Jun 4, 2012I am getting conflicting info about this, and need to get confirmations.Is the older 6513 (non E) model compatible with WS-X6407-10GE blade?The switch we're getting this for have WS-SUP720-3B, 6000W power supply, and WS-C6K-13SLT-FAN2.From what I read they are compatible if entered in slot 9-13, but I also heard that 10GE modules are not compatible with the non E chassis.

I've checked and found that E series line cards does not work with Sup V Engine.

Aug 15, 2012We recently installed a WS-X6716-10GE module in slot 6 within a Cisco 6506. We are using two ports on the module (6/13 and 6/14), which are port channeled together to a Nexus 5548. Everything has been running fine for about a month and the card had a green light but the ports stopped communicating. The module was screwed into the chassis/slot. For problem determination reasons, we reconfigured ports 6/13 & 6/14 to 6/15 & 6/16 and moved the cables but the module was still not responding. We eventually pulled the module out of the slot and reinserted the module back into the slot, which reset the module and fixed the problem. Is there any way to determine if this was hardware problem with the module and it should be replaced, or is it a software bug/problem? We opened up a ticket with the TAC but we haven't heard back from them yet.

Cisco Switching/Routing :: 6509 / WS-X6704-10GE Module And Port Status?
Dec 7, 2011We have two 6509 switches with one WS-X6704-10GE module in each of them. There is an optical cable between the two switches plugged in WS-X6704-10GE module on both sides. When you shut down the port on one side the other port still stays as up and you need phisycally to unplug the cable to have it down. The same behaviour is seen no matter on which of the two switches you shut down the port, the opposite one always stays as up and only removal of the cable makes it go down.
The ports are configured quite simply:

Aug 15, 2011I am trying to bring up a couple of ASR's. They are fitted with SPA modules (SPA-8X1GE-V2). These have SFP modules GLC-T fitted into them. For the life of me I cannot get these ports to come up. If I have a look at the inv the SFP's show as GE-T's (physically they are GLC-T's)
Is there a compatability problem with these GLC-T's on ASR 100x?

Apr 24, 2011i just noticed that im getting some alloc memory errors with a flexwan card i have on a cisco 6513 on slot 5/1, however i can't seem to figure out how to get more information on this and if the issue is related to the flexwan module or the DS3 card itself. Not really sure how to view memory stats/errors for a particular flexwan card on the 6500 platform. The 6500 has been up for a long time and rebooting it might work but i wanted to know what should be done before i reboot the 6500.

The only issue I have is the last step to in the deployment guide is to disable the controller based IDS signatures. I would like to be able to do this via a template in WCS. I have found where to do this via WCS controller webpage and also the controlller itself, but I'm looking for a way to push this change all at once. I have 26 wlcs so it would be nice to just do it once and apply to all of them. [URL]

This line is supported with SUP-2T, however not sure if the sup 2t will be configured in VSS. If any supporting document can be provided for the same , that would be great.
