There are several features that don't work and are returning errors. For starters, when trying to save settings for media/device prioritization I am receiving a 2123 error message. Unable to save settings. EA4500/N900 Router, Cisco Cloud Connect.

I have my xbox in the set up for the prioritization, but when I try to set the bandwidth to 250 kbps upload, it resets to 0. My xbox is hardwired to the router and I know most of the feature set of this particular router is geared towards wifi, but I would assume the QoS settings would apply to the wired devices as well. exchanging this router for one that supports DD-WRT?

View 5 Replies View RelatedNew Router - Setup went easy. Create a folder named Media - copy a few formats in only 6 files all less than 2gb in size, 2 x avi (divx/xvid), mp3, mkv, mp4 and flv. All excited I scoot over to the PS 3 - righto we can do this!! Only to see no titles found. Great stuff Go to router - media server - scan - database updated - awesome let's try again! No titles found. Ok?!? Reboot router - reboot ps3. Still frowning - no titles found?

I have the Music folder share working with a Roku Soundbridge, so now would like to copy my iTunes playlists to this folder as well. I've tried creating a .m3u file in the Music folder but the Soundbridge doesn't recognize it. I put the following one line in this file, which just points to the file stored on the disk connected to the EA4500.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm very disappointed with this EA4500 DLNA feature this is one of the main reasons why i got this router.My Sammy TV can detect the USB that is attached and is able to view the files in the drive but when you play any video file larger than 1gb it does not work even shuts down my TV.Only on smaller files does it work flawlessly I know its not the TV because I have played those files on my previous Router (Netgear WNDR3800) and they even work when i connect the hard drive directly to the TV has any one else had this issue happen to them?
View 9 Replies View RelatedEA 4500 seems to work fine. Have a Seagate 3 TB HD connecfed to USB. Have LG Smart box connected to EA4500 by Cat5e cable. HD hard drive contents shows and accesses ok on PC via wireless. Smart box showed HD but only media files in "documents" directory, did not show "TV" & "Movies" directories.
Reset Router Media Server Access with "TV" & "Movies" directories - presto LG smarbow showed directories now and worked fine. This morning will no longer show "TV" & "Movies" directories on Smart box. Have tried deleting and resetting Router Media Server Access with "TV" & "Movies" directories several times, no luck.
I added some files to the hard drive which is connected to EA4500 by USB. I went to the Storage--Media Server Tab and clicked Scan All. I turned on the TV and pointed the DLNA Media Server at the hard drive.
The new files did not show up. They did show up a few hours later. Does the Scan button do anything?
I have the E3000 and have attched a WD 1TB USB drive. I set it up for FTP and Media sharing and it worked fine but somehow recently I could not connect anymore. I checked the router and all of my setting for the FTP and Media server were gone. The disk drive still shows avaiable but now it shows the entire 1TB free (it was at least half used). This is the second time this has happened, first I tjhought it was a bad disk and replaced it but now it happened again. I did do a power cycle some time ago but I remember it still work after that. Not sure why I am losing my settings. This does not give me a comfort level as to storing anything valuable on that drive.

I have no other connectivity issues. The only thing that I remember doing that may have caused this was to upgrade my firmware because my droid phone wouldn't connect.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to the EA4500 and the only issue I'm having is that it will not recognize my static DNS settings, which worked fine on my older E2000. No other hardware has changed except the router.I've tried both Google DNS and OpenDNS. In either case, the DNS settings can be entered and saved in the Basic Settings tab, but when I go to the admin tab, it shows my ISP's deafult DNS.

View 4 Replies View RelatedPurchased an EA4500 router. I'm using an old HP 4L laserjet and have it connected to the router via the USB port. I have 2 Mac's and installed vusb on both. I can successfully print from both Mac's, however I have to manually disconnect and connect the printer in the vusb client. I can't get the auto-connect and auto-disconnect settings to work by themselves. Any guidance on the proper settings here?Additionally, do I need to configure the printer driver though the vusb client? When I click "configure", I get an error saying"Cannot connect to Prolific Technology Inc. IEEE-1284 Controller.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Virgin Superhub at home which is capable of 2.4 OR 5GHz wireless. I have a mixture of 2.4 and 5 GHz tech at home so would like to use dual band. My wireless settings on my Superhub modem look like this.As you can see it has settings for 2.4 OR 5GHz and wireless modes of 54, 144 or 300Mbps.
What setting should I be using for my EA4500 to operate in dual band mode? I'm guessing I should put by Virgin Superhub modem in modem mode at 5GHz/300Mbps.I will besetting up seperate SSIDs for 2.4 and 5GHz bands.
I have 3com router and it is working fine. The issue is that when I am taking the router out of the electricity and reenter it back it will not save my settings and I will have to log in again to change the settings.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just recieved a WAP4410N and managed to log in to the web interface. It is not allowing me to change many settings. I try to change the wireless network mode and click on save and it goes back to disabled again.
P.S. I have just upgraded the firmware to 2.0.3.3 and tried to set it back to the factory defaults. neither worked.

Whenever I enter all the info for a port forward under NAT in the virtual server tab, I click 'save' and nothing happens; chrome and firefox both give the same result.If I go to a different screen after pressing save and then come back to NAT settings, there's no entry updates and no port forwards.Should I install a different firmware (I can't find a newer version to install) or is NAT not supposed to work under PVC2? If I don't enter proper info (like leave the ports blank) I get an error if I press 'save', asking me to finish entering all the required info.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've enabled the Media Server on my E3000 router. My PS3 can see the server and play media from it by my PCs can't!
I'm using Windows Media Player v 12.0 on Windows 7 and some older version on Windows XP and it's my understanding that the Media Server should appear under the "Other Libraries" section but it does not.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a bug in the E3000 firmware (I have the latest as of this date) or is the Media Server simply not compatible with Windows Media Player? compatible media player for Windows 7?
I did read a post about a firmware upgrade on the 4200 that broke the media player, but I don't know if such a problem exists for the E3000.
On a Microsoft xp network when we log off or shut down (randomly) users will have their computers lock or freeze at saving settings. The network is school district with around 1000 computers total.
-We think it is an issue with DNS or DHCP but we can not find anything only about our issue.
-It occurs randomly, but seems to target certain machines more. In a lab about 3 quarters of the computers are not affected and the other quarter will have it happen, but not every time. It will happen on student, teacher, and admin accounts.
-It has "spread" to 3 buildings now. At first it seemed to be an issues at one building but over the course of a week two new buildings are affected.
-No major changes in our network over the past month either.
I have a laptop that travels alot to different networks. I go to two differnent networks where I need to enter static network settings (wireless nic). How the heck do you save these settings so I don't have to enter them all the time. I know you can save the network profiles but does this save static settings assigned to the wireless nic?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I change a setup setting and click save settings, most of the time it gets stuck on the "saving..." notification window and eventually I get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page" notification. However I have found that if I repeatedly try it eventually it will accept the change. This never happens using the wizards only making manual changes. I am running the camera with a Wi-Fi connection. I am not sure this is a router or camera firmware bug (running V1.12)

I am attempting to open port 25565 though both Single Port Forwarding and Port Range Forwarding, and whenever I click the "save settings" button, I receive a full window message stating that my changes have been saved. Upon clicking this, I return to the previous screen whereupon my changes have been erased and my port has not been forwarded. Linksys E1200 Router not saving Port Forwarding changes.I have tried:
-Restarting the Modem
-Restarting the browser
-Restarting the computer
-Tried to Port Forward through both the Single and Ranged Port Forwarding
