Yesterday I did the Port Triggering and nothing changed, NAT type does not Open. One of the xbox sometimes has Open NAT Type and the other xbox Moderate NAT Type. I was using Cisco Connect Cloud but yesterday I went back to the classic layout.

Jan 8, 2011I just upgraded yesterday to the DIR-655 (ver B1, F/W Ver 2.00NA), and suddenly my sons Xbox 360 complains that the NAT is set to moderate. I'm not really sure what this means, but I've never seen it before and it wasn't an issue with my old router. It pertains to the DIR-655? I did some quick google searches and I've seen lots of different 'solutions' to this issue, but none of them seem to agree with each other and I'd rather not spend and entire afternoon trying one after another given that this router kills my internet connection for a full 20 seconds every single time I make any change.

Oct 11, 2012i've got a Dell laptop and a few months ago i started experiencing higher ping on some games and some spikes on the internet, at first i blamed my isp but this has continues since then and my brother has reported no spikes or ping increases in the last weeks. I experience a 120 ping on speedtest.net (on average) to servers that i used to get up to 20 ping on and i experience 200 ping on league of legends servers that i used to get 100~ ping on.My laptop is running on windows 7, using panda antivirus and spybot search and destroy (i uninstalled mcafee).

Nov 25, 2012I keep getting random moderate Nat sometimes, other times its opened. I have made a static Ip and port forwarded 4 ports that xbox uses. 88 udp..3074 both...53 both...80 tcp... Now when i test my connection on the xbox dashboard a message will come up saying make sure my UpNp is enabled, which it is and it tells me to make sure port 3074 is enabled which it is. I have restarted both my modem and router multiple times to try and fix this.
I have a linksys cisco e4200 and I recently updated its firmware which i thought would possibly fix the problem.I have talked to linksys but no luck.I have talked to my internet Cox Communication but they tell me its the router and i believe it is because when i directly connect my xbox to the modem i never get the moderate Nat. I have also talked to Norton about my virus protection because I thought maybe it was blocking some ports, but they disabled it and I still get the message.

Apr 24, 2012In my district, I have 11 schools running many LWAPPs and WAPs, connected to a single WLC and managed by WCS.Only the 4 LWAPPs in the administration building experience the following issue:When about 8-10 WiFi devices are present on one AP in the bulding (which usually happens during a meeting), all APs show a "Load Threshold Violation Error" and start dropping some clients intermittently and refusing to connect some new clients. There doesn't seem to be a pattern as to what sort of clients drop, or which ones can connect or re-connect. My WLC is on the same subnet as these LWAPPs since it is in the same building.
If I reboot the APs, this sets things back to normal for a while, but eventually the APs will show the same errors and the same connection problems occur. I have tried adding an LWAPP to our Boardroom, which is generally where users are located when the WiFi drops. For a while, this solved the problem, but it has since returned even with the additional LWAPP. Currently, I have all four LWAPPs in this building set to AP Mode H-REAP, as I do in my other schools. I understand this is normally bad practice; when your APs are on the same subnet as your WLC, generally those APs should be set to AP Mode Local. However, in my case, Local causes more drops and connection failures than H-REAP, so H-REAP is the closest thing I have to a "solution" to the problem.
I have checked the logs on my WLC and in WCS, and do not see any error messages besides the load threshold violations. I have tried increasing client count, and adjusting interference settings, but nothing seems to work. All LWAPPs are AIR-LAP1131G-A-K9 on IOS12.4(18a)JA2. WLC is Model 4404 on 5.2.193.0 firmware.

Feb 13, 2011I'm having trouble getting our xboxes to show up as open on Xbox Live. I was able to do it for one xbox by assigning static IP and doing port forwarding, but this doesn't work for more than one. I have now done every option I can find and get the same result of moderate NAT no matter what. I have entered the ports in port range triggering, tried UPnP both on and off, filter anonymous internet requests is disabled, filter NAT redirection disabled, and have upgraded the firmware. I don't know if there is anything that can even be done at this point. On a previous router I had this issue was very simple and just had to disable a certain NAT box but with this new one nothing seems to work.

Aug 4, 2012I have recently purchased an ASUS PCE-N13 wireless adapter, and I cannot get it to work for the life of me! I have tried installing the driver from the disk, however, when I try and look it up under device manager, I go to the "Other Devices" section as instructed and it just says "Unknown Device" instead of what it is supposed to say according to the manual. I have tried installing the Ralink driver, however I don't know if that was done correctly or not. I have gone through my BIOS and enabled the PCI slots power, so it isn't that.

My only concern is about the HD light that is always on, even when nobody is accessing it. I turned off the Auto-scan option but the HD seems to be always reading something...
When this HD was plugged on my computer the light was on during access only.Is it OK? I mean, isn't something that will decrease the HD lifespam? Is there a way to tell the E4200 to not access the HD when nobody is using it?

Jan 28, 2011I am using Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5895, with Windows 7 Home Premium.My laptop has been running beautifully since I updated from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium in Fall 2009. However, today the laptop has not been connecting to the wi-fi. It could not read the Atheros wireless card built into the laptop, and the all the network settings showed was the Ethernet adapter (realtek). I tried restarting and shutting down the laptop but it still did not read the wireless card (though the wireless light on the laptop was on, indicating that the wireless is on).
Then, after 4 hours of leaving the laptop shut down, the wireless started again. However, a half hour later it was down again, with the same problems already stated. The light was on and the card was not read. During my time online, I did manage to download the driver update from Toshiba website (Atheros Wireless LAN Driver for Windows 7 (32/64). I tried to install it but I received error messages, including: I tried again but I still received this message, but with a different file: I have no Ethernet connectivity and I need to use the wi-fi.

I've connected a usb hard drive to my TD-W8968 and shared the root folder via storage sharing.When I try to copy files to the hard drive from my computer the transfer speed it about 700 Kbytes/s. When reading from the drive to the computer I get 2000 Kbytes/s.This is way below the 30000Kbytes/s that can be delivered to/from the drive when it's connected to the computer's usb. I've tried several usb drives and for all I get the same results.Is there a way to increase the read/write speeds for the usb connected devices?
Cisco Switching/Routing :: Error Reading When Upgrading The IOS In Cat-3750
Nov 9, 2011I'm having some problems when upgrading the IOS of my Catalyst 3750 switch through a tftp server. I've been surfing the net and found that there seems to be a problem when the image file is larger than 16M but this is not my case.I erased the flash to be sure that there was enough memory space to upload the image but didnt work.I also tried with archive download-sw /overwrite command and using a ftp server but the problem is the always the same: [code]To make sure it was not a problem of my computer or tftp server, I tried with a different computer and with a different tftp server but the same happen. I also tried with a 3750V2 and still the same. Even when trying to backup the current IOS to my computer, I got "error writing".
Then, I have tried to do the same with a different model of switch, a WS-C3560-48PS and it works perfect.I still need to try using Xmodem but Xmodem takes ages to finalize the process.

Feb 26, 2012I am trying to get the temperature reading from one of our 3560G Switches using SNMP. When I run an snmpget on the Switch it returns back to me a "1".
So when I run the following I get:
> snmpget -v1 -c public 192.168.x.xxx 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.3.1005
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.13.1.3.1.3.1005 = Gauge32: 1
But when I telnet to the device and run a "show env temperature status" I get:

Temperature Value: 32 Degree Celsius
Temperature State: GREEN
Yellow Threshold : 51 Degree Celsius
Red Threshold : 61 Degree Celsius
So I'm not sure why I am getting a "1" when using snmpget on the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.3.1005 which is (ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusValue)??
If I run the same OID on another 3560G Router I get the correct output from snmp....

My ISP says that the PortStart and Base Host Port should be the same numbers and the PortEnd should be the number at the end of the range (10070-10080 for ps3). I'm going with that for the PS3 TCP numbers, but don't know which numbers to put in for the PS3 UDP or the Activision TCP and UDP.
