I just spilled water on my companies Dell Latitude D630 and it didn't start. On the D630 I signed onto a domain. When I put the hard drive from the D630 to a Dell D620 the domain option is grayed out. The only option is to log onto locally. Is there anywhere to get the domain option back?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been having some connectivity problems and one suggested solution was to upgrade networking firmware. I did this for our router (Cisco RVS4000 v2) and it didn't work, so I moved on to the wireless access points (two WAP4410N). Before doing that, I also reset both to factory default settings - neither would respond to pressing the reset button but it seemed to work using the web interface for both.
Before I did anything to the WAP4410Ns, I noticed they were connected in B/G/N-Mixed mode to channel 6. Now the wireless network mode is stuck on Disable. I can choose B/G/N-Mixed from the dropdown list, but can't choose a channel - the dropdown list for that is empty. And if I try to choose Save after choosing B/G/N-Mixed, it reverts to Disable.

Can't seem to choose my DNS server (use Unblock-US) since the router insistently forces me to use the DNS from ISP.How can i work this around? I'm kinda tired of people asking me why i am changing the DNS. I want to change the DNS and that's final. It's a resource like any other and i want to use it.P.S: i tried most of the basic troubleshooting. I tried my old router back on and the DNS's works fine. I tried even conecting the old router re-routing the new one, and the other router manages the selected DNS's servers fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have setup 15 x RV180W's so far for a particular client.They have requested that we add a Corporate Wireless VLAN for their laptop users (not guests) and add a Special Use WiFi VLAN for a particular mobile platform that is being deployed (in this case we need 2 separate WiFi VLANs to ensure compliance).Also, none of the VLANs can talk to eachother and they have their own subnets.I have the Wireless and VLANs setup, no problem... but I am having an issue wiht the VPN settings.I have the wired network's subnet working fine. But I do not know how to add the subnets for both Wireless VLANs to the traffic selection.The IP schemes will not allow me to just select a large subnet... here are some examples:
Wired VLAN: 10.10.x.y
Corporate WiFi VLAN: 10.15.x.y
Special WiFi VLAN: 10.18.x.y
x is the octet that defines the physical unit location (unit 1 = .23, unit 2 = .24, etc...) y is the octet the host.Since they are not in a contiguous block, I cannot just use a larger subnet mask.I can add multiple traffic selection rules to the ASA5515 at HQ, so that side of the tunnel is perfect... I just don't know how to add the three VLANs to the RV180. Is it as simple as using commas or semicolons?

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have a stack of 3750x, with minimal configuration. there are two vlans, and two vlan interfaces with IP addresses. when i ping out from this switch to another host, it picks vlan1's ip address as the source automatically. i tested this by doing two pings with extended options using each vlan's interface as the source, and got different results. how the switch decided to use the first vlan's ip address as a source.

After stopping WCS & rebooting:Health Monitor is running with an error.WCS is stopped.Database server is stopped Apache server is running After attempting to restart/start WCS:Health Monitor is already running.This was a clean install/upgrade a few weeks ago. 7.0.172 wouldn't install on top of the previous version so I had to uninstall, install and restore. WCS had been solid ever since.
I have a lap top that someone else uses, is there anyway I can set some setting that erasing the history is not an opinion?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI disabled my Intel PWLA8391GT because i wanted to test the onboard network, was not happy with the onboard network so i tried to switch back by enabling the drivers... well it then had a little yellow triangle with a ! in the middle it then told me that it could not start... I then restarted my computer and when i started it was in the unknow as pci device i then installed the drivers manually and it ran into the problem again..

The connction status sometimes show's limited connectivity when I click on disconnect and connect again it prompts for troubleshoot connectivity problem, on clicking this it runs a few checks and brings up a window saying connectivity has been fixed and then my internet work's fine. This problem sometimes does not occur all the time. Sometimes after i switch on the router and then the wifi switch it connects just fine.
