View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to an Epson WF 545 to connect to a wireless network. I get an error message when it fails to connect to a networked iMac. The message says, "Entered security key/password does not match the one set for your router/access point."Several weeks ago, I had to reset my wireless network password/security key. That reset worked for our 3 PCs and 2 Macs including this iMac...the one that now doesn't connect to the wireless printer or maybe vice versa...why the iMac can't connect to the Epson (or vice versa), but the iMac does connect to the wireless network, and in order to do that, it makes use of the new network password / security key that I just put in the Epson to set it up in the network. Can you tell me if the wireless router somehow has a password / security key that I did not change when I changed the wireless network security key? The new network password/security key that I entered in the Epson is correct.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased an Epson XP-205 Wi-Fi printer, and I set it up on my network and installed the drivers to my laptop, initially I could print over the network, but since a restart I can't. I have tried an uninstall and reinstall of the printer, but to no avail and if it matters, I'm running W7 64-bit.
I've ensured the printing programs are part of my firewall exclusion rules, and I can access the printers set up page via 192.168.1.3, also as expected, the printer is "pingable". On top of this my Android tablet is able to send things to the printer, so I'm sure it is an issue with my laptop.
I have a multifunctional printer epson cx8300 and have it connected to a print server TP-LINK TL-PS310U in a hope that every PCs on the network can share the printer to do printing and scanning. When I did a test to check if I can send a job to the printer, I could actually print it through the print server. However, the problem now is I can not scan a document. When I went to open windows Fax and Scanner window, unable to see any scanner there. So my question is whether this is the limitation of the epson printer itself or the print server or the scanners do not work on the network.

Ive downloaded and installed the latest drivers and software from the internet. My PC is connected with a cable to my wireless router. When I connect the printer with a cable to my router everything works perfectly. But I want to connect my printer wireless. On the printer I disconnect the cable. I followed the wireless wizard setup on the printer and I connect to my wireless router. This is confirmed by an ip adress on the printer. Also in the menu of my router I find the ip adres of my printer in the DHCP clients list. So far so good. But from my PC I can not find the printer in my network. I also cant ping my printers ipadres. When I connect the UTP cable to my printer again, I can ping the ip of my printer.

However now only the old computer prints directly to the printer, the other laptops fail to print it says that the laptop has the EPSON printer as it's default printer yet when ever I try to print, an exclamation mark in yellow triangle appears on the icon, in the control panel>printer section. Troubleshoot does not fix the problem either. The other problem is I can't remember how this was set up as my dad did it, and he will kill me if I don't fix it back. Also the old computer is different to the laptops. Old computer has Windows XP, and the laptops are vista.

I was on the phone with Epson for over an hour and renetered my SSID and security code 4 times. They said it was something about the router not letting it connect. The printer sees the SSID and I put my laptop in the same location as the printer and it has very good signal strength. I even took the printer back and got another one. The router does not have MAC filtering enabled.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use an EPSON WF2530 printer over wifi from my laptop Everythings fine until the printer gets turned off and on and the router assigns a new (different) IP address via DHCP.
I can run:
sudo nmap -PR -sP 192.168.1.1/24
which returns a list of MAC addresses and IP addresses on the LAN and then manually set the printer properties to the new IP address or I can log into the WiFi router and inspect the DHCP table then do the same thing What I'd really like to be able to do is have Ubuntu handle this automatically, e.g. it queries the MAC addresses on the LAN, finds the printer, extracts the current IP address and sets the printer properties appropriately? have to check the printers IP address every time I want to use it.I don't want to go down the route of having a static IP table

I have tried to reset the router also but this had no effect. the units plugged in via wire are working ok it is just something to do with the wirless signal.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an old ASA 5505, and I'm having some trouble with Nat Hairpinning. I've done this with other firewalls before and I am having no luck now. I have an internal address that I wish to forward from an external address- so if someone goes to 123.456.789.012:3456 then it will forward to 192.168.1.244:92 (All numbers are arbitrary here- only for illustration). I have and Access Rule and NAT and PAT set up so that I can get in if I originate from outside the LAN. What I am trying to do is to have this work from inside the LAN as well- so that if I am at my desk, and I connect a device and type in 123.456.789.012:3456, it will deliver the content at 192.168.1.244:92. The problem I am having is that it just isn't working, and I cannot figure out why- When I started here, there was an address configured to work this way, and it still works- I just cannot find what is different between what I am doing and what the person who configured it did.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWe have an ADSL connection and use a D-Link DSL-320B modem. We have a D-Link DIR-120 router connected to this modem. This has worked perfectly fine up until today when we disconnected the router and connected a computer (call it A) directly to the modem because it was getting an unusable connection through the router for some reason. We later also performed a factory reset on the DIR-120 router.
Unfortunately, after the above steps the router did not receive any IP address (through DHCP) from the ADSL connection anymore. During my attempts to debug this I noticed that my laptop (call it B) didn't get any IP address either (when connected directly to the modem). I noticed the following syslog entries repeating over and over while trying to connect: [code]
At this point computer A could still get a connection just fine tho (when connected directly to the modem).
I then tried to change the MAC address of the router to an arbitrary one (a copy of computer B's MAC address but with the last digit increased by one). The router still did not get assigned any IP address. Finally I tried making the router clone the MAC address of a third computer (call it C). C has never been connected directly to the modem. Doing this worked. After cloning the MAC address of computer C the router is immediately assigned an IP address and the internet connection works as it did prior to all this.
Now, my question is, why would computer B and the original MAC address of the router not be able to get an IP address while two other computers worked just fine? Why would changing to an arbitrary MAC address not work while cloning the MAC address of another computer did? Could the router's MAC address have been blocked by the ISP for some reason (and what could cause this)?
but my situation seems more like a blacklisting of some MAC addresses rather then allowing just a single MAC address.
