I have 2811 router and tried to login through AUX port. I am using multitech modem to dial. When i try to login i am getting all special characters in the screen. I have changed the cable but still the same result. I have tried with different link speed also.
When i checked the router , it is showing AUX user is logged in at the time if issue(with show user command).But i am getting only junk character and some times blank screen.
I typed confreg 0x2124 and reset my 2811 and now the characters are not recognizable.

Its no big deal but everything I look at to do with my network on my win7 pc says its network5. Is there a way to have this network 1 which I assume it was once? Does this mean that there is also junk hiding within my network as to the configuration of 4 earlier networks?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been assinged a task to connect our branch office with the head office, so that the IP Phones in the branch office can be connected to Cisco Call Manager at head office. To accomplish this they have given a Cisco 877 Adsl router a 10 Port 3-COM POE Switch and 3 Cisco 7911 IP Phones. Currently the there are 7 PC's Connected to 3 COM Switch which indeed is connected to a Internet router(Speedtouch). First I thought of connectiong the IP Phones to the Ethernet Port on Cisco 877 router but had to change my mind as the ports are non POE ports and I do not have adapters for IP phones. So I've decided to connect the Phones to 3 COM Switch and create VLAN's (DATA & VOICE) and pass the DATA traffic through Speed Touch and Voice traffic through the Cisco 877 router, but when I tried accessing the 3-COM Switch via Console I am getting Junk language( See the attachment for reference).

I took a SANS 401 class a few years back, and I remember them showing us how you could break PING (buffer- overflow? memory stack?)by pinging things you wouldn't normally.This was on WinXP I can't duplicate this on Win7, and have forgotten what exactly it was we typed in....I think it was some ALT-code characters, or a tick, 0x33 or something....I realize PING can take octal, decimal, and hexadecimal values?

I just got one of these and it works pretty good except I can't get it to take more than a 32 character WPA2 PSK. Tried using Firefox and IE and it doesn't make a difference. This is for my house. I'm retiring an old Cisco 1200 series AP and as well as a Cisco 1130. Using the same PSK and it doesn't work. Even if I just put 32 characters and just try typing more characters, it doesn't accept any more.Running 1.0.0.3 code and don't see anything newer or any firmware for it for that matter.

I have been trying to connect a camera to the wifi router at my mother's assisted living facility. The password has a special character, "!".
After hours waiting on the phone with tech support, they confirmed that only letters and numbers are supported. Guess i have to take it back.
Incidentally, the software is changing "!" to "%21", which is the escape sequence used in URL's. The camera software isn't mapping it back. Should be fixable in firmware.
Regarding our international subsidiaries there are many names that contain the character "-" (i.e. Pierre-Pascal)When trying to create an new Guest Account the ISE refuses it because of an invalid character in the "First Name" field.In other formular fields i.e. Email Address - the character "-" is allowed.Is it possible to change the rule which checks the fields for illegal characters? I created the website with Dreamweaver software and uploaded it to fatcow via port 21.My internet connection was via xplornet and I had no access problems. I upgraded to xplornet's new g4 system and now I can no longer access my account online or upload to my website.We have two computers. The first is a desktop system that has the dreamweaver software. The second is a laptop which connects wirelessly. We share the signal through a dlink router. The modem is a viasat Surfbeam 2 residential satellite modem.1. When I attempt to login to the fatcow control panel, the tab shows successfully authenticated and then re-directs me back to the login page. This happens on both the laptop and the desktop.
I have tried bypassing the router and the problem still exists.I took the laptop to the computer center and I can login to the account no problem.I used a free proxy server page on the internet and can login from my home system on my desktop no problem.I have completely turned off virus scan and firewalls. It doesn't work. I have tried IE7, Chrome, Firefox and they all have the same problem. The laptop runs IE8 and has the same problem.I can ping the page successfully. I can traceroute the page successfully. I can't nslooup any site at all. I get the domain not existant message.My ip and dns settings are the automatically find option.I have renewed ips and dumped the dns cache.Using alternate dns addresses doesn't rectify the problem. When I attempt to upload via dreamweaver, I connect but within seconds I get a Dreamweaver message that says "Connection to remote host has been lost. Click refresh to continue" and the log reads "FTP Error. Dreamweaver could not connect to server." I haven't taken my desktop anywhere to try to see if it works on a different network. I'm in a remote location (hence the satellite internet)and it is an hours drive to the nearest private internet connection and a 2 hour drive to the nearest public connection.
We have a Linksys WRT120N wireless router set up at one of our small offices. I noticed recently when trying to log in to the router to make some admin configurations that it will not accept the login credentials when trying to log in from IE10 browser. I can login into the console just fine but if I try and login into the server via the web [URL] it tells me invalid username or password.
During setup I left the username default and set the password. Then it asked me for the password to login to the web but it never asked me the username to use. I have to set this up very soon.
We have a Cisco SF 300-08 here at work that cannot be used. The system lights are green and flashing. I looked into the manual and pressed the reset button for more than 10 seconds for a factory reset. The port lights lit up momentarily and then goes out. I used Putty and Tera Term with no luck. The screen is just blank; there's no boot up process.

I have reset the password for 'admin' username with the following:

i have 2960 Catalyst with LANLITE. And i cannot set "transport input ssh", it allows only telnet. I'm wondering if cisco lanlite switches have ssh input in newer releases of IOS or there is no way to make ssh input on this switch?Here's show ver output (i removed all serial and part numbers):

how can I import a public or private key in a router? For example, a Cisco 3560th I have found some conflicting answers @ cisco.com . Background, I would like to login with PUTTY via ssh on a Cisco Router but without username and password.The login should be made with RSA Keys. For this I need to deposit on the IOS device's the public key and on my Client the private key. For this I've already created with PuTTYGen the two keys. The private is in the ppk format. I still need to convert this into a different format? Since there are PEM and PKCS. Below you can see what times I have entered. With the error message: "CRYPTO_PKI: Import PKCS12 operation failed, failure status = 0x705" With the following error message I can do anything?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI configured a new SG-200-08 with a static IP. I tried to save the configuration as the startup configuration. After 10 minutes, I restarted the switch. It didn't boot with the new configuration, and returned to the default .254 and default pw. Now I cannnot assign a new pw or get past the change the pw page. When I try to save a new pw, the switch reboots and prompts me to change from the default pw. I tried resetting the switch by depressing the reset button for a long time, but results are the same. LED indicators are green with a flashing green indicating the .254 address and a solid green on the port where the switch is connected to the computer. How can I reset the switch or get passed the change your pw page?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm crazy with this version of ACS, it is totally diferent than ACS 4.2, which is familiar for me and seems to difficult to config for me.Although I have red a lot of post about problems with the integration WCS 7.0 and ACS 5.2 using TACACs+ for admin or lobby access to the web portal I can't do login into WCS as Lobby ambassador using ACS 5.2 because always show me the error "User has no usergroups assigned".Steps I followed:
- I create a "shell profile" with the custom attributes of the group "lobby ambassador".
- In default device admin / authorization, I create a rule matching this "shell profile".
I see lot os Hit counts and passed in logs, but the message written previously.In ACS 4.2 I had to create the custom attribute "HTTP" and string "Wireless- WCS" to work with, but now I don't know if it is necessary and I don't know how to do it.
