Cisco WAN :: Auto Failover On The Cat3560?

I have got a Branch Office with two redundant links connecting from Head Office A and Head Office B. Both links are LES 100MB and carry only VLAN 33 traffic. Head Office A has an ASR 1002, Head Office B has Cat3550 and the Branch Office has Cat3560. Both Cat3550 and Cat3560 at L3 switches.At the moment if one link fails i have to manually disable or activate ports/interface on either Head Office A or Head Office B devices and ammend the default gateway on Branch Office switch to either Head Office A or B device, which ever is working.I am looking for an automated and reliable solution for this so that i dont have to make any changes on the devices and failover happens automatically.

We our currently using site-to-site VPN tunnels to connect our multiple offices using static public IP's via ADSL connections.We wanted to get an additional ADSL connection from a different ISP so that if one connection drops, the other could be used.Are there any hardware devices or tricks we can use to automatically get our networks to failover to use the backup ADSL connection and have our VPN traffic remain up?

I want my core switch auto failover to other route if the primary route is link down it will go to the secondary route
example
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 1.1.1.1
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 2.2.2.2 100
if my core switch detect next-hop 1.1.1.1 it will re-route and go to the 2.2.2.2 for the next-hop my core switch using static route and cant support ip sla

One of our customer has 3 ISP Line, out of which Two are Broadband and One is Leased Line. All 3 ISP interfaces are Etherent.
Now, they want Auto Failover with Load balancing among these 3 ISP lines.
Can we do same implementation in Cisco 1941 Router?? What licenses required in router for same?

In the following topology
R1(f0/0)------------(f0/1)SW1(f0/2)------------R2
R1 is configured as host (no ip routing) with ip igmp join 239.10.10.10 on fa0/0 and R2 with ip pim sparse-mode on f0/0. SW1 is a Catalyst 3560 running IOS 12.2(25)SEE4 working at Layer 2 only in this topology (VLAN 1).
I configured SW1 for igmp snooping:
ip igmp snooping
ip igmp snooping vlan 1
Basically, I can see 'snooped' muticast group (via IGMP reports sent by R1)

What are the options avilable to add a cat3560 g switch to a stack of 3750x switches.?is there a connector avilable ?or is it possible to trunk via fiber ? cat 3560 has 4 sfps and 224 10/100/1000 ports with poe. cat 3750 stack has a 10 gb up link . What are the possible options?

I have a 4507R-E chassis with Supervisor IV running IOS 12.2(50)SG. I am trying to configure "auto qos voip trust" on some of the uplink ports. When I try to configure it on a port that is in a channel group, I get the error "AutoQoS Error: AutoQoS can not be configured on member port(s) of a port-channel". I have also tried configuring it on the channel interface, but it is not an available command under the channel interface. Is there a way to do auto qos on the channel interfaces or their member ports or does it have to be configured manually?

I will like to set auto baud for the SG500. By default its 115200bps.
I had tried the following methods:
1) switch xxxxx (config)# line console
switch xxxxx (config-line)# autobaud
--------------------> my terminal hangs and print out rubbish
2) Using http Administrator ->Console setting ( i cannot find the link with console setting)

I have a 7604 Edge router that connects to our Data centre via Fiber.
but i keep getting input errors on the interface Gi3/5. i also found out that i cannot change the duplex settings on the edge router to auto, i only have two options of full and half and changing it has not worked either.
I have tried to use a switch in between the fiber modem and the edge router to try to manipulate the duplex settings, but when i tried it the port simply shutdown and then i have to reverse the configuration.
The software version of the router is 12.2(33)SRE3, i really need to sort this out as connection to and from the Data centre is quite slow.

Some of which use snap and some use mux, the router is the one will start the connection and will always be on, untill there is a power cut, if there is. At this point when the power comes back on and a packet's destination is the outside the router should initiate a connection over the atm.
•Do not use this feature on a router that initiates PPPoA sessions.
•This feature supports ATM PVCs. Switched virtual circuits (SVCs) are not supported.
•PPPoA does not support static IP assignments within virtual templates.
The second and thrid I can understand and the 3rd will just get assigned an IP address from the ISP.But with the first point how is it possible to set this up when the router cannot initate the connection?

we have the issue that a new WLC 5508 has been installed in a new location. Unfortunaltelly we have no hands-on suopport on-site, so just remote connection.Now we figured that the service-port and management interfaces have to be reconfigured. In case we can not reach the WLC with the new configured interfaces it would be useful if the WLC reboots automatically after time x to reload the previouse working configuration.So the question is, is there a functionality to create a script which reboots the WLC automatically after time x?

This is the initial time to set up a new DSL provider's modem with their tech support. TCP/IP auto obtain IP address does not work (LAN status is 'limited or no connectivity'), entered static ip/dns, then LAN status is 'connected'. However, can't access internet (...DNS lookup failed...). After several calls over 5 hours w/ tech support, now only works using a manual broadband connection when cable physically connects modem and pc. Tried once to add wireless router(reset modem, connect and cold boot all 3 devices...) while the tech supporter was on phone, but broadband connection won't work any more. So the service rep said I had connection and could access internet, the router is not his issue.Is this the new modem problem or the provider server issue. I have had SBC DSL for years before swith to the new provider, everything worked fine. I also tried cable connect to a different laptop, got the same problem. Both PCs can still connect to my neibauer's wireless router no problem.

I had this problem since I installed this game (GTA San Andreas). So, I found that it keep auto alt tab when I play GTA only. Not other game. When I restart, it is gone. and will occurs when I open GTA. So, i try to scan and delete the game and the problem fixed. Still, when I install FiFa 2011, it is also happening. So, I deleted the game but the problem didnt fixed. Well, I also download Sims 3. and when I play the game, I tried to remove my Tenda Wireless reader, then the auto alt tab is no more occurs. So, it seems like I have to play games without using internet. Which means I can't play online games. So, I am telling you guys that I am having problem with auto alt tab/ losing focus when playing game/using programs like google chrome. So, what should I do for know? I think it might cause of my Tenda Wireless Reader? I'll try to use wire into my wifi then.

We have a few voip phones, with the voip server in the building. The hard phones have been trouble, with dropouts and occasional bad quality phone calls. The sip provider is absolutely hopeless. The modem router is a DG834Gv5 with fw V1.6.00.33. There is no option in the router interface to edit QoS settings. How can I improve our voip system? have an iphone connected to a handset or something, could that? We are using an iPECS-50A voip server and iPECS LIP-8012D phones.
My second question is in regards to auto attendants. I need to edit auto attendant settings. I assume this is done using the VOIP server. When the IP address is entered, I get a station program option and Admin & Maintenance. Where would I find auto attendant?

I live in a shared house, and I am the only one who has been experiencing issues connecting to the internet. I have to ask a housemate to reset the server, as this is the only thing that works.
When I am unable to connect, and I use command ipconfig, the following appears: Autoconfiguration IPv4 169.254.23.29 On the occasions when I am connected, the following appears in its place: IPv4 IP Address: 192.168.0.2
One tip that I came across was to check the box (Wireless Network properties, Connection tab) for "Connect even if the network is not broadcasting". I had hoped this simple solution would assist, but to no avail.

I am trying to sort out an IP problem on my mates PC. I have setup a Linksys wireless router on his home broadband and it works fine with my laptop and gives me a DHCP address. When I try to connect his home PC either with a wireless dongle or ethernet connect it gets a Public IP address through the router and not one of the DHCP addresses. Even if you give it a static IP address and setup the router to accept it when you turn the PC on it still gets this public IP address. It is associating with the wireless router but only gives a local connection. I have done the ipconfig and it just renews the public IP address to a different one

I've gotten a dir-600 and have been trying to configure it so that it won't auto connect to the internet. Some people in my network prefers to manually connect to the internet from their pppoe dial-up on their PC. I've tried changing it to static or dynamic ip in the LAN config, but everyone connected to the router from LAN couldn't dial out as well. changing it to ap allowed everyone (including wireless) solved the problem. but doing so, i am not able to access the router. the default ip's don't work, nor could i find the ip of the router on the network.
so what i want to do is reset it to factory settings and just use it as a hub/switch w/ wireless. don't want to use it to connect to the net automatically.

I have a 3750 that when a client computer shuts down the switch will not discover it on start-up unless I bounce the switch. Pretty dependable product so,.... did I miss something in my config? Switch is GBIC'd for Fiber?

I am trying to have the RV220W router auto-update the dyndns registration. The dynamic domain that I use is .info -- note the .info domain.
When I manually update the dyndns information (username and password) the registration does go through and the entry is updated on the dyndns site.
However, the registration does not auto-update after that.

I am working with a small off that has a 5505 acting as a basic firewall. Behind it are off-the-shelf unmanaged switches. Two users have to work with an outside vendor and are having issues. They have a Sonicwall remote VPN client on each of their desktops and use this to connect to the vendor. They then RDP into VMWare-based Windows 7 desktops at the vendor's site to do their work. Randomly throughout the day (6-10 times per day) while they are actively working the RDP session will disconnect. It will auto-reconnect after a few seconds. The VPN log on the clients never show any issues. I believe this is an RDP problem because while the RDP session is disconnecting, their VPN client is not (it is set to NOT auto-reconnect if it gets disconnected so that I will know for sure if it gets disconnected). I don't see anything in the ASA's logs about denying connections involving their PCs and the remote VPN peer IP.

The various setup pages of the RV220W router have an auto-refresh interval. I can change the interval from the default 10 seconds to 60 seconds maximum.I cannot change the Dashboard to different than 10 seconds.Every time I try to work with these pages, they black out and refresh, stopping my work.How do I change the Dashboard auto refresh interval to 60 seconds?Can I change all the auto refresh intervals to 10 minutes?

Building was recently upgraded from cat3 to cat6 wiring and I'd like to ssh into each Cisco C3750 stack and change every port on the stack to autonegotiate. I can release each port one at a time by doing "no speed" and "no duplex" after selecting each port (interface fastethernet x/x/x) , but it's taking forever as there are many stacks and each stack has a number of 24 and 48 port switches. The stacks are a mix of fastethernet and gigabit ports (C3750 and C3750G switches) if that changes anything command wise.
