I have a cisco router 1941 and i have uploaded before evaluation license , now i have already bought cisco security license .I have already installed on cisco router , but the problem the router is still using the evaluation license not the new license .
I have a Cisco 1921 ISR Router with Security License running software version 15.0. I want to upgrade the router to 15.1. But I don't want to lose the security license that came with the router. When I look at the IOS downloads page on Cisco, all I see is universal images for all versions of 15.1.
My question is - where is the security license stored? In the IOS or programmed in somewhere else of the router? If I upgrade my router to one of the newer 15.1 universal images, will I lose my security license?
We are planning to upgrade the ASA license in an A/S pair by adding the ASA5500-SC-20= license. The ASA is 5545 and runs 8.6. According to documentation, after 8.3 version, the ASAs can share a license features and do not require the same license on both boxes. I run a test in GNS3 with 8.4(2) images and I saw that by adding the 'activation-key' command only on the primary unit did the job as the 'show activation-key' output shows. In order to be 100% sure would like to verify the following:
Putting the activation-key only on the primary unit is enough and there is no need to do anything elseIn case the primary unit is standby, again we have to put the actication-key command on the primary unit (I am asking this because the 'activation-key' command is not listed under the commands that are not replicated to the other unitk, but doesn't make sense to be replicated since the activation-key is 'tied' with the S/N of the device).
i have 2921 router with base license . i want to upgrade to it to security k9 feature or want to enable it. i have license file with product activation key. how should i do it. if any body have screen shot file
I have a printer sitting on an outside interface e0/7 that external vendors were able to print to prior to an ISP IP address change and IOS upgrade.
We upgraded our IOS from 8.2.1 to 8.2.5. The printer wasn't changed so the MAC address mapping is still correct on the ISP translation list. The ISP issues DHCP MAC reservations for static IP address assignment. My printer doesn't seem to be getting the DHCP assignment now.
Here is the before and after config. I'm just wondering since this worked prior to changeing the IP and IOS changes if there is another command I need since upgrading from 8.2.1 to 8.2.5. The DHCP IP address is assigned and is working on my e0/0 vlan2 outside interface.

What's the difference between VPN Plus license and Security Plus license. I have new 5520 shipped with VPN Plus license. Also does it require a seperate license for Anyconnect for Mobile and AnyConnect Essentials.
I currently purchased, Cisco 1941/K9 with 2 onboard GE, 2 EHWIC slots, 1 ISM slot, 256MB CF default, 512MB DRAM default, IP Base.
1. With IP Base License, will I be able to run Frame Relay? I really need reference on what works and what doesn't between these different technology package licenses ? Actually frame relay is running on it right now, hope it doesn't suddenly stop after 60 days...
2. As I understand in order to run MPLS, I will need to upgrade to Data License "SL-19-DATA-K9". Since, I already have a Cisco 1941 to upgrade it, I need to order a spare license / paper PAK?
3. Does the IP Base License support site to site IPSEC VPN or do I need to purchase a security license "SL-19-SEC-K9"
4. Can I have both security and data license activated on the same device ?
5. If I do activate security or data license will I be able to use the IP Base features at the same time?
6. If I purchase a new Cisco 1941 with Data or Security License do I need to purchase the IP Base License then upgrade the license?
7. Is the 1941 suited for voice application routing ?
I have recently purchased 2 x 1941 routers with 2 L-SL-19-SEC-K9= and 2 L-FL-SSLVPN10-K9= licenses. I've installed the licenses through Cisco Configuration Pro ver 2.5 and installation did not generate any errors. After saving config and reloading the device, on the License dashboard, the deploy status for the SSL VPN is "Not deployed" and I have no way of deploying it. The state also says "Active, Not in use". I have tried reinstalling the license via command line but get error "license duplicate - already installed" suggesting the installation was OK. The sec license deployed without any issues. Is there any way to manually deploy this SSL_VPN license?
I have 1941, 2901 ISR routers. I will use 3G backup when primary link (metro ethernet / G.SHDSL) goes down. Do I have to use Data License (SL-19-DATA-K9 / SL-29-DATA-K9) in order to switch back to 3G when primary link is not reachable) ?

I am trying to upgrade CP Express to 2.5 and after the upgrade I bring up the webpage to login and I am prompted for my credentials, I enter them and I am authenticated. However the CP Express home page never loads. I have tried to reload 2.0 but it does the same thing.
I installed a 1941 router with an encrypted GRE tunnel yesterday. The router has ipbasek9 and securiyk9 licensed. Initially the router was running the image c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.150-1.M5.bin and was working fine. The tunnel was up and passing traffic. I then upgraded the IOS to c1900- universal k9-mz.SPA.151-2.T2.bin and when I reloaded the router the tunnel was stuck in a reset/down state. I tried doing shut/no shut on the interface and reloading the router again, no change. Being under some time pressure to get the device back into production I rolled back to the previous IOS image and the tunnel worked fine again. Is there a known bug that causes this behavior? I have searched cisco.com but have not found one. [code]
We are currently preforming the upgrade from WCS v.18.104.22.168 no NCS 1.1. When we select the Lic file we get an error message "Unable to add any license without an NCS (L-NCS-1.0-K9) license." The file name is WCSUPG20121115142018448.lic.
My client is having a 5505 which supports 2 SSL peers as per now and we want an upgrade . I had a look into GPL and I was confused with two of the following part numbers . Which one should I go for as both of these look same for me and there is a huge difference in price .
I have a cisco 1941 router. Stock standard vanilla hardware, no extras. Standard universal image. Data and Security not enabled.I would like to add a 4 gigabit port POE switch (EHWIC) module to the router..The 4 port POE switch module will be used to power and connect 2 x Areonet AP's for my home. I'm replacing a Apple Airport Extreeme and Express setup. I'll possibly later use the two remaining POE ports for security cameras. My question is, what extra hardware and or IOS version do I need for the POE swtich module to function on the 1941? [URL] I think this is the model I want EHWIC-4ESG-P #4 port 10/100/1000 Enhanced High-Speed WAN Interface Gigabit Ethernet switch with Power over Ethernet?
I have a two ASA HA and I'd like to upgrade the license to ASA5500-SSL-250. I need to know if i have to purchase one license (ASA5500-SSL-250) for the Active unit and one license (ASA5500-SSL-250) for the standby unit.
I want to confirm if the upgrade license (ASA5505-SW-10-UL=) is backward compactible with PIX 501 firewall device? though pix 501is end of life bit i want to verify if the upgrade license for asa5505 will work with it?
I have a Cisco ASA 5505 device with basic (default) license, currently all my reirections, VPN's, VLAN's(3 Vlan's) etc are configured on the same and are working fine. Now i need to upgrade my basic license to "Security Plus" for some additional features, if i upgrade it directley is there any complications in present rules, below is my doubhts
1. if i upgrade, did it change any of my present configurations ? 2. is there any name change or property changes for VLAN's or VPN's 3. did it affect the firewall functions 4. If anything goes wrong, can i restore it in to my old state using my previous dump.
We face following situation: Currently LMS 3.2 is installed. We order a 3.x to 4.0.1 upgrade license, in the meantime 4.1 is launched. So, we ordered the free of charge 4.0 to 4.1 minor upgrade license. Now we have a 3.x to 4.0 upgrade license and the 4.0 to 4.1 minor upgrade license and don't know how to proceed.
Is it now possible to install 4.1 from scratch directly and use the 4.0 to 4.1 upgrade license to register it? Of course we want to avoid to install 4.0 as an extra step...

We’ve ordered ASA 5510 with security plus license as below description:
ASA5510-K8 ASA 5510 Appliance with SW, 5FE, DES L-ASA5510-SEC-PL= ASA 5510 Security Plus License w/ HA, GE, more VLANs + conns
The license details on the appliance shows as the below, Fail over : Enabled Encryption-DES : Enabled Encryption-3DES-AES : Disabled Security Contexts : Default GTP/GPRS : Disabled Any Connect Premium Peers : Default Other VPN Peers : Default Advanced Endpoint Assessment : Disabled Any Connect for Mobile : Disabled Any Connect for Cisco VPN Phone : Disabled Shared License : Disabled UC Phone Proxy Sessions : Default Total UC Proxy Sessions : Default Any Connect Essentials : Disabled Bot net Traffic Filter : Disabled Inter company Media Engine : Disabled
I’ve noticed that the 3DES is disabled, do I need to order another license to use 3DES or not ?Also, I need 2 ~ 5 branches to connect simultaneously and have VPN access on their laptops to the main branch via vpn software, which VPN software I should use and is our license enough or I should order another license.
I am having an issue where I can't connect to VPN after upgrading the license. The license upgraded is related to AnyConnect VPN. I noticed from the newly upgraded license, the Encryption-3DES-AES is disabled whereas previously it was enabled.
I'm trying to upgrade an asr1001 (r1) from asr1001-universal.03.02.00.S.151-1.S.bin to asr1001-universalk9.03.02.00.S.151-1.S.bin. i've put in the boot system flash asr1001-universalk9.03.02.00.S.151-1.S.bin command and reloaded but the box keeps loading first image the configuration register is 0x2102. i've tried the license module command to enable adv enterprise but it made no difference so i removed it again. my license is now;

Do I need the security plus license to do HA with two 5520's?I was told by our purchasing department that the 5520 was supposed to be able to do HA out of the box, but when I look I see only the VPN + license. Does that mean I can download the security plus license? Or do I even need it on the 5520.
