I just bought Air Video for the ipad, It needs support for the UPnP or NAT-PMP protocols, so does the wireless n do set this up automatically or do you have to manually configure the router, and if so how.

It seems there is a bug with TL-WDR3600. As it can be seen in the following image, the UPnP is off:But my firewall on the computer is reporting flood of packets originating from the router (it's the routers MAC address and IP address):I don't know what ETH type packet is, 0026 might be hex (38 decimal as seen in the raw log). But port 1900 is definitely UPnP.At the router, the wireless switch is off, as well as all other options for sharing etc. This computer is the only one connected to the router. The router has been reset several times.
Is there support for album art or video thumbnails in the UPNP media server on the E3000? I've tried adding jpg files with the same name as the video file, but I see nothing in the client. I've also tried naming them 'folder.jpg' and 'cover.jpg' but still get nothing. If this isn't supported is there any plan to add support in the future?

I can't find out for sure where it says it does or doesn't though I was under the impression that it did.When I load up Screens Connect though it says 'Port mapping unavailable. Check network or router settings" I dno if the fact that I find no specific mention of these features means the router predates them so it's not mentioned.

Of course my WAG 200G in managment menu is for UPNP enabled. ex. downgrade firmware or something like this?

It is fine if both UPnP server and renderor are on either network. There is no problem on other protocol, such as SAMBA from my notebook connected via Wireless to the QNAP NAS connected via Wired to the 655.

Why am I unable to "disable" the UPnP in my TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND wireless router? When I click on the "disable" button nothing changes. I click on the "disable" button that then click of "refresh" and it still doesn't change to disabled.
UPnP seems to be failing somewhere between a few hours and a few days. It will work as expected for a while after starting or restarting the router, but then trying to create any new UPnP mappings will fail, and the ones that have been already created usually stop working. The commandline client upnpc fails to locate the router automatically, and manually navigating to http://192.168.0.1:65530/rootDesc.xml in Chrome returns a connection reset error instead of the expected XML device description.I turned on debug messages in the logs, but there doesn't seem to be anything useful in there (though they also seem to be flooded with a bunch of IPv6 mDNS network hopping, so I'm going to try disabling that for a while and see if that works). I did update to 2.10 and still had the same issue with UPnP, however my wireless network kept going down (I guess a known issue) so I downgraded back to 2.07. After the downgrade, I reset the router and manually re-entered all my settings (i.e. I didn't import them).

In my router's (Netgear WNDR3700) settings, I reserved the local IP address, 192.168.1.80, for the DCS-930L. In the DCS-930L I assigned the network camera HTTP Port 8000; therefore, I can access the DCS-930L on the LAN from [url].... In addition, in the router, I have forwarded port 8000 to the local IP address, 192.168.1.80, so I can access the DCS-930L from outside the LAN.I can access the DCS-930L both from within the LAN and outside of the LAN.
However, even though UPnP and UPnP Port Forwarding in the DCS-930L are disabled, the DCS-930L keeps adding and deleting UPnP NAT rules in the router. In addition, a system at the IP address, 207.232.83.172, keeps attempting to access the DCS-930L from different ports. I recently upgraded from Linksys WRT54G to D-Link DIR-655 firmware version 2.0. All the features are working as advertised however i am having difficulties accessing UPnP services in my network. I have a Samsung 55" internet enabled TV connected to the router and also have few devices that can stream over UPnP to the TV. The option to enable the UPnP is enabled in the router configuration however its not finding devices in the network ... comparing that with Linksys ... all i had to do is enable the UPnP and all my devices discovered each other and started streaming without any issue. What do i need to do in D-Link to enable the UPnP devices ...

View 19 Replies View RelatedI bought yesterday a wireless modem/router and Tp-Link Adsl2+ N300 Modem Router Td-W8960n.I have 2 laptop computers at home.The first issue I have is that with one of the laptops (quite old - Acer Aspire 2420-2579 with Windows Vista Basic Service Pack 1) I can not connect (wireless) to the internet. It says local access only. However in other countries (IM in NZ) it does connect to internet. It does work when I use an Ethernet cable between my router and the laptop. The second issue is with my other laptop. A HP Pavillion DV-4 windows vista home premium service pack 2. I manage to get wireless access to the internet but every couple of minutes the connections drops and starts again by itself�. After 1-2 min approx�. it is getting pretty annoying!I don�t think it is the routher as I also have an XBOX 360 connectet to the internet usign the same device and works absolutely fine!

The Netbook is connected to my wireless network, but will not connect to the internet. I just set up the x2000 at my home Everything seems to be working fine. However, when trying to connect my play station 3. I get upnp not available when I run the internet connection test. With that, i am not able to connect to Modern Warfare 3 online. Haven't tried other games yet but i sign in to the play station network without any problems.

I have a 300GB Seagate SATA drive in a Vantec USB case devided into 3 partitions (volumes as the router wants to call them) connected to the USB port on my TL-WR1043ND touter. This setup works great most of the time, but ocassionally (maybe once every 2 weeks) all 3 WIN 7 Network Maps to this drive fail. Rebooting the router does not fix the problem, BUT going to the USB settings of the html support page and Stopping then Starting the service fixes it every time.

I've got two WDR3600
the first one is the main router:
- connected to ISP modem
- DHCP on
- 2.4Ghz radio to serve WiFi clients security WPA-PSK
- 5GHz radio to link to the second WDR3600
protocol 802.11n only
the second WDR3600 is WDS of the main router:
- DHCP off
- 2.4GHz radio to serve WiFi clients security WPA-PSK
- 5GHz radio to link to the first WDR3600
protocol 802.11n only
All is working fine, however WDS connection works only with security off. WPA-PSK is not selectable, cannot test WPA2, no radius server available, WEP not supported due to incompatibilty with 802.11n protocol. Is this the expected behaviour? How to get WDS working with WPA-PSK encryption? Could this be due to the firmware or s it a limitation of Atheros chipset?
I have a wireless router and I'm trying to user UPnP feature. of course it is enble in the router.
It's working one and after it stop working, looks like the router is not responding anymore. If I got on the web interface of the router, I loging, on the first web page I press save changes, even if I didn't change anything, the UPnP feature work again.
Looks like a timeout occure or something like that. Is there a way to wake up the router without having to go on the web interface? Why it's stop working?
