Possible to do so and also which IOS to put in both the switches as WS-C3750G-48TS is having lower RAM and flash.Whether can i put following IOS in these switches and connect them in a stack as i have read that IOS -- 15.0.1. SE are compatible with both the switches.

so i moved onto the stack, issued the same command, image loaded rebooted and stack hung..Consoled in and switch was unable to boot..looping on trying to load flash. [code]

Dec 16, 2012I have a Cisco WS-C2960S-48TD-L with 12.2(55)SE2.This is a standalone switch, not in stack, and with no order it reboots itself looking for a new master election. On logging i have nothing, but connected with console cable i see the following after 2 minutes of not showing anything:

After searching online i have no seeing nothing about disable the feature of the stack so i configure the priority for the "switch 1" to 15 and configure it the switches 2, 3 and 4 to no provision, although this switches don´t exist:

Mar 8, 2012I have a 3750X 24 port switch (with NM-1G network module) running IOS 15.0(1). Is there any benefit or reason to plug in the included Stack Wise cable and loop it back to itself in a single switch installation?
I don't see any recommendation in the documentation. The data sheet indicates a single switch is a non-blocking device so I'd think there's no bandwidth advantage like there is when connecting an actual multi-switch stack and needing to close the loop for the full 32 Gbps stack bandwidth.

Sep 23, 2012I have a live 28port Catalyst 2960S switch. By live I mean that there is an essential piece of equipment plugged into this switch that can suffer little to no downtime. Over the course of time the number of devices patched into this location has increased to exceed the 24 ports available and we have had to resort to adding unmanaged switches to fill the need. We have acquired an additional 2960 & stacking modules that I would like to stack together, keeping the existing switch as the master. It is my understanding that the stacking modules are hot-swappable and that this member switch can be added without bringing the master switch down, thus creating zero down time for the financial server that is connected.
The steps I believe that need to be followed are as such: write mem to existing switch and backup to our TFTP serverinstall the stack module in the existing (while powered up) and new (while powered down)place the 2 redundant FlexStack link cables on both switchesthen simply power the member switch on After boot the member switch will get it's OS and configuration from the master and I can begin moving CAT5 cables from the unmanaged switches to the stack.

I have running a other mixed stack with a C3750G-12S and an C3750E-48TD. Its running fine until I want to make an IOS update. The update was done with the CW LMS 3.1. After the automatic update and restart only the C3750E had an new IOS the C3750G doesn't have any IOS. Jan 1, 2012I have 8 switch stack consisting of six WS-C3550-48P and two WS-C3750G-16TD running software vesrion 12.2(25) SEB1. When I added new C3750v2-24PS (running image 12.2(50) SE5) in stack so I up-graded the image of existing 8 switches with latest veriosn 12.2(50) SE5. Once I have done with the upgrade then all ports of my stack switches went down after around five minuts. Is it image compatibility issue with existing switches or something else?

I have changed the universal IOS on the 3750X to IP base..but they still wont come up as a stack. On the 3750X I don't see any log entry, on 3750G (major version mismatch).

Upon reading release notes found that there are two versions of release notes 1 day apart, the one 02 Sep 2012 saying that WS-C3750-48PS is not supported in this version. Then in release next day 03 Sep 2012 that note has been removed. Which one is correct. Is it supported with my model of switch or not.also unable to update boot path in the stack switches, "switch all" is not supported in the current IOS. Master switch has new boot path but unable to change in slaves.

Oct 28, 2011having problems with a slow network at work.. ive just become resonsible for the network and inherited a lot of ancient kit.upstairs we have a switch connected to our router.. downstairs we have 2 ancient hubs, daisychained and with 30 devices connected via cat5 and cat5e cable.the question is, if i get the cabling cut, recrimped and all of the cabling connected to the single switch instead of the 2 hubs is there any reason for it not to work, or for performance to be worse?

There is a plan to introduce a fourth stack member ( 3750X-48P ) into this stack.as per cisco documentation, it suggests to use 3750X as master for a mixed stack. In this case, we will need to upgrade current other 3 stack switches to a latest version.,Can we do a no-downtime ios upgrade on the existing 3-switch stack?, when this upgrade is done, is there any way to have the new ios pushed down to all three stack members at the same time or do we need to each member upgrade seperately?, for adding the fourth member, is it acceptable if master is ruuning ver eg. 12.2(55) and all rest of the members run ver 12.2(53) ? will this create any issues and will stacking be successful.
