As of this morning we are not able to view our webpage online (ronnysinc.com) or any inmotionhosting pages including our email accounts. However, we can view any other website and computers outside of our network seem to be able to view those pages without any problem. [code] As you can see it works fine with any other website such as google. My initial thought was it was being blocked by our firewall but when I log into the router I do not see any firewall settings that would create this block. I also tried resetting the router and flushing the DNS with no success.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA I went over to a friend's house to fix some problems with his computer. He has a Windows XP Home Edition desktop. I used System Restore to fix some kinks with it, and now the computer has no Internet access, and I have no idea how to get it back. I tried reversing the System Restore and turning it off, but that's not working. They said that the connection was fine, but that the computer could not read the modem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to connect to my office PCs via VPN and/or RDP. The office uses Qwest DSL and has a dynamic IP address. I use DynDNS.org to keep the DNS updated with the WAN address of the router. However, any attempt to access the network fails. I have tried remote management access (I enabled it on the router) but that fails. I forwarded RDP ports on the router to one of the PCs but can't connect to it. I also set up a VPN server but cannot connect to it either. Something tells me that all requests to myoffice.homeip.net are not getting to my modem/router. I have even tried the IP associated with the name (Yes, I did check that it is correct!) but nothing works there either.

When I checked the vendor for this MAC, it shows Lexmark international inc, which fact make me feel something is wrong. My first thought was that somebody trying to break into my net but I am close to accept that the owner of Lexmark WiFi printer without an idea in networking, just tried to connect it to his network and after failing to do that, it's wired and wireless features are still on. But still could this be bug or something? I am posting some logs when I first discovered the problem and after I granted access to the device with the MAC address 0020008E971E. I forgot to tell you, that before I decided to post here I did firmware upgrade from Hardware version A3 1.10 to 1.35NA (I bought it from US) with factory default restore. The result was absolutely the same - the messages kept coming "Access denied to wireless system with MAC address 0020008E971E". So I granted access to that MAC and checked the logs again. There is a line in the log that stated "primary:"

access-list OUTSIDE extended permit tcp any host 100.100.100.2 eq 3389
When I view the logs it is reporting the following:Inbound TCP connection denied from 206.100.100.1 (external IP) to 100.100.100.2 /3389 flags SYN on interface outside.Been pulling my hair out with this one as I believe I have everything configured correctly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've attached my ASA's config. I can't bring the VPN up by pinging from the ASA but the VPN will come up when someone pings from behind the ISA server. So the problem seems to be routing/NAT on my ASA because my pings aren't being directed out the tunnel. The VPN in question has 64.106.x.x as the peer and AES 256/SHA for phase 1 and 2.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI will be moving away from my home computer but will still want access to it so I am trying to set up a VPN between it (home computer is windows 7) and my fedora 15 machine. They are currently on the same 192.168.1.0/24 network so I'm wondering if that may be the cause for my troubles.
Here's my setup:
Fedora 15 (192.168.1.3) is running the PPTP server with pptpd and gives 192.168.1.66 to any vpn client that connects to it./etc/pptpd.conf only has "localip 192.168.1.3" and "remoteip 192.168.1.66" options in it /etc/ppp/options.pptpd has "refuse-pap, refuse-chap, refuse-mschap, require-mschap-v2, require-mppe-128, proxyarp, lock, nobsdcomp, novj, novjccomp, nologfd, debug, dump" options Windows 7 (192.168.1.6, 192.168.1.66) is the client and I have it set to use connect to the public IP address of my router, PPTP, require encryption, only allow mschap-v2, don't use gateway in ipv4 properties. Both machines are connected to the same Belkin router (192.168.1.254) and I can ping locally to and from each computer no problem. The problem is my VPN connection is very inconsistent. I will open a ftp connection to 192.168.1.66 from 192.168.1.3, login, start uploading a file, get about 10MB uploaded, and then the VPN connection will die and the upload will fail. But, when I have "ping 192.168.1.66" running while uploading, the connection stays alive.
Lately I've noticed that my internet connection has been less than stellar. I will be playing an online game or surfing the web, and every so often I'll freeze up or things just won't run smoothly. My network consists of the following...All of my computers and devices connect to a Cisco 16 port gigabit switchThe switch then connects to a Peplink 20 Dual WAN routerThe router connects to a cable modem as well as a DSL modemThe other day I was trying to diagnose the problem, as well as update the firmware of the router. While I was on the main "status" page, I noticed an error saying that I couldn't connect to the router. It quickly cleared and everything was working fine. This of course made me think that my issues have to do with my connection to the router, and not with the internet service itself. I then tried ping -t to two other computers on the network, as well as the router. After 5 minutes of pinging, the connections to the two computers had zero fails, while the router connection failed about 5% of the time. I ran the same check from the other computers on the network, with similar results. So, I know that the issue lies with the router (I think), but that's where my brainstorm ends.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm currently taking a networking course and was having some difficulty answering the following questions and could use a little clarification.Question: When pinging a non-existent device on your subnet, why doesn't the source node issue a ICMP echo request. My thoughts on this was because there was not a receiving node therefore any ICMP packets were not issued.Question 2: when pinging another non-existent device but not on your subnet, why doesn't the source node issue a ICMP echo request.
