I have an ASA 5505 with status light solid amber color. It is under SmartNet.I'd like to know Cisco will replaced this device with new ASA5505 or upgrade one?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have recently wiped my hdd and installed WinXp, I use to have vista but a crash occurred. I have WinXP SP3 with a Belkin Connect N150 connected to a Arris Telephony modem from Comcast. My setup use to work on vista. I've ran belkin setup from the disc multiple times and it gets to the part where it says connect and make sure cables are connected. All cables are connected, but my router has a solid amber light. I can access arris through wired internet, but I really want my wireless to work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have a root AP whose status light is showing solid red. We power cycled it and it still shows solid red. According to the Cisco documentation, this indicates a firmware failure. Unfortunately, we did not get Smartnet with this access points and instead opted for the limited lifetime warranty.
My question is: is there any way to fix the firmware via console? Whether it be through xmodem or what not. I ran debugs on the controller and can confirm that the AP is not communcating with the controller.
It is also weird that the mesh APs that were previously connected to this root AP show a solid red on their status lights and green for their RF LEDs. Shouldn't the status LED be flashing green-amber-red?
Does a ASA5505 have a limited lifetime warranty? I have a ASA that is not covered on a SmartNet contract, as far as I know of, it is not owned by my company. It has a yellow status light, and will not boot. Will cisco replace it?

tried to go to recovery mode (power on while holding reset switch).....does not work.my search on the internet revealed, that after bad flash, power light still comes on, maybe as orange, maybe blinking, or just blinks once
I was trying to connect Ethernet cable to my laptop LAN port, there was solid Green on my Hub and there was no light on my laptop LAN. I have swapped with a none good working computer and Ethernet cable everything works fine.I felt the problems is the physical LAN port on my laptop.

I unplugged the router to reset it and whenever it starts up it flashes green and the green light goes solid for less then a minute before turning red. It's a solid red light. I've tried unplugging everything and restarting it and nothing. Ironically it still lets me connect to the internet but when I access the control panel on my computer it shows as disconnected. Is this means my router is busted. This is my second Belkin Router and the only reason I had to replace the last one is because it was a G+Mimi router and I upgraded to an N Router.

I read the document & it shows that either it is a system fault or internal fan failure.
I am sure it is a fan failure because if there was any system fault then ACE dont work properly. should we replace the hardware?

I've not found any topic related to what happened to me. Bought two cameras and upgraded the firmware on both as asked, but one of them just stopped. The light is solid green and not red like other posts.Tried the recovery procedure, but the browser won't find my camera. Changed computer IP and everything else that was told to be done. Nothing works!! I also can't find any posts relaled to my problem all over the internet.

The manual says that it "blinks rapidly in amber if an error occurs" but I don't think any device is trying to connect wirelessly at the time. How can I determine if there is a problem?

The cable works but I plugged in my n300 belkin wireless router and it'll have a blue ligh for a couple second then flash and then turn to flashing amber/orange. It won't connect to the Internet. I tried resetting it, unplugging from both ends and nothing will work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have (2) Sup 32 configured in a 6509 chassis. I have 1 power supply plugged into the wall and 1 power supply that is not plugged into anything but it is in the chassis and has green light to show that it has been recognized.
My problem is the "system light" on both sup32 remains amber and does not turn green. I have done show modules and sh diagnostics and sh power and everything checks out OK. Also there is an amber light on "active" on the 2nd Sup32 which I am assuming means that it is in standby mode so that would be correct.
Q: My question is could it be the power supply that is not plugged into anything causing the "system light" to stay amber and not turn green?
Q: Will this amber system light on the Sup32 stop the 6509 from running as normal?

Recently in the morning the router will have lost ability to connect to internet <internet light is on> and I cannot access the router page <sys light solid> from either wired or wireless connections. Why is this and will it be solved if I upgrade firmware?
We purchased an ASA 5505 (ASA5505-BUN-K9) and more recently purchased the license to upgrade it from 10 to 50 users (L-ASA5505-10-50). I would like to provide remote access to users via AnyConnect - specifically, AnyConnnect on Windows plus the iPhone/iPad and Android versions. My understanding is that I should purchase the Anyconnect Essentials (L-ASA-AC-E-5505) and Anyconnect Mobile (L-ASA-AC-M-5505) licenses. Is this correct? If I do this, how many simultaneous remote access VPN connections (via Anyconnect clients) will the ASA then support?
Further, we did not initially purchase Smartnet with this device, but I would like to do so to gain access to software updates. Is there a site or document where I can locate the SKU #'s for Smartnet contracts that would be appropriate with our device?

Today I finally upgraded my ISP to cable (from a slower DLS connection) to get reasonable speed/price All is working very well but unlike my old DSL modem the internet status light on the DIR-655 blinks very rapidly all the time instead of when traffic is passed.The new modem is a Motorola SB6141,I am running the latest firmware 1.35NA I went through a complete re-setup to see if that would calm the light but no dice there. (the settings arrived at were basically the same for the old Sprint modem) ,Is there something I am missing or is it time to retire the old DIR-655 for something more current.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to connect a PC to my wireless network but am having issues. Using both a trendnet wireless N PCI network card and a Linksys G510 wireless G PCI network card I have the same issue whereby the connection, an unprotected mixed (B,G,N but have tried only N on the trendnet) wifi, appears in the Windows 7 connection list but upon clicking "connect" I am told Windows was unable to connect to the network, and then the network dissapears. Later on, it will randomly appear and will stay as such until I try to connect.
I've tried using an Asus wireless N 150 USB adapter with the PC, the problem is different. I can connect to the network and the connection will appear fine in the taskbar, but trying to open a webpage either does not happen or is excruciatingly slow.
