I am missing something and i dont no what but i am trying to ping a pc on the same network but get a destination host is unreachable. Can any one think of anything that could be causing this, i can ping the default gateway and internet address's?

I have an issue with a Cisco 857w. When I connect on via SDM I get a message saying "SDM has detected enabled debugs on the router. Because debugs degrade the performance of the router and of SDM, it is recommended that they be disabled". I've connected onto the router via telnet and ran the show debug command which indicates that dot11 debugging is on and when I run the command no debugging all it turns it off. I then do a copy run start and reboot the router and it comes back on. how I permanently disable it?

Basically what im looking for is to have a visible (broadcast ssid) network with a password (WEP/WPA/WPA2, not picky) and it to be joined to the same vlan as the ethernet ports (VLAN 1).
i'm configuring the network using static routing from the information above. can i know why i'm unable to ping from pc 1 to pc2 and pc0 to pc2?

I have created an IPSEC VPN tunnel using a Cisco ASA5520 (corporate) to a Cisco SRP541W (remote). The corporate subnet is 10.1.0.0/16, and the remote subnet is 192.168.1.0/24. From the remote subnet, I can ping anything on the 10.1.0.0 corporate network, but I cannot ping from the corporate network to the remote subnet. At first I thought this was something obvious, perhaps an incorrect acl or something easy on the corporate firewall. However, we have several other vpn tunnels established, all set up the same, and they work just fine. After looking at it a bit more closely, if I ping the remote subnet I see the hit counter increment by one each time, which leads me to believe that traffic is in fact being routed properly.Now I'm thinking that something in the remote SRP541W that is not allowing icmp traffic, but I can't find it anywhere. To be honest I have never used this type of firewall before, they have all been Cisco PIX501/506e and ASA5500 models.

I have deploy a IIS Server on Windows2008 and configure the Static IP on that server. earlier it was working fine . but since last month the IP is not pinging from Out Side but internal IP Pool its working. I can establish the VPN and ping a printer but not the Win 7 PC. I can not acccess any shares on the pc via the IP address. It has Norton Antivirus and Windows Firewall. This remote PC replaced a Windows xp PC that allowed access to the shares. I have tried access with a Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista Home Premium PC. Neither have worked.

There's no way it works. After we've format the flash leaving inside only the System image file that is "flash:/c850-advsecurityk9-mz.124-15.T17.bin"
and the tar image denominated ccpexpressAdmin27.tar every time we launch the command
it finish with an error about impossible to extract filenames longer than 45 characters. So it stopped to uncompress the .tar files and it doesn't work.
I can't understand why this happens and it doesn't seems to have a solution.
I have a 857w adsl router, I have configured it to connected to my ISP and i get a dhcp address from them, and I have dhcp pool to assign ip addresses to wireless or LAN, i have nat overload on a BVI . I am now trying to get one of the LAN port which has a device of 172.16.0.3 to be accessible from the outside world, but it will not let anyone connect to it.

Because in HQ LAN network I have some development servers, to which guys from branch office need to have acces, I decided to setup VPN site-to-site between HQ and branch office. Everything went quite smoothly, on both devices I see, that ipsec connection is established. Unfortunately I am not able to ping resources from one network to other one and vice versa. I have set up three E4200 routers as wireless access points on our network. They each have a static ip and the same subnet mask and gateway that our pcs have. They also have a local address that I can connect to if wired straight into them.
I cannot ping or remote admin into any of them and I have enabled all the options to do so. The routers seem to work fine as WAPs, providing internet and network access.
I'm trying to view the logs from a Cisco 857W router to a workstation running the Kiwi Syslog server. what I've done is the following:
Config term
Logging on
Logging source-interface BVI1
Logging Facility Local7 (or any other facility you want to allocate for this router.)
Logging [IP Address or Hostname of machine running Kiwi Syslog Server]

I see noting on the syslog server. Although I can see the log information on the router Also is there a command to stop the logging from generating or is this on by default.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have installed 2 Cisco 1310's, connecting two buildings that are about 1000 yards apart. One access point is connected to an existing 3560 24 port switch, the other access point has a new 3560 24 port switch connected to it. Also installed 4 1240 access point in the newly connected building to the new switch. Issue is my router and existing switches can not ping any devices on the other side of the bridge. They can ping both access points that make the bridge. I consoled the new switch and could ping the existing switches and router, after doing that the other switches and router are now able to ping the new switch. Now my main issue is I have a user using a 7921 phone connected to one of the new 1242's, when he makes a call to a person in the first building they can hear him, however he can not hear them. Our call manager is in another state were I am located. I can call him and vise versa, and we can hear each other. I have went over my configs server times, and doubled check my IOS versions to make sure they are up to date. I will be glad to provide configs upon request.

I've disabled UPnP, disabled DHCP, changed the LAN IP address to an available address on the network. The wireless works, devices are getting an IP from the network DHCP server and can surf the internet. But the DLink router itself cannot ping any external IP addresses.
