I have a 7800N combined adsl2+ modem/router for about the last 3 months. About 2 days ago I came home from work to find the Wireless Network had dropped, although the green LED on the modem was still on. Since that time I have been unable to connect to the Wireless network, or even have the network appear on the list of connectable networks. I have two laptops a smartphone and the wireless network is not detected by any of these devices.
Nothing has changed with my WLAN setup, no settings were changed by me, no new devices recently connected. My main PC is connected by an ethernet cable and has not been affected, it remains connected to the internet at all times with no issues.
Things I have tried:
* Turning the router off/on
* Unplugging the router for 1 hour
* Changing Wireless Channels (Auto, 1,6,9,13)
* Disabled and Re-Enabled WLAN through modem settings page
* Changing ESSID Name
* Hiding ESSID then Re-Enabling ESSID
* Changing WPA2-PSK Passkey
* Isolating modem on phone line
and finally, Restoring to default settings, and starting all over again.
I live in a small apartment block and typically have 6-8 other low strength wireless networks in the list, and thought something may be conflicting with another device, however after changing channels 4 or 5 times I gave up on this thought.... None of the above resulted in the Wireless network being detected and displayed in a list of connectable networks. The wireless light remains on, and flashes periodically, but for all intents and purposes no Wireless Network seems to exist.

I recently came home from work to find the safety switch on our house had activated causing half of our house to be without power...including our modem. It wiped all my settings...no big deal...I've entered them all back in again. But now I am no longer able to establish a connection to my laptops... The Wireless WPS light will not come back on the router no matter how many times I turn it off/on or reset it... When I go into the page to establish properties etc for the modem...the WLAN option doesn't even appear anymore. but they were at a complete loss also as to why the option wasn't there..

my family kept having a problem with our Billion 6800n router. (or something like that).Basically we pinned the problem down to it not having the strength to keep several connections running through it. So we upgraded to a Billion 7800n and found it is much more stable and much faster.However it has been having a similar problem to our previous router.
Occasionally the internet light drops from green to orange, and we can't load any more pages until it has gone back to green.Here is a picture of what it looks like when in that status.But the weird thing is the connection bars on the windows toolbar at the bottom of the screen still show full strength.As shown here.Now I thought it might be because it was sharing a power board with other connections going through it,so I transferred it to a smaller two-plug one instead.

Model No.BiPAC 5200S, Firmware: v2.10.1.0(UEO.C2C)3.6.0.0The router was supplied by Tata Indicam nearly 7 years back. Now I tried to configure for Bsnl BroadbandConfiguration is completed as specified in the user manual without any hitchRestarted the system as directed. But rebooting is not fructified. The system did not respond. Hence closed. Later verified the diagnostics and found that the adsl synchronization is failed. I am not a qualified person to analyze the problem.

I recently picked up a Billion 7800N home router to replace my old netgear which was dropping signal alot.I seem to have develpoed a problem accessing my work network through the VPN client. I am able to connect the Cisco VPN client to the network ok but I don't have any access to the server and exchange email. I have tested the client settings on my old Netgear and it is working fine. This points me to the direction of the router....I don't have any packet filtering on and I have set up profile from my fixed internal home ip to the work ip to allow any protocol and any port.I have also port forwarded 500, 4500 and 10000UDP to my internal ip address.

My laptop is having trouble connecting to the internet. Some of the time it is fine, but at other times it will not connect to my home wireless network (or any other open ones I can find) despite the network being in full signal. The only advice offered by the troubleshooter is to reset the wireless router. This does work (but is very irritating to flatmates!) but doesn't prevent the problem recurring. Only my computer has an issue, and sometimes it will manage to connect to the internet by itself, seemingly spontaneously. The laptop is set to connect automatically, and when not working it also does sometimes attempt to connect, (i.e. it says 'connecting') but cuts out again before managing it. The problem can last for a few minutes or several hours.

I have to reset my wireless router multiple times per day. Seems to just be our two laptops that fail to connect periodically, not other devices (iPods/cell phones/Wii). Both laptops have Windows 7. Router was replaced 2 years ago (went from Belkin to D-Link DIR-655) and the D-Link started acting like this a few months ago and is getting worse. I updated firmware on router last week in hopes it would fix it.

I have comcast Triple HD cable internet and I have been using a low end 5 year old Linksys Router. I decided to upgrade and get the E3000. So far I have had no luck at all getting it to work. Setup fails to even connect at all. I spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support. There were in trying to get it up and running but we have been unable to get a TCP/IP number from my provider (comcast). I hooked up the old router to see if any of my settings looked unusual but they seemed normal.

I was just checking my router's firewall log and I noticed a couple of entries which appear somewhat suspicious, amongst all the 'normal' background radiation of (mainly) Russian and Chinese IPs: [code] The source IP for these 'attacks' is/was unused on my internal network.
My router is a Billion BiPAC 7800N running 1.06e firmware. There are a number of devices permanently connected to the internal network and a number which are connected at other times (e.g. desktops, laptops, mobile/cell phones, games consoles). Some are wired, some are wireless. Some have static IPs (none of which are listed in the above 'attacks'), some have dynamic IPs (assigned by DHCP by the router in a range not listed above). The WiFi is secured with a strong key on WPA/WPA2-PSK, AES (no WPS). Web Access Control for the router is disabled. Block WAN PING (and Block WAN (IPv6) PING) are both enabled.

I purchased two WUSB600N V2 wireless adapters recently and have had nothing but problems on an otherwise stable network where I have iPads, iPhones, Netbooks, media centres, wireless printers, Notebooks and other USB PC-based network devices working without problems.
The WUSB600Ns are connected to desktop PCs, running WIndows XP SP3. I have removed the Linksys Network Management software and use Microsoft's wireless network management software. I am running the latest drivers 1.4.10.0 for the cards. My WAP is a Belkin F5D-8236-4 running in WAP only mode. It is set to 40Mhz Channel 11 primary, Channel 7 secondary. Protected Mode is off, Broadcast SSID is on. I run WPA2-PSK AES for encryption. Note: I've tried all combinations of bandwidth and channel settings. I've run Netstumbler to find clear air channels - 11 seems best.
The issues are:
* seldomly connects at boot automatically without intervention.
* occasionally does not find WAP to connect to.
* sometimes will not connect to WAP - sits at "Acquiring Network Address".
* sometimes will not even get to Acquiring Network Address.
* Will often, once connected, after a while lose connection - the timeframe is inconsistent.
All of my other devices do not have these issues. I've been working on this issue for about a week trying to stabilise, even get a consistent failure pattern, but I'm about to send them both back.These are close to the most frustrating devices I've configured and I've got a lot of stuff on my network.

I have a new Linksys 1500 router which I am using to replace an older WRT54GS. They are connected to a wired router (BEFSR81) to allow a wireless network to work in conjunction with my wired one. The WRT54GS ran as an access point. The 1500 does not seem to have that option. I have successfully been able to set up the new router and use it with laptops, ipads, etc. Where I’m running into problems is with my Squeezebox. Although I can see the network and enter a passcode into the Squeezebox, it never connects (the light on the Squeezebox is green (acquiring IP address from network). It never gets beyond this point. I have tried: Disabling securityChanging mode from mixed to various optionsDisabling firewallsNothing seems to work

I have the WUSB600N wireless adapter, and I'm using it with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I'm using the latest driver available, 3.0.10.0. When Windows first starts, the adapter is not working properly and fails to connect to any networks, no matter how long I wait. If I unplug it and plug it back in after Windows is already running, I do not have this issue. This also does not occur when "restarting" the machine; only when turning the machine off and then back on.

I have just bought a TP-Link Wireless Access Point (TL-WA&01ND) and an ethernet switcher (TL-SF2005D).I have put the access point into client mode, allowing me to put it in my room and wirelessly connect to my router, allowing me to plug my PC in over ethernet and use the internet. However, after much fiddling with settings I cannot get it to work, as it continually searches for a network, and then fails to connect, despite the fact it is configured to use the network?I already have a similar setup with a netgear wireless G access point which works, and so I dont understand why the new box cannot do this when using what I believe to be the same settings.
Secondly I have an ethernet switch box which I bought to connect to the access point and switch the ethernet signal between my two PCs, my xbox and PC. This works fine with my primary PC (over my old access point) but when I try to connect my PC i get a DNS failure with auto IP settings and a gateway failure with manual settings, and other devices refuse to connect.

When I run an Intel diagnostic tool (Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility) I get a failure at the "association test". [Trying to figure out how to post a screen shot. I'll post it when I do.

I just built a new computer that will not connect to the internet, but only while using my wall port, and only this new computer, and only while connected through the router. Totally bizarre, right?I just built a new computer with a fresh install of Windows 7. I set it up directly connected to the router, where I applied all windows updates. I then moved it to where my old computer is, which uses a wall port to connect to the router in another room, where this new computer then fails to connect to the internet or to the router's setup. The new computer's Ethernet LEDs will light up, and the computer will automatically obtain an IP address, but will not connect to the internet or even the router setup.

I'm using Linksys WAG160N - ADSL Modem/Router on one Desktop with Linksys WUSB Adapter. This connection is working fine.Recently I decided to add another Desktop wirelessly to share network, files and internet access. The second desktop is located in another room (approx. dist. is 30 Ft.)The second desktop detects the Modem but it fails to connect and it shows limited or no connectivity.
1. Allow Internet Access to both the desktops without loosing connectivity or without comporomising on speed.
2. Allow file/disk haring of desktop 2 with desktop 1.

My laptop will work on a wired connction just fine, however it fails to pick up wireless internet signals. It will either not find the signal, or not connect to it unless I have my laptop wired with an ethernet cable. My network adapter is a Broadcom 802.11n. I have tried updating the driver, and multiple different routers/connections.(Yes the adapter is enabled to search for connections, it just doesnt find them unless I have it wired)

When I start my laptop, an Acer 7715Z, it will try to connect to the internet, but often fails.I then try it a few times manually. But the first 5 minutes I can try as often as I like but it will give a 'problem' popup, offering me a windows troubleshooter (which doesn't find the problem).I just have to try manually over and over again until it finally connects.Then my problems are over and I can internet without loosing connection. This doesn't only happen at home, but also when I'm at relatives. So my modem or ISP is not the problem. Also, my other equipment works just fine (mac, iphone, ipod, netbook).I've updated the Broadcom 802.11n adapter driver, run a virus/malware check, etc. but nothing works.The wireless lan adapter I assume basically works ok as it doesn't loose connection once I get online? Is there another setting I could check or optimise? I find it so strange. It's like the first 20-30 times trying to manually connect something is blocking it and once I get through I'm online without problems or losing connection. As I mentioned earlier, my other equipment go online almost immediately. Is there some windows setting that could block my manual attempts for a few times before letting me in? Could the broadcom adapter be faulty after all, even when after connecting it stays connected and problem free? Any control panel or other setting I could check first before sending it to be checked/repaired?

I'm running Windows 7. As stated in the title, once I see the screen blink, I know I have a few moments of connectivity left. The screen will continue to blink, then the wireless network connection icon goes red with an "x" through it. The computer continues to work (albeit with the screen blinking), but with no connection to the Internet. Checking Device Manager indicates no conflicts. Manually pressing the "wireless connectivity button" on this Compaq, which shows green=connected, only turns it red for a second, then back to green as if the adapter is enabled. Doing this prior to the blink-failure cuts the wireless connection as it should. I added iTunes about a month ago, the problem started about two weeks ago.
