I have the Clear Hub Express (Router/Modem combined) and I am trying to connect a separate Belkin Wireless Router (Model F5D8233-4v1) to allow additional "hard wire" connections. Correct settings required for the Clear Hub Express and any additional information that can instruct me on how to access the Belkin set-up screen if required. The standard 192.168.2.1 is not allowoing access to the Belkin Router.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently updated to Windows 8, and before updating, Windows 8 setup recognized the drivers for my Belkin G Desktop wireless card. After installation, my system was able to connect to my wi-fi network without any problem. However, due to the power going off at my home, an automatic update on Windows 8 got interrupted.
Since then, it has caused a ton of problems, which caused me to finally re-install Windows 8. Now, however, it does not recognize the wireless card and its drivers, and does not let me install from the CD, or through any alternate sources ?
Recently switched DSL providers and now have Cisco modem DPC3008. Able to connect to internet directly thru modem. Able to connect wired or wireless to router. Unable to get router to connect to internet via modem. Tried restart, reset, and new set-up. Called ISP (Charter) - no way, said contact Belkin.

On the DAP-1522, I use IE (not Firefox or Chrome) for configuration as follow:
- IP address: STATIC
- Wireless config: using Wizard
- Wireless security: WPA2 / AES
- Mac Cloning: disabled
I tested this by connecting a Windows 7 desktop AND laptop via Ethernet cable and both laptop can obtain IP address dynamically, so my DAP-1522 is talking to the WNDR3300 (it has DHCP). Both Win 7 machines can also access the Internet.The problem is, I can NO LONGER access DAP-1522 admin screen, even by typing the static IP address assigned to it. The ONLY way I can re-access it is:
a). Reset DAP-1522
b). Shutdown the WNDR3300 wireless router, assign a static IP to the laptop, connect via cable to DAP-1522

My court house has public wifi but there is always some interference which causes transmission between my laptop and machine to freeze. I am looking to get access to an external hard drive that I have set up on my wireless network.When I try to do an automated Windows backup (off my Vista based laptop files) on to an external hard drive which is connected to my wireless network (through a Belkin router) I am being asked for a user name and password to access the connected hard drive on the network. The thing is that I don't remember setting up a username and password for the hard drive at all. I can paste single files mannually onto the external hard drive without being asked for a username and password. I noticed that when this happens I cannot login into the router from my pc which is connected to the RVS4000 network.The only way to restore connectivity is to restart the RVS4000 by disconnecting power and powering back up.The router's WAN is connected to my Cable modem.The RVS400 has two PC connected to it. XD..Well basically I can't access my wireless modem router's settings (2 in 1 device I believe). I managed it once but haven't been able to do it again. I've tried the following:
-Reset router many times.
-Turn it on and off many times.
-reset router while ethernet cable is connected and without.
-ipconfig/release and renew
notthing works!!! I noticed the ip address changed from the default one of 192.168.2.1 to a completely different one...95.175.138.When I turned on my laptop today after being off overnight (and the router) somehow I did managed to get on the settings page again using 192.168.2.1 but didn't last for long. I recently purchased a new Belkin Play Max N600 HD, much different to my old Billion 5100. I'm only on an ADSL connection but will be upgrading to ADSL2 soon.
Anyway I have a Netgear WG602 v3 Wireless Access Point, and I was wondering am I able to put this somewhere else in the house and have it relay the internet connection to my devices (iPhone for example).
I'm in the User Interface of my Belkin Device but I have no clue how to actually set up this Netgear device to act as an AP. I've changed one thing on the Belkin device, not sure if it'll make any difference. I changed the Wireless Band from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz hoping that it'll strengthen the signal. I've attached a print screen of how the User Interface looks like in case any of the knowing would need some guide to where things are placed. =/
EDIT: Also whenever I'm downloading it's a bit slow. I don't have the fastest internet only 1.5Mbps (150kb/s) but now I'm downloading at about 50kb, and from my computer at about 70kb. =/ These are at separate times.
I am using a Verizon Fios system at home. I have a desktop pc on the other side of the house from my modem that does not have wireless capabilities. I read that I can use an access point to connect it to my wireless network. I'm not sure if this is true or not. I set up my Belkin N150 basic router as directed to make it an access point. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Belkin High-Speed Mode Wireless G Router F5D7231-4 and I wish to use it as an access point for my main desktop for my wireless network.
I have followed methods supplied by both Belkin and users and have had no success.
Instructions followed:
- Connect a computer to Belkin router using an ethernet cable.
- Reset the router to factory defaults. The reset button can be found at the botton of it. The reset procedure is given below
- Make sure the router is switched ON.
- Locate the reset button(inside a hole) at the back of the router.
- Use a paper clip, push the reset button and hold it for 30 seconds then release the reset button.
- Unplug the Power cable from back of the router and plug it back again and wait for another 30 seconds.
- Log on to router setup page by typing 192.168.2.1 in the address bar of the browser.
- On the left under wireless click on the option Use as Access Point.
- Select Enable and specify the IP address as 192.168.2.254 and subnet mask as 255.255.255.0 and click on apply changes.
Every time the system crashes whilst applying the changes.
