I have this issue after Cisco send us RMA. Whenever i restart the AP, it wont able to auto boot. I have to type command manually to boot the AP. Is there any command or way to make this AP to auto boot?

IOS = 32M
RAM = 64M
ROM VERSION = 12.2
However, when I power up my router, it goes into a boot loop, and I see the following messages:
NOT ENOUGH MEMORY IN THE SYSTEM TO RUN THIS IMAGE
***SYSTEM RECEIVED A SOFTWARE FORCED CRASH***
how to overcome this error, and successfully upgrade, so I could load my new image?
After performing a firmware upgrade on an SG300-20 switch from ver 1.1.0.73 to 1.2.5.70 the switch now boots up with the following error and resets:

View 0 Replies View RelatedThis summer the IT department at my location rolled out a little more than 100 AIR-CAP3502I-A-K9's to much success. We have had an issue with only one AP. This paticular AP must have gotten unplugged during the updating process after the initial conneciton to the controller was made as the LED currently blinks red-blue-red, indicating an error in the flash memory according to the manual.

Seem to have a problem, most of the 14 * 3502i have regersted on the network and working, 6 arent connecting and log below. I've replaced one of the AP with a differnt one, same model and batch and this works.

I was under the impression that the AIR-CAP3502I-E-K9 is a ceiling mount AP only. Is any one using these as wall monuted AP's?

During the power on and all the test the led is flashing in various colors pretty ipnotizing :-) When it bacame operative, the led stops. If i issue the test led flashing console command it works.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 1 cisco AP (CAP3502I) which is not able to associate with WLC (version 7.0.235.0), using CAPWAP. Simply from debug I can see that AP is trying to contact WLC on port udp/5246 but can't see any response from WLC.

AP is getting config about WLC from DHCP option 43 and have own reservation to get same IP address (+default GW). AP is NOT associated but as it has IP address from DHCP then it is pingable. But don't know why, but I'm not able to tracert/traceroute to this AP, as I can see it is getting packets but it is not responding.
But on different locations, where are same APs model (associated with WLC) I have no problem with traceroute it, as APs are responding.
My question: It is not related that AP is not able to associate with WLC (still working on it) BUT should I be able to traceroute/tracert to unassociated AP (to his IP) and get response???
NOTE:

I check many other APs with same model and non of them has problem to respond for traceroute, but this particular unassociated one has :-

I have 45 clients currently associated with each AP.
Can i run both 2.4 and 5ghz at the same time? so my N user's can connect at 300Mpbs on the 5ghz bonded, and my G users can connect to 54Mbps?Also i ask because of coverage, my 5ghz does not cover as far as the 2.4 so those at the extremity's could at least get G with a good signal?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if there is an easy way to change the regulatory domain on a lightweight access point. The reason I'm asking is someone accidentally placed an order for AIR-CAP3502I-N-K9 access points instead of the AIR-CAP3502I-A-K9 flavored ones. I can see how it happened, since undoubtedly someone asked for the "N" access points, thinking 802.11n, and the other person was thinking AIR-CAP3502I-"N"-K9.
do I have to RMA them, or is there a way to magically turn them into the ones flavored for the Americas?
ragarding AP AIR-CAP3502I cannot learn option 43 from MS server but it can learn the DHCP ip address. We have 2 sites that option 43 does not learned by new AP's but other site works ok. I tried also to delete and add the dhcp scope and same issue. My temporary solution will be creating the DHCP pool with option 43 and 60 in the access switch and it work ok, new AP's able to show in the WLC. I just need more information why site AP's cannot learn the option 43 of the MS server but other site AP's work ok. Is this IOS bug? AP's issue? MS issue?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have 10 new AIR-CAP3502I-A-K9 connected to a WS-C3750X-48PF-L switch. 8 of the APs power on and connect perfectly, but two are problematic. Both devices are granted power, but they never go past the stage of getting power from the switch. A look at POE shows: [code]
Where the AP that is not working is connected to Gi1/0/4. The interface shows down/down. I've tried shutting the interface, removing power, cdp etc.
Are there any other tricks you can think of to get it working or would you say that it's 2 faulty APs? I am not based at site unfortunately so I cannot console to the APs and check them out.
I recently had to deploy about 4 cisco 1131 AP's to one of our branch location. When configuring them on the controller, i needed to put them in HREAP mode. As soon as i do that and the AP needs to reboot, it will continue to reboot in a loop and indicate the following:

We have a few AIR-LAP1041N-E-K9 and 2106 controller. One of the 1041N began rebooting in a loop. All over AP work fine. This morning, AP normally loaded at once. Two hours later, after AP reboot, situation repeated itself. Output from console:

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy bckup WLC controler seems to stumble in the setting of authentication phase. A week ago I actualy successfully implemented and tested HA scenario with two 5500 controllers (one of them with the HA SKU code). Both of them were upgraded to 7.4.100 version, but today the bckup controller has gone insane! The HA sceanrio was broken down and the bckup controller loops in "Enter credentials" loop forever! It doesn't matter what I enter, how many signs, it just loops endlessly... I bolded the console output underneath... The catch is that it doesn't matter what I put in it yust ignores the input and asks me for credentals again!

I've bought my E4200v2 via eBay, because original Cisco store doesn't ship to my country (Israel).My first unit was... defective, I think I wrote about the issue on this forum a while ago.It had connection troubles, always in a dead loop, saying "Connecting..." one to 100 times it managed to connect, and suffered slow internet connection speed, where all speedtests gave me 60% of my actual internet speed.Which is 30mbit.I'm sure about my ISP, it uses next.gen technology, they have their own underwater optic cables. Without Cisco router, only dialer, I get 100% of my internet speed, or with another router as well.I decided to RMA my e4200v2.
Out of context question: Why there's no option to specify server name instead of server IP? our ISP uses domain name for connection, rather than IP address, as they have a lot and a load balancer above 'em.Now, to the original issue.Refund is no option, RMA again is no option, too much time and money.Maybe there is a solution? It just can't be the reality, that two out of two units are not working. I heard this router is very good. And I heard the v1 is working very well in Israel. so It can't be our country that is the problem.By the way, I've called my ISP and they've switched me to MPLS connection for a try, so in a router you just switch to "Automatic configuration - DHCP" and it pulls IP, DNS servers and connected to the internet, but was hooooribly slow.
So I'm back to dialer. the main still is the "Connecting..." loop, sometimes says "Connected" for a second, and then connecting again... It manages to pull DNS addresses though, but never the IP and never managed to stay connected.All the connection configs are very basic, you know it. Server IP, username, password, keep-alive, MTU (I've tried auto, and a ton of other combinations recommented by our ISP or Cisco).My latest idea was to film how I burn it or throw a rock at it and send to Cisco the video, but that's kinda too much, it's too early for such decisions, especially when already $300 were spent.

My WRT310n router, since yesterday, stopped working "normally".It was disconnected from the power plug in order to put it in another shelve and when I plugged it in, voilá, constant reboot.I keeps rebooting forever... I can't even make an ethernet connection. Reboot, after reboot. Tryied to make a reset with no luck, 5 seconds reset, 30s reset, pressing reset while plugging it in.Even with nothing connected to it (neither wireless nor lan), just the power plug and it keeps re booking one after another.

My AP 1131AG is not light weight mode and not able to boot. I have captured logs from consle port it stuck up after following error:

All my switches were connected together as ring topology. We use REP to block redundancy link.One of my colleagure was setting up a new link(VLAN) for one customer which was then caused a L2 loop. The CPU was hitting 100% and REP started to lost neighbors then we had a big outage.I am thinking to deploy QoS on all REP switch (on trunk links from switch to switch) to give priority to control traffic like REP and some importance data VLAN. Of course,Storm-Control already implemented on all access-port.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried to upgrade the cisco boorloader pf WLC 4402 from version 4 to 7.2. I updated ER.Aes FOR 7.2 (EARLY RELEASE.aes). It was updated perfectly and then I rebooted controller....now i can only see blank screen from connected console.I tried the flash of other lan controller but its not working because the issue is in the ROM as the boadloader file is in the ROM which is corrupted now i want the solution to upgrade the boatloader file inside the ROM.

How do I configure these 2 APs so they will automatically boot fully?

I've had a Belkin N+ wireless router for about 5 months. I reset the router recently (using the reset option on the router itself) and now it doesn't boot up. The lights at the front flash as if its going through its boot sequence but it never stops. I left it for 2 hours while I went out and when I came back it was still going through the boot sequence.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't do a lot of networking however during a cisco lesson the other day my lecturer briefly touched upon loop-back tests, would it be okay for somebody to very imply sum up exactly what loop-back tests do in a couple of lines and how they are carried out? (not in detail, so literally for example - a wire is put in from one end of the network to the other etc.) I don't really understand all the different wiring types etc.
