11, 2011we are experiencing performance issues on ASR 1004 with ZBF as our campus edge router.Symptoms:
- sending small packets from inside zone to outside zone, for example UDP packets without payload
- this way I can generate up to 150.000 pps traffic (testing with packeth software, but we have had a real example with some kind of worm/virus)
- CPU load is about 1% (yes one!) to 2% all time !! (weird)
- ASR response to pings rises very quickly up to 5 seconds which makes box unusable dropping everything what goes through ZBF (so internet connection is gone)
- if I do the ping directly from box, it seems to work fine (no rules from self to outside zone in ZBF)
- if I remove interfaces from inside and outside zone (so disabling ZBF) and do the test again, ASR response goes from normal (0.2ms) up to 2ms (still sending 150.000 pps) and everything seems to work fine)
According to Cisco Datasheets: routing, Qos, Zbf ... on ASR 1000 with RP1, ESP10 should be done in hardware with up to 17.000.000 pps performance.
