Wireless :: Typing 192.168.0.1 And Webpage Says HTTP 401 Unauthorized

Dec 17, 2011

192.168.0.1 "HTTP 401 unauthorized access: Authorization is required to access the configuration server. You must enter the correct username and/or password."I am trying to set up my Netgear wireless router. I have my username and password, but never get the chance to type it in. My Default Gateway is set to 192.168.0.1, but when I type it in the web address, I get the HTTP 401 error message above. I can access the internet through LAN cable now, but would like to get wireless set up to do so..

Security / Firewalls :: When Typing And Press Space Bar Two Pop-ups Appear?

Dec 5, 2011

just happened recently when im typing in threads or for websites, the second i hit the space bar two pop up ads appear making me have to close them to get back to what i was typing. These sites are annoying as you have to press leave page as well to close it. as you carry on typing the second you hit the space bar again it does another two pop-ups, which you can imaging gets annoying lol. I'm running Webroot full edition from a shop legit and would have thought it would prevent this happening? Is their anything i can do to stop this and would you like me to run a virus scan and post results?

Home Network :: Unauthorized Name And Password Change?

Nov 1, 2012

In short, I had the following problem in the past but it solved itself when people physically left the area. Now they are back, the problem is occurring and this time I have as many router settings as I can find to maybe aid in the solution. This is the problem:We have a wireless network where the physical equipment is not available to users and yet, the local network name and password continues to be changed wirelessly FROM say, "ABC network" with network password "ABC secret password" to "Jimmy's Network" and network password "some new string of letters and numbers". (we know who Jimmy is but will not approach him until we learn if this situation is inadvertent on his part or more purposeful, which we doubt as of now)Cisco Lynksys Wireless-N Home Router WRT120N[CODE]

Cisco VPN :: 5520 - Getting Unauthorized Connection Mechanism

Jun 12, 2012

I have a Cisco 5520 cluster and Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client 3.0.5080. I eventually want to connact by means of a Smard Card and I was able to connect a view weeks ago. Now I am hastled by the error Logon denied, unauthorized connection mechanism, contact your administrator. Well that's me and a do not know anymore where to look on the Asa. I thought it had something to do with the authentication method, but AAA (AD or Local), nor cetificates is now working.

Cisco's solution...:

Error: "Login Denied , unauthorized connection mechanism , contact your administrator"

AnyConnect clients are failing to connect to a Cisco ASA. The error in the AnyConnect window is "Login Denied , unauthorized connection mechanism , contact your administrator".

I use 802.1x to authenticate the company-network devices - authentication works fine. I do not use dynamic V LAN --> static V LAN-config on 802.1x ports --> authenticated devices have access to the network.

Is it possible to use a guest-V LAN? un authenticated devices should connect to an other v lan than authenticated devices.

One more question: Is MAC-authentication also possible?

I need to check all the users activity in the network like if someone plug an access point to the network or a router.I just checked Cisco NAC and how to detect those activities on the network.

I need to get more details on Cisco NAC or other products for that purpose. also what is the difference between Cisco NAC and application like Microsoft TMG?

is it agent less or I have to install something on computers? is it working as a default router for users computers?

Wireless Internet Connection - Cannot Display Webpage

Aug 25, 2011

There are 2 laptops (Windows XP and Windows Vista), 3 iPhones and a PS3 in my house which all run on WiFi (Linksys) and normally do so without any problems. Well, yesterday I woke up to find that when I looked at my connection status all of these were showing that they had 100% Internet connection but none of them will actually connect. My phone only tells me that it has no connection when I try and open Safari or any other app that uses Internet and my computer says that it Cannot Display Webpage.I have had this problem about 3 1/2 months ago and was able to have it fixed over by calling my Internet service provider and the Linksys customer support.

Linksys Wireless Router :: WRT160N V3 - Cannot Connect To Setup Webpage

Apr 20, 2012

Every time I try to connect to the admin page of my router, I get "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."  This happens with FIrefox 11, and started when I upgraded to 8 or 9.  A machine running FF 3.6 does not exhibit this problem; I get right in.  What IE 9 says is "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" (after complaining about the expired certificate).

I ran Wireshark to see if I could learn anything, but all I could figure out was this: https handshake was OK. First TLS packet is received by router, which then immediately issues a reset and ends the connection.  I don't know why.

have I got a screwed up configuration (or router)?

I own a wireless WRT54G, which has worked fine in the past. After setting up a new wireless network, I went to the router webpage to open some ports. The problem with the page loading is that it doesn't display correctly. No clickable text is displayed on the top of the page or the side bar, so I basically can't do anything whatsoever to configure it. I've tried loading it up in both Firefox and Internet Explorer, with IE saying the page loaded but with errors.

Linksys Wireless Router :: WRT54G2 - Unable To Access It Via Webpage

Feb 28, 2013

I have a continuing problem with my WRT54G2 wireless router.  I set up my network, changing the password for the router, and I change the SSID, as well as the encryption password.  When I set it up, and after changing passwords etc.  I always log off, go back and log on, and it works fine.  Once I set up the network, over time, I'll notice a device will no longer connect via wireless.  When that happens, I try to log on to the router, and can not connect to the router using either Firefox or IE.  When I try, I get Internal Server Error, or just nothing.  I can ping the router, and if I run an IPCONFIG at this point, the default gateway does show 192.168.1.1.    Every time this starts to happen, I must do a hard reset of the router.  Once  I do this, I can connect, and log on using the default settings, and re-set everything.  This is a HUGE pain, as it takes a lot of time, and happens way too often.

TP-Link 300Mbps Wireless :: WR841N Becomes Inaccessible Via Webpage And Stops Emailing Logs

May 6, 2013

Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TL-WR841N
Hardware Version : V7
Firmware Version : 3.13.9 Build 120201 Rel.54965n
ISP : Linpop

I have had my WR841N for about a year, supplied to me by my WISP. I like the router in terms of facilities but it seems to have one really annoying problem.

The router becomes inaccessible via the webpage after a random period of several days. I have at times associated the issue with occasional loss of radio broadband service but it is not always so. To try and further localise the problem I set the router up to send emails of the log to me every two hours from 17/04/2013 but today for the second time the emails stopped arriving after the 02:29 message and the router is inaccessible again. The router previously locked up with loss of broadband service on 26/04/2013 sometime after emailing a log at 02:41 on that day but had been running without issue from a cold restart at 12:25 as soon as I noticed loss of service.
Today I have not lost broadband service and so even though I am no longer receiving an emailed log or able to access the router via its webpage I am leaving well alone for the present. Some months ago when I originally noticed the web access issue I downloaded and installed the latest firmware TL-WR841N-v7-120201 and I note that there have been no further firmware releases for the v7 model.

My broadband service is delivered via radio link from a local transmitter mast and is reliable with typical download speed of 20-30Mbps and 30-40Mbps upload, seldom if ever affected by weather so I now feel the problem is inherent in the router rather then being the result of some issue affecting broadband service which has been solid since 26/04/2013

Without the log I have no way of knowing what was happening when the router became inaccessible but I attach the last 24 hours of received log below.

Cisco Wireless :: 5508 - WebPage Auth On MAC Filter Failure Not Working On Anchor

Nov 1, 2011

I have implemented a Guest WLAN solution as per the recommended design from Cisco. We have two internal WiSM2 controllers providing services for Internal secure SSIDs. Both these controllers are members of a Mobility and RF management group.

Two 5508 controllers have been installed in our DMZ for resilience and have been placed into a separate Mobility group. All controllers (internal and external) have been linked together as mobility neighbours in a full mesh and a new SSID for Web Guest traffic has been anchored to the controllers in the DMZ.

Web page authentication works perfectly fine, but I cannot for the life of me get the MAC filtering override to work, i.e. if a MAC address is present, do not redirect to the splash page for web auth.
