I just bought the e1000 router today and I'm already having trouble. I got it setup the first time and all my computers set up with it and it works fine for internet. Everything is snappy and responsive and I don't have any of the problems I did with my old belkin. However, I am unable to connect to the router using cisco connect or the web interface. I need to forward ports, configure wireless security, etc etc. All I did was disable the guest account through cisco connect, and then when the software just sat there doing nothing with the spinning circle in the middle, I opened task manager and killed the process to get it to go away. Now I can't connect using either cisco connect or the web interface.

It worked perfectly, but when I returned home I found my laptop could no longer connect to the home network, it just says it cannot connect, but all the over devices in the house work. My laptop can still connect to the internet via an ethernet cable but this isnt practical at home. I can't seem to connect my laptop using my ethernet cable, but I'm able to connect it to the Internet using my wireless connection. Whenever I plug in the cable, my computer tells me that the LAN connection is connected, but I can't open a web page. I have a new broadband connection and I was kinda facing problems connecting wirelessly with my router.So I did go to my router page and then cloned my MAC book's mac id, and it worked fine. I'm able to connect to the internet wirelessly. However, I can't connect to internet from an Windows XP lappy. I have removed, re-added the network, the network is very much identified but the laptop doesn't wanna connect to the internet wirelessly.Both the laptops MAC Book pro and Dell(the one which has XP loaded) were able to connect without any problem in the previous ISP's case but XP doesn't wanna connect to with the new ISP.

xbox 360 sees both the 2.4 network (ssid = network1) and the 5.0 network (ssid network2) when it does its scan.
Initially, xbox showed network strength for 2.4 network at 3 out of 4 bars and 5.0 network at 1 out of 4 bars. Connects to 2.4 network just fine, Won't pull an ip address and reports "Not connected" when I select the 5.0 network.
I tweaked the wireless settings per some suggestions I found in this forum and now it shows the 5.0 network at 4 out of 4 bars signal strength. Also turned security on and off and xbox 360 reported the changes in security on the 5.0 network. So the xbox 360 is definitely seening the 5.0 network. and can tell if it is running WPA2 or not. If it can see the 5.0 network and recognizes what security and network type (infrastructure) is set, would would stop it from connecting to the WRT610n router and getting an IP address? No mac filters or firewalls are set and, again, connects just fine and gets an ip address if I select the 2.4 (network1 ssid) instead.

I have 1 laptop using 5G, my iphone using 2G and my wife mac using also 2G.. the problem is that, once we stop using the 2G connection (leave it overnight), it just dies the next day.. it wont connect, i double check the password and it wont connect. I have a Canon iP3600 printer plugged in to a desktop computer, running Windows XP.The printer is set up to be shared and several devices around the house are connected to it, via WiFi, including my old Acer laptop.The Acer is running Windows Vista and happily prints remotely, provided the XP desktop is on, of course. However, my Acer is now dying and I've replaced it with a Dell laptop, running Windows 7. I've set the new Dell up to use the printer directly, via the USB cable. However, when I try to connect the Dell remotely, via wifi, when I use the 'Add printer' facility I've used a hundred times before, when I do it on this computer, the wizard reports it cannot find a driver. I also get this problem on our eMachines laptop, running Vista, and another desktop machine also running Vista.
However, an HP laptop running Windows 7 upgrade, several Android phones, games machines etc. can all print remotely, quite happily.It doesn't appear to be anything to do with the signal - I've tried practically sitting on top of the printer, and practically sitting on top of the Router, with no problems. And attempting to direct the 'Add printer' wizard to another driver doesn't seem to work either. It just seems a bit thick. "Can't see printer driver!" How about the one under your flippin' computer eyes then? No? It's not that going downstairs and plugging in the printer USB is inconvenient.
