View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for getting a Cisco prime NCS appliance (PRIME-NCS-APL-K9). I'm a little bit confused regarding to the license scheme:
1. Does the appliance has any license coming with it or we need to order the license separately?
2. If I have an WLC 5508 (license support 12 APs) & 12 3500 APs, then number of devices counted will be 1 (WLC) or 12 (APs) or 13 (WLC + APs) ?
I have a 5508 controller with a bunch of 3600 Series APs. I did all the basic config on the controller and added all the APs through distribution port #1. Now I was trying to config a second interface ( port #2) and use it for the Guest SSID on a separate VLAN. After I rebooted the controller, it dumped all the APs. I would like to know if this is normal, If I need to enroll the APs everytime I reboot the controller.

The original subnet we have configured 10.1.1.0 is able to access the internet without any problems. However the new subnet 10.1.5.0 is unable to access the internet and when we ran a trace packet the nat config nat (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 is showing as the rule that drops the packet.
Additionally we have not been able to get the 2 subnets to talk to each other even though same-security-traffic permit inter-interface is configured. How to configure the subnet 10.1.5.0 to access the internet or to get the subnets to communicate. Below is a streamlined version of our current config.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSeems that all solutions are null and void for us because we are not using SNMP v3 or H.
We are using SNMP v2, We have upgraded our WCS to latest version as well as the controllers. I have 6 controllers currently added although they are on WiSM blades.
We are unable to add the 5508 Controllers, we keep recieving this error -
No response from device, check SNMP communities, version or network for issues.
I have confirmed all connectivity is working, even with a debug on the controller you can see it sending SNMP packets to the WCS, although still same error.
What's the difference between VPN Plus license and Security Plus license. I have new 5520 shipped with VPN Plus license. Also does it require a seperate license for Anyconnect for Mobile and AnyConnect Essentials.

I am trying to add a 2nd wireless access point to my network at work basically to allow a better wireless signal on a 2nd floor.1st Access Point is a LInksys WAP54G Wireless G Access Point.I had a Belkin F5D7234-4 ver 4 G Wireless Router at home that I brought in to use as the 2nd access point. IP info on the Linksys is 192.168.1.245, subnet is 255.255.255.0, Gateway is 192.168.1.1.The Belkin has been reset to factory defauts so IP is 192.168.2.1.If I connect my PC directly to the router using one of the wired ports not the modem port, I can access the router webpage. As soon as I enable access point mode and change the router IP to 192.168.1.246,I lose the router and cannot access it at all to finish the network configuration.

I want to use this to connect to the switch upstairs (not downstairs - my stone walls limit any wireless access point) to provide wireless network coverage for my house. So I figured I should configure it with a dynamic IP address (ie it gets it from the netgear DHCP), turn off the TPLink's DHCP and firewall, and then any wireless devices attached to the TPLink by wireless should have access to printer and NAS

Tech supportme because no one wants to comment on if/how to attach equipment manufactured by some other company.I have a wireless home network using a Netgear DGN2280 router/modem. I also have an HP Officejet 5800 printer that I would like to add to the network. This is a USB printer that DOES NOT have a network card of any kind.I have heard of a print server, and know that it obviously has to do with hooking a printer to a network, but don't know if it will work in my application. Will this work for me?I just now noticed that there is a USB port on the back of the router/modem. can I hook my printer up to that port (and leave it hooked up) and print across the wireless network? I don't care if my printer has to be wired to something. I would just prefer that my laptop not have to be wired directly to the printer.
