Taking another look at Dview cam today after not touching it for 3 months after initial install.The dcs-2132L can't connect.I can to the 2132L directly... I changed the port as a test.. Port 80 wasn't working originally.

When I am viewing live recorded video through d-viewcam I can hear the audio. I currently have 2 camera recording 24/7. When I go to playback to play a certain clip, there is no sound at all. When I save a clip and click export audio, still no sound.

I see that the software is no longer recommended and may no longer be available. Any explanation for the move to the DView Cam software ? If I were to convert over to DView Cam from IP Surveillance will I lose any functionality or features. Will there be any functionality or features gained ?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have connected a Seagate Free Agent 500GB to the USB port of my E4200 and while it does work fine, When the drive has been idle for a while, it goes into power saving mode, turning the spindle motor off. This means it takes a few seconds to access the disk. Not a problem, but apparently, those few seconds are enough for either Windows or the E4200 to decide that the disk is no longer accessible. The share is still available, but I get missing folders and files, files won't open or are not found, and backups job with Acronis True Image will fail because it thinks the share is unavailable.Sometimes, constantly refreshing the view and opening files at random will revive the share, but often, the only way to get it back is to restart the computer.
The problem is definitely related to the power saving. If I leave a video clip playing or similar, so there's always some disk access preventing the drive from entering power save mode, it works fine. But 15-20 minutes of no disk activity immediately causes problems.
How do i use dcs-932l with d-viewcam. I tryed to connect but d-viewcam does not recognize model.

Me and my wife, who lives here in the US, always views those IPcams through my web browser from my PC (firefox 7.1).
I was just wondering if there is a different way to watch those cameras using my computer. I was looking for a dedicated D-link APP or Program so I don't have to use the browser anymore.
BTW, my brother uses dyndns with his DCS-2121.

When I attempt to connect them to D-View Cam 3.11 they fail to connect or will not stay connected.I first tried connecting to the router with both cameras in the same room as the router. One will connect and stay connected but the other will connect and freeze or not connect at all. If I move th GOOD camera out of the room, it will not connect.Do I have a router issue? I have done my best to configure the mainconsole correctly so that my cam's will record on motion based occurances on a weekly schedule of 24 hours a day everyday. I have a lot of evidence that the system is recording as when I have the console open that there is motion detected and there are 3 folders in my nas unit that has tons of .dat files in them. My problem comes in when using the playback system. When I select the search by date/time button and locate the folder that is for a the camera I am interested in playing video for the results never show up!

During the day it works great, but after nightfall the camera shows random lines in the [poor] video. These lines are being picked up as motion and as such the camera records all night long taking up massive amounts of disk space. Even when I put the camera motion detection on 'lowest' value, it still picks it up.

But if I record the video and play it back, there is no audio on the playback. I have the microphone on the camera enableI now have sound recording, however, the audio is about 3 seconds behind the video. Is there a setting somewhere to keep them synchronized? i have this problem when using Remote Live Viewer the Web Remote Client of DviewCam 3.2: i can only see one camera at a time, even more i have to stop playing the current one if i want to change the camera. the viewer shows me the grid for playing many cameras but i don't know if they can be played simultaneously. I can select any camera and will play so i don't think it's an access problem.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have (2) 942-L, and (1) 5222-L on one network. port forwarding set on router; (942) 192.168.1.3:1024, (942) 192.168.1.4:1025, and (5222) 192.168.1.8:80. no matter if all 3 are connected to dViewCam, only two will work at a time. Disconnect any third, and they work fine. reconnect 3rd, and one disconnects intermittently. On a side note, if I run a different program on another computer (iMac); i.e. IP Camera Viewer, they all work fine. I know, I know, but I like DViewCam, because it's the only thing running the PC computer.

I installed the latest version (3.1.1). As soon as I launch the Main Console it crashes and I get the "Missing or Corrupted Files error code 268435457". My Motorola Surfboard cable modem (on PenTeleData/Service Electric) and my D-Link DIR-655 don't seem to be getting along.If I plug a network cable directly from the modem into a computer, it works fine. However, if I go from the modem to the router's WAN port, it doesn't seem to want to connect to the router at all (no matter what DNS settings I change on the router (including spoofing the MAC address of a working computer) or which network cables I use; the "activity" light on both the router and the modem remain off).Also, if I take a network cable and plug one end in one of the LAN ports on the router and the other end in the WAN port, it works (well, the "internet" activity light on the front of the router comes on and the status page at http://192.168.0.1/Status/Device_Info.shtml says "Cable Status: Connected; Network Status: Incorrectly configured - check logs" instead of "Cable Status: Disconnected; Network Status: Disconnected").
View 11 Replies View RelatedSetup my DCS-930L for DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Server) so I can access the DCS-930L via the Internet (couldn't access the camera half the the time while on vacation using mydlink) and can now access the camera using my laptop, Android Thrive, and Motorola Droid 3 via the URL I've created but can only see the video when using the laptop.
I have the DCS-930L set to Java but when I log into the camera with the Thrive or Droid 3 (both Android devices) I don't get video. I can make changes to the camera settings and everything else you can do when logged into the camera but just can't see the video. If I change the 'View Mode' in the video setup to 'Image', I will get a picture on all three devices (Thrive, Droid 3, and laptop).
What do I need on the Droid 3 & Thrive so I can see the video when I log into the DCS-930L with an Android device?
"The license is invalid." (Error code:2268435460) it happens with all versions tested on several PCs (Win2003 Server, WinXP). Already tried to reboot, edit the registry, etc but no luck. Using 3 dcs 2121?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm puzzled that you don't seem to be able to do this (a basic feature). Seems like when motion is detected you can only send an email or do the DI/DO thing.
I can do this quite well via the direct web-based interface (1.03 and earlier at least) on the DCS-1130, but the 932L doesn't have video record on motion option (baffled as to why not there too, but that's another issue). So, I was thinking of using the DCS software to get motion-detected recording out of the 932L, but looks like I can't do that either?
Downloaded DVIEWCam 3.0. Are there any plans on supporting older Dlink Cameras like the DCS-2100 etc ...? Even my DCS-3220 is not fully supported, however the 3420 worked in the config menu.
