View 4 RepliesI updated my firmware to the latest update a and then restored My personnel setting and now I can not access my ftp, I checked my IP address to make sure it didn't change , setting looks like did before update I went from firmware 121 to 135, was there new setting that I have to change to get it to work. I get no log in screen I get Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you typed the file name correctly and that you have permission to access the folder?

Ok so for many days I did manage to access the IP address for a livestream, and to go into the advanced setup of the camera. Suddenly, it stops working. i can't access it. What happened?

When I checked the vendor for this MAC, it shows Lexmark international inc, which fact make me feel something is wrong. My first thought was that somebody trying to break into my net but I am close to accept that the owner of Lexmark WiFi printer without an idea in networking, just tried to connect it to his network and after failing to do that, it's wired and wireless features are still on. But still could this be bug or something? I am posting some logs when I first discovered the problem and after I granted access to the device with the MAC address 0020008E971E. I forgot to tell you, that before I decided to post here I did firmware upgrade from Hardware version A3 1.10 to 1.35NA (I bought it from US) with factory default restore. The result was absolutely the same - the messages kept coming "Access denied to wireless system with MAC address 0020008E971E". So I granted access to that MAC and checked the logs again. I have a tplink mr-3040 modem to use as repeater for my travels in hotels and after 2 monts I was not able to make it to work any time.Whenever I try with WEP, WPA or OPEN - like today - it's always the same problem: I can see repeated network with strong signal, but when I want to connect using laptop or phone connection stop on level of "getting IP address" and never end with final time-out.
I've recently noticed an issue with the D600. A few days ago, I could not get any IP address from the router (wireless connection) on one of my laptops. I checked the router and it did something never done before: It restarted automatically (orange lights). Everything seemed to work fine but now when one of my device connects to the network (ps3, iPhone, laptops...) no IP address is given by the router so everything is on limited connectivity which is really annoying. I have to turn it off/on to make it work. It happens most of the time.
Note that I already returned the router a couple a year ago or so (I cant recall what was the issue), so I have to say that the quality of this device is far behind my expectations.
I recently switched routers to the DIR-615 and I'm trying to troubleshoot why one of our laptops keeps losing the IP address and gets a self-assigned IP address. I see the following messages in the log, I am wondering if the reason codes are listed and explained somewhere? I tried searching the manual but could not find any information.

I'm having a problem where my dir655 updates the wrong ip adress to dyndns server. It always report 255.255.255.255. The dyndns information is all entered correctly and says "connected" in the dyndns configuration. So what is wrong with the adress update from the dir-655 to the dyndns server ? Of course I cannot use my dyndns adress since it is always at the wrong adress.

I have to clone my MAC address of the router to share my internet. To do that i have to visit htt://192.168.1.1 , but that address doesn't work for me..
My old modem from Roadrunner (Time Warner) died and the service man replaced it with a Arris TG852 modem/router. then my problems began. I would like to have the Arris modem act like a modem and not a router. The network governed by the DIR works fine but none of the clients can connect to the internet. Below are the steps I have tried.in both steps below, The DIR is connected to the Arris using the Ethernet not the Wan port.
1. I tried disabling DHCP on the Arris router and setting a static IP address for the DIR router. This worked for a bit and then quit. Some of the computers said there were duplicate IP addresses on the network. If fact the same IP address showed up in the DNS list of the Arris and the DIR routers.. even though the Arris router had DNS disabled.
2. After reading other forums. I enabled DHCP on the Arris and set it to passout IP address between 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.99. I then setup the DOR to pass out addresses between 192.168.0.100 and 192.168.0.200. then moved the DIR into the DMZ of the Arris. Still no access to the internet.
Is there anyway to force the xbox inside the router to grab the same ip address everytime it comes on? Other than changing it on the console via a static ip? Xboxs dont like static Ip address and its getting annoying?

As stated in the guide, I've been changing the IP address of the TP-Link router to a new address that lies outwith the pool of available DHCP addresses in my combined modem/router but with less than resounding success. After rebooting the TP-Link router, I am unable to access the set-up interface - the newly allocated IP address doesn't work, neither does the original IP address work. What is happening here? If I change the IP address to one that lies within the DHCP pool and reboot, I can access it ok with the new address. However, that obviously clashes with the set-up instructions.

It works fine, but I can no longer log on to the unit using its' IP address 192.168.1.1. The browser returns the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." If I want to tweak the settings the only thing I can think to do is to push the reset plug, back to factory settings and go through the whole process. Is there a way to discover the new IP address of the reconfigured router? I left the default address as it was when I made the changes to AP status.

I set the access point to act as a repeater and entered the mac address from the router (It said to use the lan mac address. is that right?). I have them set on same subnet with static ip addresses. They have same wireless ssid and password with one using channel 10 and the other using channel 2. I can receive an ip address from the router and connect to internet. I cannot get an ip address from the access point. I tried a static ip on the computer and it will connect, but I don't have internet. Am I missing something in the setup? Can this access point act as a repeater for this router?
