I have an DLINK-dir 815 router.. I have tried for 10 hours to get broadcast IP to work, no luck.. All html/javascript modifications.
The WOL works on LAN, but not over internet, so I figure it's the broadcast IP that needs to be virtual servered
My D-Link DIR-655 most of the time does not broadcast wireless signal. I use Windows 7 and XP with same result. I see at least a dozen of broadcasting wireless signal in my network. Even after it worked, then next time I power-on PC, the signal is not there. The Router does not show the status light for wireless usage for these non-broadcasting time. It works and does not work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my DIR-825 (type B, .202NA FW) all set up and wireless is working well, EXCEPT for the fact that inSSIDer consistently shows it broadcasting at only 54mbps, while it also shows several of my neighbors in the 150 and 300 ranges. I'm using a DWA 160 adapter in my notebook.
I have my 2.4 channel set for g&n, and my 5.0 channel at N only. both WPA2 and AES. WMM enabled. I've tried any number of combinations but nothing seems to work.
If I was content with 54mbps, I'd have stuck with my old G router.
I have an AS-external route being redistributed into OSPF from a static route on one of my routers. I recently changed the static route from a /24 to a /26 and all of a sudden the link ID of the segment in the OSPF database went from the network address to the broadcast address: Code:

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my firmware for a DIR-601 router and have internet while hardwired, but no wireless. I saved the configuration settings before updating, but this doesn't even matter because my wireless router doesn't even show up in the list of available wireless network connections. Why isn't my router showing up? I tried a few things like unplugging it and resetting it, but nothing seems to work.

Is it possible to disable broadcasting that the WDR4300 is made by TP-Link? I want to continue to broadcast the SSID but not the manufacturer. I have looked in the various menu pages and cannot figure out how to have this happen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a DIR-655 B1 router. The firmware is 2.00 NA. Just to clarify, the DSi itself does work with WPA, but the games only work with WEP. I made a guest account and set it to WEP and it still does not work. I have tried making the main connection WEP as well, but when I go on the game and try it, it says it is WPA and not WEP. My friend has a DIR-655 as well, but the hardware and firmware version are different. Her games work flawlessly.

I am unable to return my cameras to staples and Im out the money for the memory cards I opened. It says you can record with MAC clearly on the box!!!! Bad business practice for STAPLES and DLINK.

I have a client that is using a DIR-655 router. He uses Cisco VPN to access his work PC. At first, the only way we could get this to work was by skipping the router and plugging directly in to the modem. This is not ideal - so after receiving no response here to this question - I did the following - I put his PC (by IP) in a DMZ. This has done the trick - but will only work until the next time his IP address changes.

Works great on my android phone and connects fairly quick. When I try to see the camera image on my PC with windows 7 64 bit, I log into my d-link and it shows the camera name on left side of screen, then says Java run time environment not installed.I uninstalled java 5 times and re installed both 32 and 64 bit but keeps coming back as not installed. Camera is set up wirelessly through a Belkin router, so far no EZ config

i tried with 4 wlan adapters: two of them support 802.11b/g, they always work find no matter which settings. the other two support 802.11b/g/n, as default "n" is enabled, so does DIR-615, both wlan adapters can be connected to DIR-615, they get their LAN-IP, but they can access neither DIR-615(no respone to ping) nor internet. but if i disable "n" mode either in the adapter or in DIR-615, everythin works fine, of course only with 54mbit max.
so what can i do to use the n mode?
i've tried plugging in various devices (computer & solar panel management device) into the ethernet ports to no avail. i just updated the firmware, reset the router, and still no luck. all of the lights work when i reset and the wifi works fine. do i need to do something in the settings to turn on the hard connection?

I updated the firmware to 1.02 and messed around with various settings but it just won't work. Well, I can get registered and everything looks ok but, when I receive a call, the person at the other end can't hear me. I can hear them fine, but they can't hear me. I don't have any problem when I call someone. Still, it is frustrating. The problem persist even though I put the ATA in the DMZ.

I have tried forwarding all of the needed ports and even placing the device in the DMZ but can't get it to work with this router. I have noticed that this router has no way to disable SIP ALG which should eliminate the issues I am having. Why would D-Link give us no way to disable this "feature" that is known to cause issues with VOIP devices?

My (SIP protocol) VOIP phone (192.168.0.100) does not work anymore since I use this router. It worked fine on my old WRT54G. The phone logs-in normally at the voip provider but when I make a call, it seems that the ports are not forwarded or are blocked by the firewall. I have tried to manually setup portforwarding and virtual server instead of portforwarding.
I have tried many things, from disabling QOS, SPI, end point filtering and more but it does not work. I have also programmed DMZ for my ip-phone, but it does not work. Nothing found in the logfiles about frame drops. (I have setup a syslog on my linux-server)
There seems to be a bug causing frames dropped, as my setup has always worked with my WRT54, and should work with DMZ set, but it does not. The same setup works fine on a DIR-655 of a friend.
My DIR 655 is refusing to act like a router and more like a normal switch. Anything involving the router side of things(DHCP,firewall,wireless, etc) does not work.
Basically when it powers up the blue power light comes on and that's it. If I plug my cable modem into the wan port then this light comes on with nothing else. If I then proceed to plug a cable into Lan 1 I get the address of my cable modem assigned to my computer and all internet access is fine. As opposed to being assigned an address from the router's DHCP. If I plug a cable from another router into any of the lan ports on the DIR 655 then I get assigned addresses from that router's DHCP and all internet access is routed through.
I tried to set it up on a new dir 655 but the password the roku asks for does not work. I have the latest firmware installed. I tried entering my ssid manually and then the key. I did reset everything and try again. Why is my wireless not working? The ethernet port to my desktop is working fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe DIR-825 wireless simply doesn't work. When I called tech support, we cleared some settings and hard-powered the unit on/off and it finally turned on the wireless radio. A couple weeks later I pull out my laptop to use in the house via wireless and the wireless on the DIR-825 is OFFLINE AGAIN...fallen and it can't get UP.Is anyone having issues with keeping their wireless online? OK - powered it off for 5 minutes...now the wireless is working. I think changing configuration settings causes the thing to lock up.

getting the MR3420 but will be using a ZTE 669 Turbo stick as the modem ISP Telecom New Zealand.I did notice that they seem to be supporting the ZTE 668+ which I'm guessing is a vary similar model.
I wanted to upgrade to the latest firmware (2.03NA). Something went wrong and now the router comes up with the orange light flashing. So the system is in emergency firmware upgrade mode. I set my IP to 192.168.0.2 and connect to the web interface at 192.168.0.1. I see a page with "Firmware Upgrade System" and "Version 1.0.0.2". So far so good. I can now select the firmware and click "send". But then nothing really happens. I can wait for a couple of minutes and then run into a timeout. I tried different browsers (Linux: Firefox, Chrome, etc). I even tried it Windows 7 with IE 8 and I get the same result. It seems that the cgi (192.168.0.1./cgi/index) is not really doing anything?

The other computers can be easily connected to a USB printer on my DIR-825 (HW B1) router, but the W8 computer refuses to completely install Shareport (both the CD version and the latest download v1.17). I also tried Shareport-Plus v4.11 (found on the DIR 835 page), which did install correctly, but was still unable to see the USB printer. What can be done? Can D-Link provide a new version of Shareport?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't get my brand new DCS-930L cam to connect to my network by using the WPA / WPA2 encryption. Works ok wired, with WEP or with no encryption enabled. Red led is on the front. I've tested sw version 1.02, 1.03 and the latest 1.04b03. Same result: WPA doesn't work. I have a Thomson TG789 Gateway/Router as provided by my ISP. All other units in the network works perfectly fine on WPA i.e. PC, Mac, printers, mobile phones etc etc.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have hardware version B1, firmware version 2.00NA and several computers (wired & wireless) with Vista & Win 7 x64 and a Brother HL1440 printer.When I print something it comes out scrambled, images missing or cut off, empty pages, etc. This same setup worked fine when it was directly into one computer, then shared on the network though windows sharing. The problem was that computer had to be running to print off the network. I got the dir655 since it had printer sharing but so far its not been of any luck.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a DSL router Pirelli PDF A1000G.I have a Linksys e3000 and I have a dap-1522.When I bought a dap-1522 I thought it could do access point in fact i saw many videos in dlinktv before choosing an access point from DIY with mike etc to youtube there are 2 videos one showing bridged mode and another ap mode!Now what happens is this I have upgraded from firmware 1.11 that came as default to 1.21 i connect it wired to my linksys e3000 when it is connected with the ethernet cable wired I can connect to the internet and navigate and open sites and my ps3 can connect to it but my range is not very good only 40%!
Now I bring it downstairs remove the ethernet cable and connect it to the power and then you can connect to it but since it isn't connected to my router which is upstairs i can't access websites neither can I play on my ps3!I don't know does only ap mode works when it is connected to the router wired because what happens is if you don't put ethernet cables in the back of the dap-1522 and just connect it to power then here doewnstairs you can connect to the dap-1522 my signal is like 87% but while I'm connected with my laptop I can't access websites and in the ps3 I can't connect!
and choose access points there are (4) listed: dap-1522, dap-1160, dap-1353 and dap-2553, I thought of buying dap-1522 because it could support abgn while 1160 only supports g and 1353 only supports n to repeat to signal here downstairs and be a good access point!

i have a DIR-615 Rev C1, firmware 3.13.
After a reboot my password doesn't work anymore (wich is normal I guess) and all default passwords dont either. Such as ''Password'' or ''Admin''.
I realized that when I connect dir825 on bridging mode to my current voip router provided by my ISP (dvg-n5402) ,shareport does not work as it seems to be using the default gateway to find the usb, which in this case default gateway goes to the gateway of my voip router. Is there any way that I can make shareport use the gateway of my dir825 instead?
