I was using Linksys ADSL router ( WAG120) as modem router. Recently I bought new Linksys x3000 and installed a modem router in place of WAG120. Now i would like to connect the both routers to get the signals in first floor of my house.

I have just purchased a WAG120N and E4200 Router.I would like to use the WAG as modem only and leave all network activity to be managed by the E4200.i have an ADSL2+ service through iiNet.All of my home harware is wireless.Has anyone completed this setup, or know how this might be achieved.Full Bridge mode on the WAG is my obvious thought but the specifics have me a bit confused.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Linksys X3000 to work with my ADSL connection (provider is Singtel from Singapore). I managed to use Cisco connection application to logon and setup the router OK, yesterday. I even connected my PC to the router by LAN, and also a few devices wirelessly.At the end of the day, I switched off everything... but next morning, when I booted up the router, I found that all my devices cannot access internet. Upon checking the server (192.168.1.1), I found that it does not have a IP from Singtel, although on the router the internet symbol (globe sign) is lighted up.I rebooted the router twice, getting the same results (note: I waited for a long time each time, until the globe was lighted up).I disconnected the X3000, and reconnected my Netgear DGN2000. It worked (and retrieved an IP address from Singtel). I then disconnected the Netgear and reconnected X3000. To my surprise, this time X3000 got the IP address and then internet is working again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to connect a cat 6 cable from the Ext Nte to the adsl nexuslink 5631 router but i couldn't make the router works for the 2 line i only get one line led on i tried to change the wires colors on the rj11 (4 pins) and even so i cloud not get both led light goes on for tho line and this only for the cat 6 if i hook the old wire i dont know whats kind of wire i think its for inercom or mebe cat3 its works in the ext Bt only 2 wires connected and on the modem side 4 wires is o nthe rj11 plug i tried to do it the same way with cat6 i only get single line and i do it now with (white-orange=pin 1) (blue-white=pin 2) (white-blue=pin 3) (orange-white=pin 4 ) on the plug , on the bt side i tried to but white -blue with blue-white not working even the opposite.i just want to know how to wire from ext-Bt to router using rj11-4pin cua thats what my router use on bonding to lines, btw i have only 2 wire on the bt side because i got 2 line phones on a phone line in the bt?

I only have access to rather slow connections (256 Kbps). But since I have two lines and two modems, I was wondering if I could bond them together and make a faster one. My main modem is a Lynksys WAG120N Wireless-N ADSL2+ Modem Router, which as you can see is also in charge of both wired and wireless networks at my place. The second one is an older D-Link ADSL modem (JUST modem).Since I have an extra LAN port on my Lynksys modem, I want to know if and how I can connect the second modem, and combine the two rates.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently, i bought a LinkSys WAG120N ANNEX-A to replace my old speedstrem4200. Well everything was fine, but after 2 days of it installed, it started to drop my ADSL connection.
Sometimes, it remain connected for 4-5 hours, then drop, or sometimes, it drop every 30min-1hour.I tried upgrading the firmware to 1.00.16, but no luck, it still drop the connection.I have 3 computer plugged to the router via cable(wired) plus 1 netbook(wireless) and 1 ipod (wireless).Sometimes, when 1 computer is turned off, it seem to make the ADSL connection drop when the LAN light turn off. I noticed everytime it drop the ADSL connection, in the logs, i get this:

I tried changing the MTU settings in the router to 1492 (my ISP default) but didnt work.
Tried changing the MTU to 1492 on every computer and still got the same problem.For now im using the WAG120N in bridge mode, and still using my old speedstream4200 as ADSL modem.
I'm using WAG120N, but suddenly Days back I am experiencing frequent disconnection after every 1-2minutes. After extensive Complains to my ISP (MTNL) they were unable to rectify the problem.Attaching the System Log of WAG120N. [code]

How I picture it is that adsl connection is terminating on one of above Cisco boxes, which is connected via Ethernet or wan port to sonic wall, and it's only passing the adsl connection on to sonic wall which in result will end up with my ISP assigned IP address ?

We have the phone line connected to an extension at the other end (where the Church is) >80m away. Any way of running a second concurrent router on the extension so I can set up an office with a VOIP number, pC's printers etc there too? We use Devolo ethernet over mains and wireless for the main building, but the church itself is on a completely seperate mains power supply so I can't use that. I could run 100m Cat 5 and locate a switch on that, but any way of achieving something similar over the phone cable which is already in place.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe've (an independent school) just bought an SR520 with a view to replacing one of our Draytek 2820s. We need to set up some site-to-site VPN with NAT and the Drayteks won't do it.
I've been trying to configure the SR520 in just the most basic fashion using CCA (3.1) and the CLI but with no success. I can't get a PPP connection with our ISP.
I've tried following the instructions in the software config pdf and also tried replicating the various 'running configs' reported in other posts in this forum to allow connection to a UK ISP, with no success. I don't know how many times I've reset the poor thing to factory defaults.
I have to say that I'm dismayed at how flaky the CCA appears to be. Many of the things I've tried with it simply don't work and often end up in it hanging. Close to useless in my view.
So instead I've tried to use the CLI which seems a lot more solid but is somewhat impenetrable and there's precious little by way of supporting explanation.
Have one switch and network.PC number one have win98 and network adapter and connected to the switch.PC number two have winXP and network adapter and connected to the switch same as win98.Network works on win98 and winxp they see each other.internet working on winxp but dont work on win98
