I will like to access a wan adress we are hosting, from the inside.Is this posible?, but i can't access it. only via our internal adresse (192.168.2.2),it can be done on other modemswith this command "ip nat loopback on"

I sold my router to someone the other day for use on twc after changing isp's. It is a motorola sbg6580. TWC uses these modems all the time and sells them themselves so i figured it would work. Well i got a call from the guy i sold it to saying they cant access the mac adress on it. I know it has 2 of them and I dont know if its their tech guys having problems which is what i thought it was but he wont leave me alone and i used hte modem a week before selling it and straight back to the box so i doubt its the modem itself. He told me though that I needed to have the mac adress unlocked or something from my old isp?

COundt access them but they were still delivering 'wireless' so to speak I have recently put them back to defaults to try and get them back in to CCA. i had one, but not the other. They would work fine via GUI/web access.Then i updated them to 2.0.4 (both images) and since doing that i have no access to either of them via any form.

My staff can log into our marketing software (which will only allow access from my buisnesses IP address) from home. My thoughts were to leave the computer on at work all the time and then use a remote access program like logmein to remotley control that computer however I am then limited by only having one person able to do this at a time. View 3 Replies View RelatedI need to connect from an inside host to a host located in the DMZ zone for DNS queries. The host in the DMZ zone has a static NAT to the outside. The point now is that I would like to connect from inside to the NATed outside address, means to the public Internet address.
Inside host: 10.0.0.1 -> PAT for 10.0.0.0/8 to 20.0.0.254 (Outside Interface)
DMZ host: 192.168.1.1 -> NAT to outside to 20.0.0.1
The traffic should be 10.0.0.1 udp>1024 to 20.0.0.1 udp=53. The source IP address on the outside interface now is 20.0.0.254 (according to the PAT), the destination IP address 20.0.0.1. The DNS reply from 20.0.0.1 should go back now to 20.0.0.254 and then to the inside host 10.0.0.1.
I know that on the PIX it was not possible, to have outgoing traffic on the outside interface which immediately enters again the same interface. Can I realize this scenario with the ASA 8.4(3) release now?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have a three tier network with a centralized core switch and multitple distirbution swithces - all 6506 routers.EAch dist switch is its own PIM SM domain and the RP so we never send multicast between the dist switches and through the core.
We are putting in a centralized server at the core switch which has to provide specific mcast < X Groups > to all servers at the dist level on all dist switches.
So we would like to define the RP <core rp ip> just for the <X groups> on the Core switch and tell all the distribution switch that the core is the RP for just the <XGroups>
If we put these commands on all the switches including the cores will that set the rp just fo the <XGroups> to the <core rp ip > ?Do I have to define the deine an ACL for all groups if i define it for some or will groups not defined by the ACL defualt to the local RP?
do I have to put in the override command ? (We are using MSDP not autorp)

I enter the IP address into the url field and hit enter. Several seconds pass by.. Then I get this message: "The connection has timed out." and nothing happens.

The only way it works is if I add the internal IP address of the server to the Forwarding section where I create a new HTTP forwarding rule.However, that is not good because that allows ALL HTTP traffic to that server instead of just by the single IP address.
