Iam joining sky in the coming week and will be receiving their free router (G Router). I am currently using (Belkin N Router) due to the distance from my computers and interferance (eg , walls, 4 floors).
I understand that I cannot use my own router with sky because they have username & password built into router. I have heard rumours that these details can be extracted.

We have 694 units Cisco Catalyst 4507R plus E swithes accross the network. LMS 4.1 can discover it no problem however, i cannot extract inventory information for these switches. I get the this "Number of devices that do not have inventory collected data" on the report.installed System image file is "bootflash:cat4500e-entservicesk9-mz.150-2.SG1.bin"
i saw this supported version:
150-1.XO (or) 03.01.00.SG <<--- should i have the exact image or higher version will do? [Inventory Config and Image Management]

Is the image installed on my switches not supported? seems like I have higher version.
Looking to set up a wireless printer (HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer - J610a) for use by another computer on the network; at present the printer is wirelessly connected to the router (Linksys e1000) and the software is installed on one computer (Win 7). The router recognizes a Network printer but no details about type.
The printer works correctly with the Win 7 machine but can't be found by the other machine (Win xp). Could it possibly be that I need to install the same software on the Win xp computer in order for it to be connected? Just guessing here as that was the case with another printer I networked but it was a Canon brand.

I have a Belkin aigo True Mimo PreN Router model FD 582304. I am trying to wireless connect a new laptop on windows 7. It wont accept the WEP key I have previously used. The router is cable connected to my desk top computer. How do I find out the details of the WEP key for this router or reset all.
I have installed some 3rd party software for email messaging and it requires SMTP details. I hardly even know what SMTP is. Via google I found one it has something to do with server for sending email messages but I don't want to use SMTP of my ISP which is (referring to smtp and not isp) the one that is being used in microsoft outlook program. But the 3rd party software is different one. It requires FIVE (5) datas and I have no idea how do I find them out:
email server name password username port
I have been searching for some smtp details what to type with the following requirements:
- smtp must be free to have and use details - working one - as fast as possible - no particular limits
The program also offers to set up ''in-build'' smtp server. If I choose this it works but the message cannot be sent for unknown reason. I don't have firewall and I double checked nothing is wrong with avast antivirus. So I will have to get the smtp details with mentoined four requirements. Don't even know where to search. I found some freeware smtp (or virtual smtp) applications but I need 5 datas to type in and not an application. No idea where to get them. I tried gmal [URL] but its not working, been trying also different ports.
I am looking for a way to hide all that information that can be retrieved about me, for example browser, OS, resolution, location, etc.. Is there a way to prevent the sites from getting that info?
Is it possible to obtain details for computers that are connecting to my wireless network? I can see their mac and ip addresses. I want to get details like computer name, operating system and other details if possible.

I know that when you surf the web, websites can log your IP & MAC address. If you get my jist, I don't want my laptop to be flagged on a few web sites I have been on.My plan is to use another pc, that has a wireless braodband dongle from a mobile phone company. The pc will be attched to the wireless router via eithernet, but banned from access the web via the router. This way I can connect remotley from my laptop.
Cant find the speeking result/cause of 4 and 1 in the example below, that are defined as enums in the MIBs normaly. Where can I access the result of "snmptranslate -M<MIB-dirs> -m ALL -Td <ps-status/test-oid>" if this is implemented in LMS overall? What are the OIDs from Cisco's ps-status/test, if the translation of MIB-enums is not implented?

We are running a ASA5520 with system image of "disk0:/asa843-k8.bin". I'm also running ASDM ver: 6.4(7)So my question is while I'm in the ASDM on the configuration of the firewall, I'm looking at the Access Rules. When I do a show log on any of the rules that have hit counts on them, it opens up a Real-Time Log Viewer but I don't see any information. It's not showing anything, nothing appears, it just sit's there like it's waiting but no data is coming. Even though if I go back out to all the rules, I can see the hit count incrementing. The same thing happens no matter which rule I pick with hit counts on them.
one of my customer has CSACS & has bought CSACS-5-BASE-LIC, at the time of registration i ,had put the end customer as my company, how to change the end customer details on the license.
Had sent a mail to licenseing@cisco.com, they changed the end user details at there end, but the same is not reflecting on the physical box at the customer site.

I am looking for for details meaning of license because I cannot found the details install. The license call
FLASR1-FW-RTU(=)
that is used to enable the firewall function in ASR 1000 series. But I don't clear about what feature inside, it is because it only show the "firewall" from website. Is that same as IOS firewall?
I've just received a Cisco 1801W router (pre-owned), which I'm going to be installing in our school, and I have been unable to figure out the details of the wireless configuration. The 1801W router is replacing an old basic Linksys WAP54G router. I'm hoping to configure the 1801 for basic DSL, with the WiFi configured with a single SSID, using WPA-PSK authentication with a hard-coded pre-shared key on the router. We do not have a radius server available at the school.
I think I have the router set up properly for DSL with NAT and DHCP for the internal network (192.168.1.x). The router's E0 interface uses 192.168.1.1, and the dialer0 interface will receive an IP from the service provider (ISP). The only thing I'm missing is the wireless configuration part.
(5508 WLC, 1142N APs).I understand if I enable the AP mode to Rogue Detector from the details page of the AP, the AP stops accepting requests and is now looking for rogue items on the wired network. Is this the same when I enable Rogue Location Discovery Protocol? Will I lose the wireless functionality of all of my APs on the controller?
Next question, when I look at the Rogue Summary on the Monitoring page I see three Adhoc Rogue devices. When I select the Detail link only one shows. I remember the other two were HP mutifuction devices with WIFI enabled but I cannot retrieve that information anymore.
On one of our N7K, we have some packets dropped by the COPP policy in the class-default class-map. Partial results of "show policy-map interface control-plane" not so long after clearing the counters : [code]
what traffic is dropped by the policy ? Is there any logging possible ?
I have two mac laptops and am trying to copy a directory with a number of PDFs in it. The files aren't particularly large, but there are many of them. At some point in the process the router stops and must be turned off and on before it will respond again either wirelessly or wired. I have tried the same experiment with both devices wired and the router works fine. I have tried changing the MTU, channel, beacon setting, etc. as other forum posts have tried. I tried reflashing the firmware, resetting to factory defaults and reconfiguring. So far no success. Cisco support wants me to return the router. Frankly I'm at the point of considering the former Linksys/Cisco products complete rubbish. I am going to have to buy a new router even if I return this one since I can't be without a router for any length of time.
We have a home use WRT160N router linked to a PC desktop and two wireless laptops, Yesterday bought a new I-Phone, but could not link to my network (entered the security key many times). I accidentally connected to computer fix it firm that linked to my PC and wanted a large sum to fix the problem which he said was due to large number of temp?? internet files and once removed he would change the IP address of the desktop computer? Is this diagnosis logical and can I do it on my own. The router is definetely working - both laptops access the internet and I was recently able to hook up a Samsung Blu-Ray player using the same security code I used for the I-Phone.
The router had firmware 2.0.x(?) and I tried to update to the latest FW, according to the webpage that's
FW_E1000_2.1.02.006_US_20130115.bin
Hardware is E1000 v2 according to sticker on back. The firmware update failed (no reason given) and the router now hangs in limbo where all it does is flashing the power LED.I set my PC to 19?2.168.1.2 and TFTP'd the firmware over to 192.168.1.1 - no errors reported and 192.168.1.1 is pingable. Held reset for 30s, then powered down the router for another 30s. On power-up the router still flashes the power LED.
