Let's suppose I'm connected to a network whose admin asked in a friendly way not to download anything but certain things he specified.He never came to my machine or setup any kind of client to it. The question now is, is there any chance he knows what I download???Does he know the name and the extension of the file I download if I use Utorrent and magnet links?
View 2 RepliesI can't install or extract any file or archive downloaded through shared connection from the 1st PC via a LAN ... tried new LAN and tried switch the LANs but doesn't work always a CRC error when extract an archive or file corrupted when install anything downloaded:this is what I tried so far
-tried download and extract on a 2nd installed windows (I have dual boot) and its same CRC error
-tried another non built-in LAN card pci-E x1 and its the same CRC error
-tried restore bios to default and its same CRC error
-tried putting a laptop on the same line instead of my PC and it works no errors no problems

I have downloaded the new firmware for the SG500. I see there are two files included in the download, a boot file (rfb) and regular firmware image (ros). I have looked and haven't seen anything about the rfb files. I know it is a boot file, but do not know if I should update the boot file first and then the firmware image or vice versa. Also, in my update screen on the SG500, the boot file option is greyed out.

External User (Internet) -> Calls connection on port 22 Internal server 192.168.1.124
External User (Internet) -> Calls connection on port 80 of the Internal 192.168.1.124 server or other server the same inside.
In the first moment I'm just testing the access port 22.I had it working in version 8.2 but after I updated to 8.4 does not work, I've tested several different configurations.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had originally set up my E1200 Jan 2012 & had Cisco Connect setup. I didn't use it much but back in Oct after being away for 10 days I didn't have internet connection. Had to re-set both cable modem--then I at least had connection via ethernet, but still no wifi connection. Had to turn off for awhile to get it Router to properly reset & work. & then I think I had to do another reset maybe in Dec, can't remember exactly.
As I mention in another post, I have been having frequent intermittent not connected to internet messages for a long time. Usually if I just turn wifi off & then turn it back on it finds my network (although frequently I notice that it was on my guest network rather than main). I still don't know if it is cable modem, router or my ISP, altho they came out & checked & said signals ok, but modem could be going (Its old but about to move so don't want to buy new modem now).
I updated to Mountain Lion about 2-3 weeks ago.After a Panic last night I was advised to make sure everything updated including router firmware.When I opened Cisco Connect it said I had an unsupported Operating System. Trying to figure this all out, I finally found links to download Cisco Connect that are supposed to be compatible w Mountain Lion (at least the original link said that, but not where I went w the links so hoping it is right link for that). Anyway I downloaded it & was reading a bit & then clicket on the setup icon.
That said it was damaged & to eject it. I downloaded it via wifi just like I download other software. Maybe it is hyper sensitive so I need to take it over to plug directly into my cable modem? But then that will mess up the router, although I guess it will need to be reset any way.So I think i need to get Cisco Connect updated so it works w Mountain Lion. Mountain Lion told me about 1 software that wasn't compatible but didn't pick up on Cisco Connect.So don't know if I need to do a hard wired download, unlike the way I download other things, or what to get an undamaged copy. I then hope that it will see the old version, even though it isn't didn't work & hopefully pick up all my settings & all.
& then I guess I still need to check for a firmware update. & I understand that a firmware update should be done w a good connection (although the user manual just says good signal, web says hard wired ethernet. & because of the intermittent issues I plan to to it manually by 1st downloading & then installing from the download so there won't be a risk of interruption during install--if its even needed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working with a Cisco Unified CM 7.0There are sevral ip phones in the place.ach phone has a 3 digit extension tied to it. no matter where on the network that phone is plugged in that phone has the same extension. This is a problem because one phone (extension 134) is damaged and was swapped out with a phone that has extension 102. I want that phone that has extension 102 to have the extension 134 instead.So that is my problem. I must say I am merely a CCNA and I have no idea about this voip stuff. I thought it was a simple log in to the server and make a single change. boy was I wrong. I clicked on call routing, then I clicked on Directory number and I got a list of all the DNs. I then click on extension 102 and 134. I noticed the MAC of the respective phones was in a field titled associated devices. I then dissociated both phones thinking I could just associate the appropriate phones next. as soon as I hit save that entire section disappeared. Now those extension aren't tied to any phone and once more those phones now have no extensions. I am freaking out because I can't undo this. I've clicked on literally every single option inside this server. I am in way over my head. I will include a picture to illestrate what I am talking about.

now the extension does power the adapter, but the cpu doesnt seem to recognize the adapter is plugged in, but if i plug the adapter straight into the computer then it all works fine.
other people seem to have no problem at all doing this to achieve better signal.

I have a pbx avaya phone system with lines and extension number.I needed a phone with line and extension.So i run the ethernet cable to the office made all connection and connected ethernet wire directly to the pbx avaya, and i got the phone working with the extension.But my question is to get the line working and the extension i have to punch down the cable from the pbx, the ethernet wire and the pair of wire coming in with the line?

(just something about my stucco walls)
So here is my question.I have my old DLINK dir-655. Would it be advisable to use a powerline connection (I already have Powerline adapters) to the ground floor near the back and piggyback the wireless?(This would also allow me to Hardwire the TV/ps3/htpc)
I've recently obtained a Cisco Aironet 1242AG WAP. I do realize this is not a standalone router. I would like to use it as an extension of my current router. So right now, the status light is alternating colors. If I understand this correctly, it cannot find the controller. I cannot telnet into it, or use the web broswer interface. They both say the connection is not available. However, when I check my DHCP table from my router, I see that an IP has been assigned to the MAC for the WAP. I've tried doing a factory reset by holding MODE before I plug in the power, and waiting until it turns amber. After a few minutes and going through a few LED changes, it goes back to continuosly alternating colors.

I have 2 Linksys wireless routers, 1 is located downstairs, connected to the cable modem and setup wireless, the other is on the second floor on the other side of the house. I need to extend the wireless range but also keep the 2 pcs upstairs connected through the Ethernet cable.
Router A Connected downstairs to modem 192.168.1.1 DHCP enabled (Change scope to leave out the .2) WPA on wireless setup channel 11
Router B Give it a static ip of 192.168.1.2 Connect cable from wall to any LAN port on router
Setup WPA using same SSID and PW different channel . Leave the 2 pc's connected as before.
The other 2 hardwired PCs should get an address from Router A and be able to connect to the internet?Does this make sense and should it work?
In CUCME if you do not configure any translation rules and leave the system mainly at default, when a call is routed to the PSTN the CUCME system sends the true calling party ID which would be a users extension number. Is it correct to assume that a CUCM server based system, when too left at the majority of default (without translation rules or stripping etc) that it will send the true calling ID to the gateway?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a WRT54G that has served us well for several years, but I needed a network connection in another part of the house, both wired for TV, and wireless for downstairs. So I ran an ethernet cable through the house and connected it to my new E1200. It's connected to Port 1, not the Internet port. The TV plugs into Port 2, and my Apple TV to port 3. So far so good, TV and Apple TV appear to work fine. Wireless is where I'm having problems, the wireless signals between the two routers appear on Wifi Analyzer I'm using. Both appear strong in signal for a second, then they disappear, then they appear again for a second, then they disappear. So the wifi's signals appear, then disappear and this cycle continues.
The WRT54G is setup with DHCP, channel 6.
IP Address: 192.168.1.1 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 DHCP Server: Enabled Start IP Address: 192.168.1.100 End IP Address: 192.168.1.149
The E1200 DHCP is disabled, channel 11, 20mhz.

I've tried both routers named the same, and then tried 2 different names. I've rebooted them as well after making changes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working on a Drupal site which is on a virtual server (the way it's been explained to me). I've been told I need to work with it through webdev. So I can copy a file off the server and onto my local machine. I make my edits and then try to upload it to the server. I get locked out with the message: Error 0x80070021: The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file. I have tried shutting down my code editor, opening and closing the connection, tried different methods of reaching the server (Cyberduck and through Window's map network feature) to no avail. What can I do?
