May 4, 2013I have been bought a samsung tab 2 7 inch and it cant find my router , it find's others on the street but not mine . I have and android phone and thats ok.

Taking into account my Virgin Media Router is directly next to my TV? The Wireless & Internet is 100% working as we have other devices running of it - I-pad, Laptop, Phones etc!

Mar 18, 2013So I was having problems staying connected to the wifi on my samsung galaxy mini. Many fixes for other models in the galaxy series, limited fixes for the 'mini' version. Long story short, I was told to edit the DHCP lease time in my router settings.There I bumped into another problem.No mather what I tried there was no way of accessing the page. Weird thing is I remember having logged in on it before.Usually you just have to give in the standard gateway which should be 192.168.0.1 in my case. I checked it using ipconfig in cmd and my presumption was confirmed.Then I tried resetting the router to set back any settings that might've accidently been changed, in the hope that it would also reset the standard gateway and no succes.Now my knowledge about networking is verry limited.

Nov 5, 2011My Samsung R780 laptop is just over a year old and has had problems connecting to the internet for almost its entire life.The problem I have is that it seems to pick and choose which routers it will work with, without any logical pattern. I'm in a shared house at the moment, and the router we used to have worked OK from what I could tell (although it had a poor signal). It never actually provided my laptop with a connection unless I boosted the signal, but I assumed that was just due to the fact that it was on the other side of the house.

Jan 8, 2012My phone won't connect to my Belkin router (F5D7230-4) thru the wifi connection. It previously had connected fine, but I'd reset the router today & changed the password. I'm able to connect with no problems (thru wifi or regular connection) on my pc. I went to my Belkin router page and have looked at my MAC settings (only option it gives is to clone, which I tried), I've also tried changing the password....my phone also gave me the option of hitting the WPS button on my router within 2 minutes, which I did, but it would not configure automatically as it was supposed to.

May 28, 2011My brother got a samsung galaxy s captivate yesterday to replace his pos iphone 3g on Rogers Wireless. He wants to connect to the Dlink DIR-615's wifi to cut down on the data usage while at home on his 500mb per month data plan the ssid and the password are fine, but it hangs on the message "obtaining IP address..." which then after a while refuses to continue to connect and labels the connection "disabled"... the connection type is WPA2 AES something or other so as to guarantee wireless N connections for the xbox and my pc (the ps3 doesn't really do everything, it only does G not N lol)...
I am not familiar with the phone as it's not mine (someday maybe...) so maybe there is a setting i missed. I do know the router is not mac address restricted (meaning only certain computers are allowed to connect).

Jul 12, 2013this might sound straight forward, but every other pc or console can find and connect to my router.This issue seems to happen about once every few months, sometimes it comes back by itself and reconnects completely fine.
There isn't a "user limit" on our router.Wireless adapter is dell wireless 1505 draft 802.11n wlan mini-card.
Have restarted PC and uninstalled and reinstalled the card.I tried to set the i.p address to static but it says "adapter disconnected" so won't allow me to edit any settings, despite it being able to find neighbour's wireless very easily.

Jan 6, 2012Samsung blu ray BD5700 is not saving the security key to my cisco lynksys router model E1000 after blu ray is powered off. I have spoken with samsung and followed their reconfiguration instructions which did not work. They suggested something was wrong with my blu ray player. I returned the blu ray to the store and exchanged for the same model hoping it was a problem with that device but the new blu ray is doing the same thing. Oct 18, 2011I just bought a Samsung BD-D5300 Blu-ray player that allows a bunch of networking options including wireless and wired. I was using the wired option when I came across some conflicts with my network using a Linksys WRT350N v1. The Samsung conflicted with the Linksys's DHCP server. The blu-ray player turns off automatically when inactive. It was causing conflicts with my iPad 2, MacBook Pro and Motorola Atrix android phone whenever it got assigned an IP address. When I reset the router and my cable modem, it wasn't assigned an address for awhile, which fixed things, but as soon as it got an address again, it was caused conflicts by being seen as a LAN by my router. When it wasn't receiving an address, it got the automatic private IP address of 169.x.x.x. When I removed the connection with my router, the conflicts disappeared and my computers were able to access my wifi again.

However, I cannot connect my Samsun BD-C7900 Blu Ray. What is really wierd is that the 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz have two different names on my router (cause that is what the cisco support tech told me to do- give them separate names) but on the Samsung BD-C7900 - it shows that there are two signals coming in but with the same name! When i tried to connect i get an error message. Keep in mind my E4200 v2 is secondary router connected to fios actiontec.

Jan 29, 2013I have been trying to connect my smart tv to my wireless network for the last 3 weeks. It connects intermittently but the connection is always lost within a few minutes to a couple hours. I have turned off all of the firewalls, and all other devices connect fine. It is an ea4500 running on updated firmware and a Samsung 6900 smart tv. The connection works if I run an ehternet cable to it oith from the modem as well as from the router, but it does not work over the wireless connection.

Feb 11, 2011Trying to connect a Samsung clp-315w wirelessly to my E3000. I plug the Ethernet cable into both to configure the printer and I cannot access the printer via its IP address. I suspect the printer is reporting the wrong IP address or it the IP is not being assigned by the router or it is being blocked by the router. Routers firewall is off. I use the Samsung software and it does not see the printer either. It seems the router is not seeing the printer or allowing it access to the network. Spent much time with a good Samsung support person and tried everything and narrowed the problem down to the router connection. Is there a setting on the router which needs to be changed to allow me to see the printer to configure it for wireless access?

May 12, 2010As the subject says, I've hooked up a Samsung BD player to a BEFSR41 router. The router has the current firmware version. When I run the connection test for the player, the local connection is good but the Internet connection fails and the message is " The HTTP port is disabled."
I've searched high and low for a solution to no avail. I did searches on the forum and couldn't find anything. As a test, I connected the BD player directly to the DSL modem and the Internet connection worked perfectly so it appears that the blockage is within the router.
I've serched through the router setup and have changed most settings to try and find something that would work. Nothing worked so I have returned my setup to its original state.

Aug 27, 2012I've just bought a new Samsung 3 series laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit). I have two braodband lines at my home (1: Sky with standard Sky wireless router. 2: BT with Netgear wireless router). The Netgear router is primarily used for business but I also use it to connect with my old Dell laptop and my iPad. However I cant seem to connect with my new Samsung laptop to the Netgear router. I want to get rid of the Sky broadband line but neet to get the Netgear line working correctly first.If i turn the Netgear router off and then on again the laptop can see the router and picks up the wireless signal and connects for a few minutes before it drops off and then it can find it again. The laptop does similar with the Sky router except that the connection seems to last longer before it drops off and at least it can always see the Sky wireless signal for me to reconnect again.

It was connected in the past, but when I go through the test, it fails at "IP address, Subnet, Gateway, DNS Server Test Failed" I have done the typical reomve power from router/wireless combo, wait 30 seconds, plug back in.My other wireless devices connect to my wireless network with no issues. I even disconnected one and reconnected just to verify I had my security code correct.I saw something from Samsung that says DHCP needs to be enabled, but I believe this is disabled on my router and not sure how to change it.
