View 3 RepliesI'm trying to upgrade NBAR protocol pack on my Cisco 1941 router, so i downloaded new NABR protocol pack (version 4.0.0) and transferred it into router flash via tftp. When i try to apply new protocol pack with command : ip nbar protocol-pack flash:[protocol-pack-name]
i got this error :
% NBAR Error : Advanced Protocol Pack can not be loaded on top of Standard Protocol Pack
The router is running IPBASE IOS with Security License, IOS image is c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.153-1.T.bin. Does NBAR2 packages works on IO BASE images?
I have a question if your Cisco 800 series wireless in a rack mount installation in racks to place the signal strength materials very well ?
View 0 Replies View RelatedI am considering running stacked 3750 L3 switches as the edge of the network, which will connect to the ISP. The ISP would hand off two lines with one to each switch and two lines to each client zone. Does running HSRP, running port channels, or running routing protocols seem like the best option for redundancy?
Lastly, will the 3750 provide all the QoS I should need for restricting each client zone's bandwidth both up and down? Could I get away with a lower model and still get these features?
Any recommendations for top of rack switch for within our data centre.Dual power is a requirement, but bandwidth and through put will not be huge as such I have been looking atthe WS-C3560X-48T-L and the Nexus 3048.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI wanted to know if any has the Nexus 7009 chassis installed into a 600 wide rack with the sides fitted and if they are experiencing heat issues?
My client will be replacing their aging 6509 chassis with 7009 devices, but the physicals dont tally with the install guidelines for the 7009 series chassis. The current install of the 6509s does not tally with the recommended install guidelines for those either, but they have not expereienced any heat issues...
The 7009 will be fitted with 2xSUP2E, 3x48portSFP-F2E cards and 2x10GSFP-M2 cards with 2x6K PSUs. I am genuinely concerned they may cook these devices, but space restrictions look like vetoing the upgrade to 800 wide racks. Likewise moving to 7010 chassis may prove tricky due to existing other installs within the racks limiting vertical space.
I'm a beginner on networking, and now i've found a problem while i do an exercise.i have one pc connected at one allied telesys but the last one is a trasparent bridge...the AT is connected whit a fortigate the fortigate does nat..and is connected whit the modem.i can go on server, modem receive ping from pc..is everything right..settings.

1, If I want to use IPSec VPN connect branch and main office, apart from the router, I only need to buy the Security pack, like SL-19-SEC-K9/SL-29-SEC-K9, no need to buy SL-19-DATA-K9/SL-29-DATA-K9, am I right?
2, If I want to use SSL VPN connect branch and main office, apart from the router and SL-19-SEC-K9/SL-29-SEC-K9, I only need to buy L-FL-SSLVPN10-K9 for CISCO2911 in main office, no need to buy L-FL-SSLVPN10-K9 for branch as each CISCO1921 has two default SSL license?
Need to deploy ms office compatibility pack via a gpo to a network I work on. I've extracted the exe and have the msi and cab files which I've placed in a network share and given full control permissions to everyone (I did this after it not working a few times with modify), everyone has full control on the 2 files as well.
I've created a new gpo "software deploy" under computer configuration, software, I've assigned a new package and typed the path in the following format \servershareo12.msi. I've moved a test pc into a test ou in ad and back in group policy management I've linked the software deploy gpo to this test ou. I've ran gpupdate /force on both ends.I've restarted the test box, nothing, repeatedly, I even edited the gpo to deploy the software under user and moved a test user into this test ou, same thing, nothing. I then went back to the config above using the computer config instead of user.

I have two 3550s and two 2950s. I would like to put these on a rack. Where can I buy a rack? I can't seem to find them on new egg because I'm not sure what the steel frame part is called. And how can I get the steel holders that go on the sides of the Cisco devices to screw them onto the rack?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSG 300-10 user manual states to not mount the switch on either side (I'm assuming this means the right or left ends as you face the front) and that they can be mounted either face-up or face down or flat). The specs further say that a 5" space must be "around all sides" of the unit. Silly question is what does "all sides of the unit' really mean? (of course given you must mount is somewhere). Also, given the little feet supplied with the unit, it is implicit to me the bottom needs to be only about 1/32" from the horizontal surface it is placed on. If this is true, can this unit be mounted face down on a shelf such as the Leviton 47612-UBK (it's allowing the mounted units to have airflow between the unit and the cabinet back) and have a second SG 300-10 mounted in front of the first that is seperated from the first by either the dual feet or use separation spacers that will fill the available shelf space and maximize the distance between the units - all without degrading the inherent reliability of either?
Lastly, The two SG 300-10's are reaching the internet through a LINKSYS E4200 router. Is it better to have each SG 300-10 occupying its own dedicated port on the router OR to cascade one SG 300-10 to the other SG 300-10 then one of the LINKSYS E4200 router? If the answer is each occupying their own dedicated LINKSYS port, then would it be prudent to load one SG 300-10 with the most active ethernet lines to allow the other SG 300's port power management to shut it down?
if the mounting bracket for 3600 AP is the same as the 3500/1140/1040 mounting bracket? I'm suspecting it's not as you can get modules that fit onto the back of the 3600 APs.

Historically I have been installing and maintaining access points in the 1200 range, the latest being the 1242. All these have a similar antenna setup based on diversity pairs.Since Cisco seems to be dropping the old series any week now I have been looking at the 2602 as a replacement.I can find no good documentation on antenna selection and mounting suggestions for these. If I want a proper omni coverage pattern with dual band antennas, do I just set them to a H form assuming the unit is sitting on a wall?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the 2509-RJ Access Server installed and am able to access it via telnet within my home network. However, when I try to access it remotely, it fails each time I try. I set up a domain through dyndns.org specifically for the rack, the same thing I use for RDP to access my home computer remotely. RDP uses port 3389, which I opened up in the firewall and directed that port to my computer's internet IP. I tried opening up port 23 for telnet acccess to the IP address of the access server, 192.168.1.150. I believe the problem is with the dyndns.org domain I set up. The one I use for RDP has my public IP address attached to it. I tried doing the same thing for port 23 and routing that to the access server and it fails.

I've got a number of 3502i's that I need to mount in a new classroom that does not have any ceiling (except the floor decking above). Ceiling is roughly 30-50' up. Contractors are going to run several 2" (or whatever we want) metal pipes from the ceiling down to a more reasonable level to mount the access points on and get below the hvac ducts/etc in the ceiling.
Problem is I can't find any bracket or mounting options for this! What are others using in this situation for mounting one of these access points onto a metal pipe such as this? I've checked Oberon Wireless, Terrawave and I don't see anything glancing through the product catalogs. Anyone mounting access points this way?
