Cisco :: AP1240 / Clients Cannot Connect To Access Point

I have a AP1240 Cisco IOS Software, C1240 Software (C1240-K9W7-M), Version 12.4(10b)JDA3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1), and want to configuration WPA2 without using Radius.But my clients can not connecto to AP. On AP always display messages "%DOT11-7-AUTH_FAILED: Station 0026.6609.e55d Authentication failed"

I have a Cisco 870 integrated service router and 3 Cisco Aeronet 1180 Access Points.I have configured the router to act as a DHCP server. with all four /26 subnets in a seperate address pool.the first one is for the routers wireless interface and works fine.but the other 3 are for each of the wireless access points, that are used for internet access, but have to operate independently (i.e. the clients on each must not be able to access anything other than the devices associated with that access point and the internet.
The problem I are having is that the router doesnt distribute DHCP information via the access points so the clients on all the access points are not recieving any internet connection at all, but are connecting to the access points, and the LED for the access points suggest that they are connected t the router, the router accnowledges their existence but is not transmitting through the fast ethernet switch ports. but is communicating with a wired printer that is associated with the wireless vlan.
Each access point is on its own vlan, and the switchport access vlan command has been used. only the five static addresses have been excluded from the address pool. the router, the three access points and the printer adresses are static. the printer is working despite being the only device on the /24 network all other addresses are on the /26 networks. this to my knowledge shouldent work but it does, which is handy because the printer software doent support subnetting.The simulation I have ran say that only the printer shouldent work, but its the access points that are not working how they should. I have studied the configuration of the router and access points, and came up empty on why they are not recieving DHCP information.
I are not even able to telnet to them, despite having an address setup. I have not set up a routing protool on the router due to it being the only router. I have checked the interfaces fa0 to fa3 and they are line up protocol up, the wireless is line up protcol up, the vlans are line up protocol down, except the one asociated with the wireless which is line up protocol up (I believe the protocol only goes up when a device is connected to it).

We are about to upgrade our training facilities wireless and i have a few questions regarding the number of active clients we should target our design for.
We would be using 1142 and 3502I access points. I was thinking that based on the belo we'd be able to support around 30-40 clients per AP.

How do I connect and configure my WAP54G wireless access point to my new Cable Modem? I have it connected to the modem but I cannot access it to configure it. It appears to be working but before I got the cable modem I had it connected to a router and it was set-up with a static IP address. With my new ISP, I no longer have a static IP address so I am trying to configure the WAP54G to use DHCP. Trying to access it thru the internet at 192.168.1.245 does not work.

I've got a AP WAP54G. I've managed to get into the configuration page and rename my router and set a WPA2-Personl password.
The issue I'm facing is that when me and my roomate try to connect to the router at the same time, it shows the laptop that connects second as one that has 'limited connectivity' and hence cannot use the internet. The 1st laptop however works fine!
The settings for the router have all been left to default.
I'm not sure, but does this problem have anything to do with the fact that the router in configured with a static IP. If so, then there is another issure which is that whenever I try to change it from static to automatic/dynamic IP, the page fails and the router doesn't even get connected to the configuraion page(192.168.1.245) after that. The only way to get that page again is the reset the router.
Also I'm not able to directly get into the config page when I connect my router to my laptop via lan. I need to change the LAN IP to 192.168.1.x where x is >1.

I'm using a WRT120N and have had no problems connecting most wireless devices, but a Nintendo DS and DSi owned by my family are unable to connect to the access point. My wireless security mode is disabled, network mode is set to mixed, SSID is the same as on the DS/DSi, Channel width is 20Mhz only, Standard channel is set to 6, but I tried using channel 1 and 11 without success, SSID broadcast is enabled.
I've tried every work-about I could find and always get the 51300 error code, and am at a loss as to what else I can try to get the devices to connect to the access point.

We have recently been given this unusual task. The setup is a series of CAP3502P access points, and a wireless controller (either 2500 Series or 5500 Series), as well as other standard network infrastructure.
In this network, the client (mobile/wireless) devices must be able to detect when they change what access point they are communicating through, while also requiring a seamless transition. Ie, if the client device is communicating via access point A, and displaying the application menus for A, when the user walks to the area services by access point B, it must detect that sot he application can display menus for B, without the user having to select "B".
Is there a way for the client device to detect which access point it is using and provide that to an application? Or alternatively a way for a host service residing on a server to get that information from the wireless controller?

AP has static IP with 2 SSIDs setup, one for guest one for domain access(both have the same issue), tried with multiple devices, both win and MAC, all show "connected but with limited access", ipconfig on those devices, all show ip "169.254.X.X", but event log on AP indicates that "authentication has been completed sucessfully".
using RADIUS server for authentication. management VLAN ID "1", SSID VLAN ID "11"

How would I bridge a wireless connection with a distance of 400 feet? Would twoAP1262N-A-K9 be able to make this happen? Or is there another wireless bridge that you all can think of?I would be connecting one AP1262 of off a 3750g switch and at the far end (400 ft aproximately) another AP1262N-A-K9.

I just bought an LG Bluray DVD player (BD390) which is unable to find the access point in my home network.My router is a WRT54G, ver. 2.2, running firmware: Ver.4.21.1. My home network uses high speed cable with two computers on the wireless network, all working with no problems.The router is on the second floor but the two computers and the new BD390 are on the first floor - about 35 feet away. I have the wirelss security set to none and use only the specific computer MAC addresses to allow connection to this network.
I found directions in the forum for a setup using the LG BD390 but with a different Linksys router. I changed the security to WPA (AES); the Beacon interval from 100 to 75; the Fragmentation Threshold from 2346 to 2304; and the RTS Threshold from 2347 to 2307. The DVD wireless connection still failed to find my network. There is a "Push button" connection feature on the BD390 setup which I tried, but the only "button" on the router I could find was in the basic wireless setting, a green icon for the wireless SSID setup. No connection was made there either.
The recommendation connection from the LG manual is for a network cable, but that would be over 50 feet and a real pain to connect, so I would prefer WiFi.

Using a Cisco router as an access point on a separate floor. Was connected and doing work on my laptop when the connection drops. It now says that I am unable to connect to that access point, I am still able to connect to all other wifi signals available. My phone and tablet can still connect to that access point without any problem, but no go for my laptop. Wired connection works on laptop, but for wifi it just keeps saying Windows was unable to connect.

Am trying to connect 3 pcs connected to a Dlink 8 port switch through a Dlink WL2100 Access point connected as an AP Client to the main network. Only 1 pc is able to see the main network and am having none of the other 2pcs are able to see the main network. The 3 pcs are able to see each other.

I currently have a network setup like this:
Route 1 --> Switch --> Access Points ---> Router2 connected to one of the access point
So pretty much I'm trying to create a wireless network for a temple. I set up a network with several access points as above. However, they wanted a network for the office separate from the rest of the temple. So I decided to setup Router2 and connect it to one of the LAN ports of an access point.
However, this seems messing up the whole network. People can connect to the access points but they won't have access to the Internet. Also, if I connect my laptop to the office network, I wouldn't see the gateway as 192.168.1.1, which was set for Router2. Instead, I always saw the IP address of Router1 as the gateway.

I recently switched from DSL to cable. No issues on DSL. Since switching to cable, I haven't been able to connect more than one computer to the wireless access point at one time. I have three computers, one running W7, one on xp, and one on Vista. All three of the computers have been able to connect to the WAP when connecting alone.I am using a wap54g linksys access point. I want to configure and WAP610N to work as an Access Point (it was configured by previous administrator some time ago): free hotspot open, LAN secured by password. What makes my last 2 days horrible is that I can't even get access to Administration Panel. Used Cisco Online Support Articles, used User Manual, tried many ways to connect without luck.First of all I've connected LAN cable directly from PC to AP and Windows stuck at "Identyfying State", after some hours "arp -a" command shows me only IP's of my LAN, no MAC of the AP.Tried to reset settings to the factory default - when on push for 30 seconds reset button, power diode blinks, ap starts and settings are the same - still connects to the company's LAN.Wireless networks is default 'linksys' without password I can connect to it and get the internet, after pushing fast connection button it changes to secured "Linksys-<some letters and numbers>" to which I can't connect.I can't even get IP on wired and wireless connection - DHCP don't work? I don't know what IP to set manually. How can I get access to Administration Panel? How to reset this thing?
