Cisco WAN :: 1841 / All Sessions Simultaneously Fail EIGRP And Restored Within Seconds
Nov 18, 2012
currently on my Cisco 1841 router I have configured EIGRP protocol, my problem is that all sessions simultaneously fail EIGRP and restored within seconds, all come from different sources. The IOS version is 12.4 (25g).
we are facing issue for unstability of EIGRP neighbor with ISP router. Both router are connected via 3750 switch. There is no misconfiguration or physical media issue.I found the SDM template on the middle switch is desktop default, does this will impact ? [code]
We have two Cisco 2960 TT-L switches. I'd like to reduce single points of failure and have dual servers for most tasks. For example, two firewall servers and two web servers. Should one server fail the other will act as a failover.I'd like to extend the redundancy to the switches, and am thinking of connecting one web server to one switch, and one to the other. In the event a switch failed a set of servers would still run, and be able to talk to each other.I'd like to run two VLANs, one for the LAN, and one of the WAN, and connect the two VLANs on each of the switches with the associated VLAN on the other switch.
A couple of weeks ago, one of our ASA 5505s failed, and Cisco TAC shipped out a replacement. I was on vacation, and my assistant worked with TAC to get our backed-up configuration restored to the new hardware. This backup was just a copy & paste of the "show start," rather than an export done from ASDM. Anyway, since I got back on vacation I was able to iron out all the wrinkles from the configuration restore, except one. The remote access VPN isn't quite working. This VPN is only used in emergencies, when I can't access that branch office's network via our WAN. Â What's happening is that clients are getting "authentication failed" messages when connecting. On Windows, it's an error 691. The VPN is set to authentication against RADIUS (Microsoft IAS server). The IAS server reports that the connection and authentication is successful. AAA RADIUS authentication tests on the ASA succeed, as do authentication & authorization LDAP tests. Basically, everything was working fine before we swapped in the new hardware, and I've gone over the configuration with a fine-toothed comb to ensure nothing's changed -- but clearly, I'm missing something. The new ASA is otherwise operating perfectly.
I just restored my computer (Windows XP) to factory settings and it won't connect to the internet. I'm running an ethernet connection. I tried to look up a solution online but nothing has worked. Also, Im sure its not an issue with the modem, because all the other computers in the office are connecting to the internet just fine. It's only this one computer?
I'm only able to restore my settings from a backup taken in July 2011. Any backups that I take, say today for example, won't restore. Any attempts to restore them is returned with "The restored configuration file has been uploaded in failure." I haven't changed my router. The firmware remains the same. I'm using Firefox, though I believe I've always used Firefox to interface with the router.Â

A few hours ago, I just restored my laptop to factory settings. Once it was done, I tried connecting to the internet but the computer could not detect ANY wireless networks!I already know it is not the modem or router because I have a Macbook Pro and two HP laptops that connect perfectly fine to the modem. I also made sure the wireless is on. The laptop with the problem is a Toshiba Satellite l645. It's running on a 64-bit Windows 7. When I try to look up wireless networks, it only shows 'MOBILE BROADBAND CONNECTION".

I have been using my ACER tablet with my Netgear router for several months with no problems at all. Then last night I decided to restore my tablet to its default settings, meaning that all my programs, apps, files, etc., were erased. Then I rebooted my tablet and started from scratch, entering the requested information. Everything appeared to be going just fine until I turned on Wi-Fi and attempted to connect to my network (Secured with WPA2), which was available and showed Good signal strength. I clicked on it, then attempted to enter my password. As soon as I entered the first digit of my password, the option to Connect to the Internet immediately disappeared, becoming greyed-out. Repeated attempts to connect failed for the same reason.
I called ACER Level 2 Support and tried a couple of procedures which didn't solve the problem. One was pushing the Reset Button twice. The technician told me that I may have a problem with my router settings. He suggested that I go to a local fast food outlet and see if I could connect there. I went to McDonald's and was able to get on the Net without using a password. I returned home and tried again to connect, but still was unable to enter my password.
Would it make sense for me to completely disconnect my router from everything, then reconnect and go through that set-up process all over again? I guess I would have to change my User Name & Password, or whatever is required. Also, if I go this route, should I change my security setting from WPA2 to a different option -- WEP, for example? I just don't want to foul things up to the point where my laptop wouldn't work. I doubt that would happen. I recently received the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade which has been working satisfactorily; however, it does mean that I'm now attempting to start over from scratch with a different operating system.
I restored the HA pair back to Active/Standby. Â 1 remaining issue. Â I have 3 IPsec Site-to_SIte tunnels. Â I noticed that when the NEW UNIT becomes ACTIVE that I am unable to pass traffic over the VPN tunnels. When I failback I am able to pass traffic.
I've bought the EA4500 and configured it to connect to internet. it works fine.however, one day after it, it can't connect to the internet anymore. I go to the router setup page and try to manually connect it to the internet, but it keeps "connecting." I then restore to its factory configuration, then do the configuration again and it can successfully connect to the internet.however, one day after it, again, it can't connect to the internet anymore.
I have a local wired network without the internet connectivity. It is just 3 computers connected to a router with hard wire (Not connected to outside world). For Internet I use Xfinity Wifi and connect wirelessly. However As soon as I connect the wire to the laptop the internet connectivity is lost.It says access is local only.I have no idea why it is going to the gateway after Xfinity wifi.If I disconnect the wire the internet is connected immediately. However I want to be able to see the web as well as other computers on my local network simultaneously. I tried to google several sites but could not find anyone with a similar setup (One without outside connection and one with internet connectivity)
will the use of mobile wireless internet connection and broadband inet connection simultaneously can be used to download softwares or video files faster than these two used seperately?
We suffer some problems with our remote 2811, that has two WAN links (two different ISP) - we cannot get access to both of WAN at the same time.  At first, the aim was to load balance the traffic between wan links: at first we tried to use OER, but users complained about instable internet connectionthen we tried PBR + NAT Generelly we have just the same scheme as [URL] : dual WAN linksPPTPPPPoE over ADSLequal static routesNAT using route map The problem itself: When both links are up, the 1st WAN is pingable, and the 2nd is notWhen the 1st link goes down the 2nd becomes pingable and accessible and vice versa. When I disabled the CEF, the 1st was still pingable and the 2nd became pingable too, but very unstableÂ
I am running windows xp on an old desktop, I am using a wiresless usb adapter to utilize a wifi connection available in the dorms. to connect, i have to enable proxy on the browser I am also using an Ethernet connection via a LAN cable, which does not need a proxy to run
The issue is that although i browse freely using both connections simultaneously by using two different browsers, with the proxy setting enabled in one and disabled in the other, i can not run uTorrent when both connections are enabled. i have to go into network neighbourhood and disable the wifi connection, and only then does downloading start. the university does not allow bit-torrent downloading on the wifi connection so i have to use the ethernet.
situation is a little bit different than the other gyus. I have a private network of 3 laptops connected with wire to a local router (Not connected to the internet)Whenever I need internet I connect to Xfinity Wan Wirelessly. However in order to do that I have to disconnect wire first. Otherwise both connections show "Local only" The moment I disconnect the wire the Xfinity connection shows "Local and Internet" How can I access Xfinity and my wired laptops simultaneously
Can i run both 2.4 and 5ghz at the same time? so my N user's can connect at 300Mpbs on the 5ghz bonded, and my G users can connect to 54Mbps?Also i ask because of coverage, my 5ghz does not cover as far as the 2.4 so those at the extremity's could at least get G with a good signal?
It started happening back in around November, my sister and my computer would start freezing occasionally, slurring the audio into a robotic sound, eventually to come to.It gradually got worse, and I assumed it was a graphics card problem since it would freeze ONLY SOMETIMES and say that the graphics driver stopped working and has recovered. It usually didn't say that, though.Lately though, I noticed that when it would freeze sometimes the internet would go out for some connected devices, such as the Xbox 360. The only computer that was NEVER affected by this is the one connected directly by Ethernet to the Netgear router, (every other device is WiFi.)
Sometimes even, my sister and mine would freeze simultaneously. It was a sort of rare occurrence, though.I very lately started to notice that it would freeze when trying to load internet components with larger amounts of data, such as server console logs, Flash videos, and Soundcloud players. What threw me off is that it would sometimes freeze in programs like FL Studio or Windows Media Player... It's possible I guess that the programs were unrelated and what caused the freeze is SOMETHING sending/receiving corrupt packets.
I am running Ubuntu 10.10 on a Dell Inspiron 6400.I am able to get 10/100 Ethernet card and Wireless Lan working independently. If I restart/reboot my eth0 turns starts up fine.If I then manually start my wireless connection (eth1), eth0 disappears.
There seems to be issues with wireless drivers: I don't have the cleanest solution but I run this script: [code]
Is there any way I can have them running simultaneously? From reading around I believe it's possible but not quite sure what I'm doing wrong.
I'd like to use 2 internet connections at the same time.Assuming there are two internet networks.Network A and Network B (both are either wireless OR one is wireless and one is wired OR both are wireless). So, now I want to use BOTH internet connections simultaneously. However, both connections will still be separate and not combined:If I had to transfer big files, then I could do this on network A.Now, I want to use network B for other "normal" internet use so that the transfer of files in network A gets the maximum speed since there is no interference with anything else.I have to let the computer know somehow that there are two connections used simultaneously. I also have to setup what programs use what connection. E.g., IE uses network a and Firefox uses network b, program "x" also uses network b, etc.I would use two network card/USB Wifi Adapers so that each network card/wifi adapter can connect to one network.
I have 300Mbps PCI wireless LAN network card which I installed in my PC and until today I was connected to my Sky router wirelessly. I also have a wireless Brother all in one connected to the same PCI card.
The engineer who installed my Sky fibre broadband told me in order to achieve maximum speeds I should connect via an ethernet cable to my Sky router as wireless could be a lot slower so I bought one and connected up and disabled the wirelss card. All good so far until I noticed my Brother all in one was complaining about no network ID.
My problem is that I can't seem to run my printer wirelessly as well as run my broadband wired. If I enable the wireless adapter the printer works but my broadband is wireless as well and the wired connection is disabled.
My PC running on Windows 7.I'm connected Internet via Wireless adapter. [code] But after connect VPN i'm not able to connect Internet anymore. I think because there are 2 gateway in there. and the default gateway become vpn network. In my case. How to connect vpn client and internet wireless adapter simultaneously?
