I need to connect 3 computers in local lan by using ipsec on win7. How can I do that? I tried to do something from windows firewall; but I see incorrect header checksum errors in wireshark.

View 10 Replies View Related4 pcs are connected to a adsl bb router having 4 lan ports. i have removed the adsl cable going to the bb router cos bb giving problems. i m then connecting to internet on any one pc using a tata photon usb device. i want to share this internet on other 3 pcs. those 3 pcs are getting their ips from the bb router in 192.168.1.x series. all pcs are pinging to gateway ie 192.168.1.1 but not pinging each other. why?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a E2500 connected to a cable modem as the base of my home network. Hard wire connected to the E2500 is an linksys 8 port hub and a couple of computers. The 8 port hub is connected to a couple of computers and a xbox. I have the hub as a distro point to cut down on wiring. Wirelessly connected to the E2500 are a variety of laptops, netbooks, ipods, an ipad, a playbook, an iphone, a android phone, a wireless printer and a Ps3. Most of the devices are just using the wifi for internet access. Most devices have been setup with their own ip addresses to avoid ip conflicts. The computers and laptops/netbooks are running either Windows XP, Windows 7 or Mepis Linux. Up until now everything was going as good as can be expected, all the computers could see each other and most could transfer files between each other except when Windows gets picky.In the last few days no computers can see each other. Windows or Linux.Everything can accsess the internet and wirelessly print still just can't see each other. I reset the E2500. I updated the firmware on the E2500. I installed the Cisco Connect software (just in case I was too stupid too setup a router). Still nothing. I can ping other machines from a command prompt in windows or a terminal in Linux and get a good ping back. In the router setup via a browser I can go to the status page and see other devices on the local network but most are just ipods, ipad, playbook and the wireless printer, If I go to the administration page / diagnostics I can ping other computers and get a good answer. I just can see them from each other. I think I've rebooted every thing at least once. Yes the workgroup names are all the same (workgroup) and yes file sharing is turned on on all computers.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am testing a EasyVPN IPsec server set up on a cisco 891. Here is how I have it set up right now- the 891 is connected to our backup internet connection (different ISP from our main line) and we have a cisco 1921 as our production router.
I am experiencing a problem where when I am on our internal network off the 1921 and I connect to the VPN on the 891 I lose all local network connectivity. Nothing works, can't ping, can't telnet to the 1921, can't browse the internet, its not just DNS either.
I believe the issue lies in the configuration of the IPSec server on the 891 because when I connect to our client's cisco IPSec VPN I experience full local connectivity with no issues whatsoever. It seems to me that ALL traffic is being routed through the tunnel.
Other than the local issues the VPN is working fine and I can remote desktop to the PC I have set up off the 891 and telnet to the 891 from there.

when I ping another workstation on my local network I should get back it's local IP but instead I am getting an ip address that resolves to somewhere in Germany! In fact if I ping any bogus name, I mean anything, it returns this same address 62.116.181.25. If I shut down my cable modem then everything resolves correctly. And yes I have DNS relay enabled because it seems to be the only way to get the workstations to resolve external sites correctly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an exisitng ASA5520 which is already working with remote clients using Cisco vpn client configured using ipsec over tcp, I am now trying to get vpn access for Iphones working and having a problem where once connected the Iphone cannot ping any internal device. The configuration on the Iphone does not allow for Ipsec over tcp and therefore uses udp 500 by default, if i create a new profile from a pc and do not use ipsec over tcp it has the same issue where it establishes a vpn tunnel but cannot ping any internal device as soon as I change the profile to ipsec over tcp it works fine.

I would like to know on how can i setup my cisco 877 router at my small office. Here are the things that i need to do:
1. I need enter the internet static ip address 61.10.xx.xx/subnet mask/gateway/dns provided by my ISP.
2. I need to configure the cisco router DHCP so that the 4 computers can obtain an IP automatically. Howow can i accomplish this setup.
We have a business need that we have to set up a IPsec L2L tunnel (from multiple locations) to a business partner, we require that the connection can only be initiated from our side, not business partner side. I searched the web, one option is configure our side ASA to initate IKE only, this does not seem to meet our requirement, because once IPsec SA is up, IP layer traffic will flow freely in either direction; the other option people suggested is to use VPN filter in tunnel group policy, but the documention of how to use this vpn-filter to enforce one way traffic policy is not crystal clear to me; I actually configured reflexive ACL on core L3 switch before the traffic hits ASA to reflect/evalulate specific traffic to businness partner's LAN network, that worked well. However one of our branch office's core L3 switch is Cat4K which does not support reflexive ACL with the image it is currently running, so I am stuck again .

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm attempting to configure a tunnel on a PIX-501 version 6.3. It's an old device that's due to be replaced soon, but unfortunately we need a tunnel now... I have been using this document as a reference (6211): URL ,The remote end is a sonicwall.
The problem seems to be that the pix never sees the interesting traffic for the tunnel, and never tries to initiate a connection. I have enabled crypto ipsec and crypto isakmp debugs, but no data is ever displayed, even when attempting to access a device on the remote side of the tunnel! Someone had tried to set up this device with some tunnels in the past, but was never successful, so I'm thinking there might be remaining commands in the running-config causing problems.

We have purchased a couple of Cisco 891 routers - both are running IOS 15.0(1) M5 licensed with advanced IP services (default). The literature for these devices on Cisco's website claims they support IPsec stateful failover on advanced IP services.
Our intention is to configure them with HSRP and IPsec stateful failover to provide a highly-available default gateway and VPN end-point.
I have configured HSRP and that seems to work fine. My problem is that I cannot configure IPsec stateful failover. The documentation that I have found implies that I need to configure inter-device redundancy on a particular HSRP group and use the physical IP addresses on the interfaces within that group to allow stateful failover communication between the routers however the routers do not recognise the 'redundancy' command in config mode...

I have an RV220w in office, which I have configure it for ipsec vpn connections. Behind router there is a NAS for file storage. [code]I have managed to connect to router from my home with ShrewVPN and I can ping every client connected to RV220w.The problem is that I can't connect to neither to router's web interface nor to NAS web interface or any other intranet web page ( the browser doesn't give any error, but keeps loading without showing the web page). Although, I can access web pages from my laptop.Also, in windows file explorer when I connect to NAS, although I can browse folders I can't copy files from my laptop to NAS and vice versa, I always get timeout error (I have checked the permissions to NAS and in addition I succeed to copy a small txt file 1kb, but no luck with bigger files).I also tried with QuickVPN client, but I had the same results. When I connect with pptp from windows everything works like a charm.My laptop has windows 7 64bit.

View 12 Replies View RelatedThis is for an ASA 5505. I am trying to configure an AnyConnect and IPSec VPN connection and I think it's almost there but not quite yet. When I login from an outside network it gives me the following error for the SSL AnyConnect "The VPN client was unable to setup IP filtering" and "Secure VPN connection terminated by peer" for the IPSec. I previously had this working since Oct, but I was trying to modify it a little to accept LT2P for native Android VPN clients and that messed up everything that I had working perfectly. I checked everything as best as I could to try and match the previous settings but still can't get the darn thing to work. I am trying to also do Hairpinning, I want all VPN traffic to pass through this router... remote LAN and Internet traffic for times when I am at unfamiliar wifi hotspots and need to check email securely. I have included my running config. I also need to configure the ASA to accept native Android VPN connections. I read the most popular thread that worked for a few users but while doing those modifications that is where everything went downhill. T
