Cisco :: Change Web Interface Ip Of NCS 1.1.1.24 Server
Sep 10, 2012
I have configured the NCS 1.1.1.24 and its running fine, but i used the IP address 10.18.20.7(it was the WCS server), but now I want to use 10.18. 20. 8 (NCS Server) ip address.
so what should i do to change the ip address: I know only 1 thing that is, change the ip of the interface gig 0 .My main task is to run WCS and NCS parallal.
I currently have an out of the box ASA5505 and need to change the internal interfact from 192.168.1.1 to 10.20.3.1 so it fits in with the rest of the network.Tried using the ASDM Startup wizard (via 192.168.1.1) and it just seems to hang on "delivering the commands to the device".
We have two ASA5510's, running IOS ver. 8.2(4). We setup Load Balancing on two ASA's. Will there be any problems if we change the IP address of the outside interface on one of the ASA's?
I ran into a strange problem. When I want to change the ethernet0 interface of a Cisco 828 sdsl router, but there is no command to do that in the interface configuration mode (speed 100 and duplex full). A show interface gives 10MB half duplex and I want to change this.
This is the running config (a little censored): ! ! interface Ethernet0
After my dir-655 recently bought the farm, I picked up a NIB 601 at a local computer mall for about $20. The drawback is that "local" for me means that the router is in Chinese.
Is there any way for the web interface language to be changed to English?
I have a Cisco 5510 which has remote access VPN configured. Now I have new block of IP address, is there a way I can just change the outside interface IP so that people can remote in without doing anythng else?Or if I coulds be taught to create a new one.Or best way to approcah this issue? For example: it was 67.64.x.x now I need to change to 64.44.x.x.
we have two Cisco ASA 5510 in failover configuration. We tried to change the public IP address on the Outside interface of the primary device but it didn't works. The new IP is not reachable from Internet nor pingable from device on the same LAN.The new IP address is in the same subnet of the old IP.
From the switch on which the ASA is connected and from another Cisco PIX we can see the ARP entry. In the analysis, on the old public IP address there was a VPN site-to-site and Webvpn defined. We tried also to shut/no shut the interface and reboot the device.
We've recently shut down an interface on one of our ASA 5510s as we no longer use that service provider. The dashboard, however, still insists on showing traffic usage on this interface. How do I change the dashboard to display a more meaningful interface?
We've been trying to monitor the used bandwidth of our SGE2000 and SGE2010 switches with Nagios. We've been experimenting with the various OIDs and we've found the OIDs linked to the different switchports.
Though when we use SNMPWalk (to find the OIDs connected to the port) the names of the ports are all the same.
[code]....
Is there a way to change the names of these interface to unique names? We've already given unique names in the description field through the switch's GUI, but it doesn't make any difference for Nagios.

I planned for my customer to replace his old LMS 4.0.1 server under Windows 2003 by a new server under Windows 2008 R2.Customer wants also to set a new LMS name and IP address for the new server under Windows 2008 R2 and keep both servers on the network.I'm wondering what could be the best procedure to do that migration. Can I used backup / restore procedure in that case ?If yes, what file must I modify to adapt the new LMS configuration to new hostname and IP Address ?
I am switching a switch connecting to the ASA5550 tomorrow. My current switch is using fiber connecting to the ASA. The new one only support copper. If I switch between fiber to copper on the ASA (change media-type command on interface) will it cause a down time? I have VPN tunnel on the ASA and don't want the session to reset.
I'm trying to change the IP address of the smtp server on cisco LMS 3.2.1;I have changed the IP on the GUi and when it didn't work, in the regdaemon. xml file, but it did not work too;When I capture packets from the LMS, it still sends emails to the old IP;
I have a srp521 and want to set it up as a vpn server so I can connect back from outside. On the router under the vpn tab I only have
Site to site IPSec VPN IKE Policy IPSecPolicy GRETunnel VPN Passthrough
Page 191 of the srp500 manual says Click VPN > Cisco VPN Server > Group. The Group window opens The manual also says only the serer or Site to site will work at one time, so where do I make the change to bring up the vpn server option?
I rdp into our server 2008 via IP. This is a router on ip 0.1, this is forwarded to my server on IP 0.3. This server was setup with DHCP default gateway of 0.1. We added a new outside connection on IP 0.2. I was talked through the changes so that internal DHCP requests went to gateway IP 0.2 but RDP still used 0.1. I plan on getting rid of 0.1.Where is the setting to change the RDP to use default gateway of 0.2?
I can't change my DNS servers. I went to my Network Settings and changed the settings for my DSL adapter. I manually changed the DNS servers to OpenDNS's servers, but when I looked again, the settings always change back to the localhost, 127.0.0.1. I tried to reset my DSL but still no luck.
we are running LMS 4.0 on Windows Server 2008, and just changed the hostname of the server, as the former on reflected it being a test system. However, after rebooting the server (as required by windows), the LMS application did not launch. After rolling the windows server back to the old hostname, the LMS started working again. Why is this? Isnt it possible to change the server hostname after the LMS has been set up for the first time?
I have two 5500-controllers and one WCS-server. Now I will have to move the WCS-server to another subnet and change the IP, but it will keep the name. Will that effect the connection between the controllers and the WCS?Do I have the change anything in the configuration on the controllers or the WCS-server?
i see there is an option to "allow password change" or "force password change" for guest roles in the NGS. But when i created a guest account using this guest role, after webauthentication , there is no prompt to change password. Is this the intended behaviour or is there anything else that i need to configure. Looking at it, i am not sure how the NGS would allow a "guest user" to really overwrite the password by allowing password change. ? is that not a security risk as well for the NGS ? my setup has 5508 anchor controller and NGS communicating via RADIUS.
We have a number of 5505 ASAs at remote sites all of which are configured to connect to one of two head-end servers. We need to change the primary head-end IP addresses. At the moment devices are successfully connected to the secondary. If we issue vpnclient server i.j.k.l e.f.g.h then the device drops off the network and won't reconnect until it is power cycled. If we make the changes in ASDM using the GUI to remove the old primary and add in the new primary the ASDM says "No changes made".Devices are running 8.2 and 8.4 code and behaviour is the same.
how to change head-end server IP addresses without the device disconnecting and not coming back up? According to the configuration guide the ASA should cycle through the addresses every 8 seconds until it can connect - but it doesn't seem to do this as it won't connect to the good secondary head-end either!
It works fine on both my pc and wifi laptop, provided I give a fixed DNS server that was entered by my internet provider. My IP address is set to 'obtain IP address automatically' but my DNS is set to a preferred DNS by the provider. I have to set this on my notebook as well in order to access internet. If I set it to obtain DNS server automatically, internet stops working on that machine.roblem is when I try to access internet through my phone it does not work, because I have no option to enter a DNS server there. Internet works fine on my phone using another wifi router where the obtain dns address automatically is enabled.

Lately, Ive been trying to change my router DNS to OpenDNS. Somehow, after changing it, I couldnt access the router page at 192.168.0.1, getting the error 500 message. I unplugged and plugged the router with no effect. Im using a dlinkddns.com dynamic IP, and have a few ports forwarded for my DVR. The router model is DIR 615. want to change the DNs for speed and filtering purposes.
One of the companies I work for uses a DIR 655 router. I'm having some trouble using FTP there.Initially the problem was that FTP software would hang or give errors when trying to change directories on the remote server. This problem went away when I switched from passive FTP to Active FTP.Now using Active FTP, the files appear to be uploaded with no problem. However, on closer inspection, the uploaded file has 0 bytes on the remote server.
We are uploading from a Windows 7 machine and uploading to our Web Hosting Company's Windows Server. I've actually written the one piece of software that is showing this problem but it uses a widely known open-source FTP library written in .NET. I've never encountered either of these problems with my software until I encountered the DIR-655.The other FTP software client I've tried is FileZilla. It has the same problem, 0 bytes files when using Active FTP.
One solution I've seen on DSLReports was to disable the Stateful Packet Inspection part of the firewall (known as SPI). This is really not a good solution for two reasons. Number one, I do not have access to the router's firmware/ configuration. Number 2, the company has a DIR-655 because they want the additional security. If we're going to disable SPI it just defeats one of the major purposes of owning the DIR-655.
