One of the many things that I liked about the e4200 over my olg 54GL was the fact that I could reboot it remotely. However, I've recently had a few problems that only a full power down would fix. In addition, I've noticed that the DCHP client table doesn't reset when I do a soft reboot. Is this intentional? Is the soft reboot not really a full reboot? Can it be made a real reboot?
My broadband seems to have stopped uploading data. I run broadbandspeedchecker and it shows download of 8 and then upload doesn't work at all and shows 0.I can browse some pages, but don't have full use of all pages like my CMSA admin, can log into my hosting using FTP, but can't access directories, Skype doesn't connect.Even stranger is it all works for a few seconds, even connecting Skype, but then stops again.I have completed a few system restores going back a week before the initial problem and still no joy!
i have a problm in Epson LQ-2090 Dot Matrix Printer that is LAN Not receiving the data's .....Last time the same prblm came so i installed IP Add thn after 10day's again the same prblm repeating..... So can any one tel me the reason y it happen..... But i think LAN Memory power is gone.
I bought a new Toshiba Satellite C660 laptop with Windows 7 on Sept 1st, and had no problems at first with the mobile broadband. However, on Monday 13th I noticed massive spikes in the data usage. After browsing the internet for around an hour I decided to check my usage randomly, and it was at 350mb!Since then, there's times when I don't even have my browser open and in the space of 5 minutes it will reach 150mb of usage. There's also times when it works absolutely perfectly for hours on end (including today, where it was working fine up until around an hour ago!) I phoned the mobile broadband company twice last week, the first time the person told me that it was a computer issue and to go to an IT repair place.
So after sending him screencaps of Windows task manager processes/applications/network he can't see anything that could be doing it. He advised me to do a full antivirus scan, and full malwarebytes and ad aware scans and they've all come up clean.The second time I phoned the broadband company, they told me that there were some wrong settings, and that they've been changed now but if I have any more problems to ring customer care again.So after seeing an offer with a different mobile broadband provider, I decided to buy a new broadband stick and change networks in hoping that would solve the problem.... it didn't.
So there's definitely something about the new laptop that's causing the data usage to spike I don't use any torrent programs, and haven't been watching youtube videos constantly or trying to stream online, like I said there's been times where I don't even have Google Chrome open and it's using up all my data! I don't use Skype or anything like that either (to be honest I have barely any programs on this new laptop)I've turned off all the automatic updates for as many programs as I think can have them. Ii's definitely improved a bit though, but there are still times (like around an hour ago) that the data usage starts spiking randomly.
I had some issues with network and I thought that reseting the modem might work. So I did it, I pushed the reset button thingy, but now I can't connect wireless. There is no network offered in "Wireless network connections", like the reset deleted it. What can I do about this?
I'm using Cisco 2100 cable modem. It worked fine until some time later where the Data Send & Receive LED's stopped blinking. A man came to check if the cable was the problem by replacing it, but it wasn't. He claims it might be related to the laptop. I have tried several times restarting it. (I'm using mobile broadband) I would really like fast rather than slow internet ( I was limited so now it's slow but free)
I've been having this problem the past 2 days. around 7-7:30pm my motorola sbg6580 will reboot itself every 15m or so the rest of the night.I've checked all my line they are in good condition, I've done the whole pull out all the cords let it sit for 1 minute, I've factory reset it.called the cableone tech support and it even reset while i was on the phone with him. I have a tech coming out tuesday but if it's something i can troubleshoot and fix now i'd rather have that.
Im having problems connecting my broadband to the internet, when I press the "Connect" button here is what pops up;
The modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is not configured properly.I've tried doing;
1. Tried installing the software+driver to other laptops and it works fine.
2. Tried changing different modems and installed the required driver but ends up not able press the "Connect" button at all.
3. Tried Uninstall/Reinstall the software/Driver.
4. Disable/Enable driver from Device Manager.
5. Tried Doing a Recovery system but fortunately the recovery system goes as far back the first time I've tried installing this device.
6. Tried disabling Anti-Virus
7. Tried installing old version of Mobile Partner but it seems like it didnt detect the device and a pop-ups saying "Failed to find Port" when installing Mobile Partner 2.3 .This laptop used this broadband before 1-2 months ago.
Yesterday I had to move the computer desk to paint the wall behind it,which included unplugging the router and modem.There are four computers in the house,three on wireless, and after I hooked everything back up the pc in my room and the hardwired one reconnected to the router and internet just fine.My brother's pc and my laptop though can't seem to connect, they attempt to connect but just say they can't connect.
I work at the Staples Easy Tech center and the resident tech there told me to do an IP flush or some such thing, but my google fuu is weak and this "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew" refuse to do anything without a connection to the network.I proceeded to hardwire my laptop and even then it says no internet connection and doesn't recognize the network. I already power-cycled the router.Maybe power-cycle the modem?Reset mac addresses?
I need to reset my DLink wireless modem all over again, can't get it to recognise the router, so thought that it would need to reset to factory defaut, how can I do this. Tried just hitting reset on the router,but nothing is happening.
Is it possible to pin out a DB37 (RS422) for DB25 (RS232) data port on a Satellite Modem? The question more so is can 232 data be passed through a 422/449 TX/RX Data port to a PC via a satellite modem?

I have a non-descript trendnet 56K v.92 dial up modem installed to pci slot1 on my mobo.The phone company says they can't get a quicker connection than 31.2 Kbps established to dial up users in this area.The real issue is the data transfer rate.I have seen it reach as high as 6.xx Kbps but generally hovers around 2.5 Kbps.Now it is down to 1.xx Kbps and I took the last 48 hours downloading all the updates for windows and several other updates for hard ware etc.Now I need the ATI firepro update and 114 Mb will take over 16 hours at my average speed, and some 32 hours at the new slower speed
I am hard wiring a Netgear wireless modem DG834G to the LAN connection on my PC. The modem lights up, the internet light flashes then goes green and the connection to the PC is lit. My PC wont see the modem - when I type 192.168.0.1 it cannot access the Netgear setup page. I have tried swapping the cable and even bought a PCI Lan card and installed it but the modem wont work in either port? I've had the modem checked out and it works fine it's just something in my PC stopping it from seeing the Modem. At present I have a USB modem hard wired which works fine. I unplug this when trying to setup the NEtgear modem...
I have reset the modem but after resetting it I can't go for internet anymore with computer or wifi . And after that I notice that my wifi is not under any security which is free for all.can I know how to fix this problem ?the main problem is mostly that can't go internet after reset it
I don't think it's my PC, because I tried using the Ethernet cord on my laptop, and got the same error "limited or no connectivity..." When I try to troubleshoot on my PC, it says the modem is fine. All the lights are green on the modem. I did notice that I have an IP address, but no Gateway Address. Also, I'm sending few packets, but receiving even fewer.Is it safe to say that this is a modem issue? Or something else? Is there anything that can be done? -resetting the modem did not work.
My wireless was working but would load some pages super slow and others just fine. I reset my modem and router and now I can wireless connect to the router but get no connection. If I plug my computer directly to the modem I can connect the internet just fine. But if I hook up my router and connect it to my pc through a cable it can't connect just like the wireless.I have a linksys WRT54GSv1 Comcast is my ISP I ran Xirrus connection test and it said DNS Lookup Failure then No IP Availible.This is an ipconfg /all result

I set up an E1200 about two weeks ago to replace our old DI-524 because our net speeds were getting throttled (the old router wouldn't support anything higher than 10mbps). The same day, we started getting modem resets (We have an SB6120). This never happened on the old router but it's constantly happening with this new one. It'll happen multiple times a day. I called Cox Tech Support and they pushed an upgrade onto the modem but it still reset. I don't think it's the router, since I don't understand why it would force the modem to reset, but this never happened before I installed it. The firmware is updated to the latest version on the Cisco site (1.0.02).
I'm am getting a "Could not find DHCP daemon" error in the router log (N300 router), but when I connect my cable modem directly to my computer it gets an IP address just fine so I doubt the problem is with my modem or ISP. I've tried resetting the modem and router multiple times but no luck.
