Since i upgraded to the latest firmware my WAG160N reboots, the same as others that i read here in the forum, now i need to revert to the old firmware but sadly when i check the File is not Found. Please, re upload the old firmware.
View 1 RepliesI have a series of problems I think are due to my 310N. First, with Facebook, I will suddenly be redirected to a248.e.akamai.net., which Chrome flags as an SSL error. Second, with (and only with) NYTimes.com, I will get "file not found" (and no numerical error) when trying to retrieve an article (via Chrome). AND, again only with NYTimes.com, I will get high-bit ascii characters in headlines. For other sites, I will get "invalid url" messages on web pages. If I unplug the modem and let it rest for 30 seconds, that seems to solve the problem. I have to do this at least once a day.
More than once a day. I don't think it's a 310N problem; but I've asked about this on other forums and got no useful reply. Previously I had similar problems with my 160 router. So, it's not the router. HOWEVER, shutting it off works with lot of the problems. Right now, after shutting off the router and turning it back on, now Facebook just doesn't come up at all. No error, just don't come up. I can ping it.
I get the following error message at startup.

What is the implication of the error message 106007? Do I have no problem continuing to be left out of this error?
Cisco... Have two new 3750X switches (24P-L, and 48PF) trying to stack. Brought them up together a few weeks ago with the 24P using LANBase and the 48 IPBase. The expected happened. They saw each other in the stack ring, and the 24 port was excluded due to license miss match. This was corrected. Now both are IPBase.Now I have the two switches stacked, and boot the 48 and 24 at the same time. Monitoring the 48 I get a check message "FIPS: Flash key check: End, Not found. FIPS: Stacking Not Found". The 48 does confirm the stack cable is connected. This happens early in the boot process, before master election.OK.... Now looking at the 24 Port. After applying the new license, and actually booting successfully and few times. It will no longer load the boot file. Wants an environment variable. Going to have to dig into ancient history for that. Had to deal with that one about 8 years ago. Do not feel that is part of the stack disable issue though.

I was told a while back to hard code my DNS settings into the connection. That seemed OK, but last night, again got "invalid URL message" so I went back to getting DNS servers automatically. (what prompted the change was that I couldn't get to washingtpost.com). So, today I'm on NYTimes.com and everything is OK but when I try to access two pages (Op-Ed) I get "file not found". (IT was originally two pages and now it's many more.) I've had people look at the output from IPCONFIG /ALL; but any pointers, tips, etc. This seems limited to my desktop computer; the laptop on the same router is OK (also Win7).

I created the repository by TFTPing the file to disk:/Upgrade and pointing a repository to disk:/Upgrade. I verified the checksum of the file as it sits on my TFTP server and also manually extracted the file to verify the manifest.xml file is actually there.
I'm using the Linksys Wag325N which always served me well. I've always been able to get my VPN to my workplace going. Until now. I've edited a hostfile on my mac (etc/ppp/ip-up) to get a route setup to be able to use internet and the vpn at the same time. But now the vpn would work no more. Why do i think that it is a router problem? Because other computers in my home network aren't able to establish the vpn they used to work with for a long time.
1. is it possible that my /etc/ppp/ip-up on my computer messes up the router?
2. Is there a way to completely reset my router? Tried "restore to factory settings" which did not work. Is there a "harder" reset?
I have a problem with my Linksys X3000 and Samsung TV. When I use X3000 as Media Server and connect TV from Lan, I see the list of MKV files, but when a want played TV displayed that file not supported!I knew, that TV support this format from USB, and installed the Twonky MediaServer 6.0.34 (as on Linksys X3000) on Virtually Machine under Windows XP and try, but again displayed file not supported.Then I change (Virtual_Machine_IP:9000/config) in Media Receivers "Generic Media Receiver" on "Samsung TV" and My can play mkv files without problem.Why I can not entered to Twonky Media Server config page (I see a "Service not available") and why I can not change "Media Receivers" on the X3000?

I can see who is connected via the physical ethernet ports on the E4200 router. However, is there a way to check who is connected to the wireless network. Also is there a way to see rx/tx bytes statistics for all wired and wireless users (including ones that are no longer connected)? I've had the router for 3 months now and it works great but I find there isn't enough operational user info/stats on this router.

I read the forums and have been googling all morning and I found one topic that said that version 3 (Vista compatible) WPC54G_V31_driver_4.100.15.5_vista.exe..will work with ver 4. I have tried it and my adapter will still not see the files in the extracted folder. There's 5 files in the folder and when I do the hardware/update driver method it won't see the drivers. I have tried all the other version and none will load??
How can I get this driver to work with my Windows XP? I don't have the CD anymore.
I get a timeout in Cisco Connect when I select "Connect USB drive". Also there is no detection through the router website. The hard drive works fine when I hook it up via USB. It's NTFS formatted. Is there any other way to make the router detect the drive? (It does recognize a USB stick, so it's no hardware issue on that side)

I have had an issue with my AE2500 wireless adapter. I am using a LInksys E2500 dual band router but my samsung laptop's wireless adapter doesn't support 5ghz band, so bought the AE2500.I disabled the internal adapter and got the AE2500 connected up. I've set up the 5ghz channel with wireless N, and left 2.5ghz as it was. Somehow I am now experiencing slower speeds on both bands, when using speedtest.net's speed test. It's the 2nd time in my life I am having an issue like this, where I am adding something with capacity for more speed but end up things being worse. Previous was with a netgear adapter and router a few years ago. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I honestly don't think so.Also best sequence to get the new adapter connected? Should I do it before I disable the existing adapter?
