I've been trying to get it to work all day.When I open up Hamachi it shows the main screen with two buttons. Create a new network and Join an existing network.I've tried both but when I click create or join it doesn't do anything. Like it actually does nothing at all.Doesn't even close the window.Everything stays open and it doesn't either create or join any networks.
View 1 Repliestoday i upgraded our WLC4402 from 7.0.98.0 to 7.0.116.0. After the upgrade (also bootloader upgrade) the Aironet 1142 AP's do not joint the controller anymore. View 8 Replies View RelatedMy APs 1142N don't join their WLC. APs and WLC management interface are in the same vlan (WLC can ping all the APs). It is strange because it doesn't seem like they are trying to contact the WLC. What's strange is that I have other AP 1142N which joined this WLC without any problem.

i have configured cisco LAP1240 in H-Reap Mode for multiple branch offices with Local switching and central authentication. one of the branch's AP does not join the controller in HQ while the others are all ok. i have firewall only in HQ, i did priming first for all APs like let them join the controller and configure controller IP in high availbility, and H-Reap config and assign SSID to map with the branch local vlan. when i faced this issue first time i brought back ap and configure a static IP address for AP than recheck them again but the problem still same. since i have only one firewall in the network and also other branches joined the controller through that firewall and no issues.

I have set up LogMeIn Hamachi with my Linux server and a few clients. I have also created a simple shared folder on the server which shares with a Windows 7 machine.
I'm a bit confused though as to where the data is actually stored - presumably, because I have created the folder ON the server, and then shared it with the client Windows - the data is written on the server, and then accessed by the client if opened.
What I want is to create 2 copies, and automatically create a local copy of anything I put into this shared 'network' folder as well - so essentially there will be a folder when I can throw things into that will instantly duplicate (I run backup protocols separately of this).

I was able to hard-wire connect via the router but very randomly my wifi signal would go out and I would be completely unable to connect to the router on any device. Now I am having the exact same issues with my new Linksys router.Sometimes the wifi works and others I get "Unable to connect to network" or "Unable to join network". I have not yet noticed a pattern.Here are the things I have tried:
* Replace router with new router
* Remove encryption
* Change encryption types
* Restart both cable modem & router
* Factory reset of router
* Changed Channels
* Reboot of router from http://192.168.1.1 interface than mine) are all called 2WIRE490 and 2WIRE593.
I have configured a 1552, that is wired to network, as "Bridge" then "RootAP".
After reboot, I can see a MAP trying to join the network, in the "simple" logs of the controller :
"Mon May 6 17:29:43 2013 Mesh Node '04:da:d2:1f:4d:6f' failed to join controller, MAC address not in MAC filter list."
As I have done for the RAP, I enter this MAC address in the MAC Filtering area under Security tab. But this action doesn't solve the problem, I continue to see this message in the controller logs !
If I open a SSH session on the RAP, I can see this block of debug messages repeat all the time :

I don't know why the system talks about dot1x or Radius Authorization, and if this is the source of my problems. On a other hand, I can see in the debug messages that there is a 2 hours lag time between controller (correct time) and RAP (incorrect, I suppose it synchronize with the controller?)
My Netgear adapter will not join the wireless network and keeps timing out.

Reset Encryption from WEP to WPA/WPA2 Personal.Connected Vaio on Wifi using WPA2. Removed ethernet cable and connection was good at 54MB/s.Completed Windows Update
Just got a new(secondhand) laptop & have successfully connected it to the internet via my wireless router/modem, but can't get it onto my home network. It appears to work, says it's connected but shows no other computers & they don't show this one.The laptop is an Acer Travelmate 2428, running Win7 Professional. My 2 wirelessly networked PCs are running on WinXP & the printer is connected physically to one of those. The router/modem is an Edimax. In XP it talks about 'home networks' whereas Win7 has 'homegroups'. I've used the wizard to 'manually connect to a wireless network' which is how I networked the PCs. I've also tried all other options in the 'Network & Sharing Centre' including the troubleshooter which when 'troubleshooting network problems' only tells me my clock is not right. In the network & sharing centre under 'view your active networks it says 'home network' & next to homegroup says 'joined'.

Problem is still the same even after i reset the router a couple of times pass 30seconds, set the security to No Password.if i connect the router with a cable it connects seamlessly and allows me to go online.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI reset my Dlink 615 wireless router. I held down the power and reset for 30 seconds and rebooting the system with the disc. I did change the router name, but believe everything else stayed the same. My desk top is working fine being "hardwired" but nothing wireless will connect.
I did see this time it installed Network Magic which I have since uninstalled and again rebooted the computer system and still cannot get the wireless to work. It shows the network available, but my password for some reason does not take.
I had PCs, Macs and other devices (iphone, itouch) able to connect fine to the WRT610n. I moved to an apartment and when I turned the network on all the devices could connect expect for the iphone and itouch. I have tried turning the wireless security off and MAC filtering off . I get the same "Unable to join the network" message.

My EA4500 router seems to drop mine and my wife's iPhone wifi connection at what appears to be the edge of my router's range.
