Cisco Wireless :: 5598 - New Installation / LED Stuck In Amber Mode

I am currently supporting an engineer onsite remotely and have come across a strange problem . I have installed a few controllers but none of them have behaved in this manner. The model is a WLC 5508-50k9 model wireless controller and software 7.0.98.0, I have seen as per installation guideline that amber means th following
Distribution ports 1-8 Off: Not present.
#Green: Indicates SFP port is active and link is established.
#Amber: Present with failure
This mean that so coherent fault lies as follows on Layer 1&2 . The switch port light does not go green either. We have used both xover and straight but no luck

Windows 2003 server R2 with all patches installed. When I try to install LMS 4.0 I the installation stucks with "Default logrot Changes". Nothing else will happen.

I'm having problem with DFM under LMS 3.2. For some reason it periodically loses discovered devices and put all of them into "Learining" state. Sometimes restarting daemon manager useful but now it doesn't. I tried rediscovery few times but it doesn't work at all.

I've ended up in rommon mode on my new"old" RMA'ed ASA5505, and I'm stuck there, I'v tried to erase Disk0 and all that, and tftp'ed a new image into the box, but when booting I get the message :

I have 6509 E. Actually what happen it last 3-4 times it reload its self and got stuck in rommon mode, i tried to boot it with boot by connecting a console cable on supervisor 720 2b. What and where is problem and why is stuck in rommon after reload.

My Cisco seems to be stuck when it boots up, with the following:
Upgrade ROMMON initalized
And it goes on with self comperessing image then an OK but then it starts loading again all over.

I am using 802.1x authentication with multi-domain ports; Phone and PC connected to phone. The phones are Nortel (Avaya) and the PCs are Dell/HP Laptops. All are configured for Certificate authentication and this works well. However we sometimes get some ports stuck in Guest mode. when a non certificated laptop connects to a phone port and fails authentication, the data port is placed in the Guest VLAN. However when the laptop disconnects the port isn't reset and remains in the guest state. When a subsequent good laptop connects and attempts to authenticate the switch ignores this and leaves the data port in the Guest VLAN. he switch is a 2960S with Version 12.2(58)SE2 IOS.
The port is configured as follows:

I placed the AAA, dot1x, eap and auth debug on for all events and then connected a good laptop, the only debug message I got were as follows:

I would have expected the auth function to have reacted to the EAP packets sent by the good client when it connected and performed eap authentication but it didn't, all it did was say the ports in Guest mode and left the laptop in this VLAN.

After powering up a WS-C3750-48PS switch, Normal POST LED flashing of lights does not happen, instead the switch is stuck in SYST Mode on the front panel. My attempt to hold down the mode button upon powering up for 15 sec fails to reboot the switch. I cannot console to the switch. Is this switch unrecoverable? Should I RMA with TAC?

I have a WLC 5508, its PS1 and PS2 are OFF state, SYS is blinking amber and ALM is continues amber, Its port s are not coming UP and I am not able to access the Controller, All ports are physically down and in console nothing is showing when I connect through the console cable.

after a recovery of a main power failure the RPS LED on my Cisco 2960 is blinking amber. The command sh env power on the Switch tells me: POWER is faulty. sh env rps says: RPS is supplying.
On the RPS2300 the DC output LED is blinking green. Due to the manual this means: The RPS 2300 is backing up the connected device.
So far so true. The RPS has backed up for the time the main power supply was down.
But actually both, the Powersupply from the RPS and the main power are available.
But the Switch didn't switch back to it's bultin powersupply, so still the RPS ist suppling the switch.
What can we do to get the Cisco 2960 into the correct state? Is there a special command which i can use?

I was trying to connect Ethernet cable to my laptop LAN port, there was solid Green on my Hub and there was no light on my laptop LAN. I have swapped with a none good working computer and Ethernet cable everything works fine.I felt the problems is the physical LAN port on my laptop.

I have a new Cisco DPC 3010 modem and the link light keeps turning a amber color. When the light goes from green to amber my download speed drops from 12m to 8m and my upload goes from 2m to 312k. I cant find anything on what the light turning amber means. Also cant find out how to log into the modem.

We are having Cisco 7206VXR with NPEG2 and the IOS c7200p-spservicesk9-mz.124-15.T10.bin.,PA-MC-STM-1SMI is connected to 3rd Slot of the Chassis. The Links terminated on the SMI are working fine and we are not getting any Error Messages on Chassis regarding the this SMI.
But here we have Amber LED Glowing on ALARM LED of the SMI Card.

I have a PS3 connected to a Gig port on my 3560. When I boot-up the PS3 I have to wait around 30 seconds for it to get DHCP.
I noticed the orange LED would stay on and go green after 30 seconds. I assumed I would have an error-state but I do not, the port show connected with no errors even though it's orange. I have no connectivity from the ps3 until the light goes green and then all is well. The port is access and I have manually configured duplex and speed.

We have one Cisco ACE in our data center which is working fine but has Amber light on front & Rear.
I read the document & it shows that either it is a system fault or internal fan failure.
I am sure it is a fan failure because if there was any system fault then ACE dont work properly. should we replace the hardware?
unfortunatley we dont have support contract & i am working to get it one.

I have a DIR-615 H/W ver C1.Suddenly everything stopped working. The D-Link light is green and the power light is amber, no other light is up (LAN or Internet).I've try to do a reset, no effect.Can't connect to the router even with a LAN cable (LAN lights stays dead with a working cable and computer plug-in).

i got a Dir-655 router and Dell 1501 wireless -N mini PCI card (802.11 bgn compliant). Router was set to mix mode but my desktop Dell XP8300 can connect only till G mode.
1) I search on web and some said that i need to set my router to N mode only for my desktop to connect to N mode. IS THIS SOLUTION CORRECT??
2) Another issue was my sis got other old brand latop which can only connect to B mode, if i set to N mode only, she won't be able to connect it right?

We have one cisco core switch 6500 series which was configured portchannel on several gig interfaces. This port is used as a trunk to enable communication between VLANs. The VLANs is where several high-end servers/hosts reside.After we disable / unbind the portchannel, the port turns amber. The following is what we did on the interface
1-no switchport command
2- make the port as access mode #switchport mode access
3- shut and no shut
4- clear arp
5- clear mac
what else can we do on that particular interface. It is just on that particular interface, the rest are ok.

I am replacing an old Catalyst 3550 (that has 2 Gig ports) with a 3750 (that has 4)- I used the exact same configuration in the new switch. When I plugged in the new 3750, the trunk ports started blinking from green to amber. I dont know why this is occuring- it SEEMS to be fine, but we havent thrown a whole bunch of traffic over it.

I have a Cisco catalyst switch 3750G has all LED lights staying amber still without blinking, I cannot console into it and it can’t boot past the POST.

Command to check system status of ACE 4710 appliace? For example if fan is OK or CPU temperature, or other HW things what could be faulty?
For example now I have system ID button blinking amber bot do not know what is wrong. I just know that there is some faulty.I just used show tech-support command and it does not seems that it include some HW statistics.

I have (2) Sup 32 configured in a 6509 chassis. I have 1 power supply plugged into the wall and 1 power supply that is not plugged into anything but it is in the chassis and has green light to show that it has been recognized.
My problem is the "system light" on both sup32 remains amber and does not turn green. I have done show modules and sh diagnostics and sh power and everything checks out OK. Also there is an amber light on "active" on the 2nd Sup32 which I am assuming means that it is in standby mode so that would be correct.
Q: My question is could it be the power supply that is not plugged into anything causing the "system light" to stay amber and not turn green?
Q: Will this amber system light on the Sup32 stop the 6509 from running as normal?

I'm trying to "resurect" an old wireless network made with Cisco Aironet 1100. One of the AP has lost its IOS (due to an error while trying to upgrade it through the web interface)
I tried to reload it with the "mode button". I can see in my TFTP server logs that the AP is downloading the IOS but nothing happens and the AP keep being stuck (leds are : red/green/red)

A couple nights ago, in the middle of my surfing the net, i was cut off and 'checked the modem (working good) and the router, displaying blinking amber lights --modem and internet. I had to restart my router, usually, it would work after that and i could surf again. This time, when it started back up, the router light turned blue and then the modem and internet light started blinking amber. I haven't done anything except chat over the net when it happened. All other lights are blue. I have cycled the modem power, the router power, and restarted the computer and have the same results. I already followed the troubleshooting from Belkin support 192.168... completely restore it to it's factory settings and yet, i still end up not being able to connect in the internet and with that blinking amber lights. I already tried connecting directly from my modem to my win 7 laptop --no problem at all. I could surf and chat. but when i tried connecting it again from modem to router so i can do wireless.

I have a Linksys X2000 modem. Sometimes I see the "Wi-Fi Protected Setup" button glowing orange (amber?) for no apparent reason. The manual says that it "blinks rapidly in amber if an error occurs" but I don't think any device is trying to connect wirelessly at the time. How can I determine if there is a problem?

We just moved into a new place a couple days ago and the cable guy (from Cox) came and hooked everything up. The cable works but I plugged in my n300 belkin wireless router and it'll have a blue ligh for a couple second then flash and then turn to flashing amber/orange. It won't connect to the Internet. I tried resetting it, unplugging from both ends and nothing will work.
