View 2 Replies View RelatedThere are 6 computers in our home network. It happens every few months or so that router would not assign valid IP address to one of the computers. So, most of the time everything works well, but there comes a moment when one of the computers (but not others) can't get valid IP address. We try turning off and then on the router and it solves the problem most of the time. But, there are cases when turning off and on the router won't solve the problem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have cisco ap 500 series, it was lightweight, but we migrate it to standalone, now, the scheme is simple. We have a router 2811 and dhcp created on it, also we have f0/0.30 virtual interface with ip of 10.10.30.1.On switch one interface (trunk) goes to router f0/0 interface, and one interface (access) goes to ap.On AP we have BVI interface with 10.10.30.10, and default route to 10.10.30.1.So when we connecting to our SSID, it connect but doestn receive DHCP, and takes APIPA address, why ap doesnt assign ip to clients.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Surfboard Modem connected to a Netgear 24-port switch. I bought the WAP4410N to provide wireless connectivity from the switch.
All my PC's can get perfect connectivity via the switch but none of my wireless devices can connect at all.
Sometimes I can get 1 PC to connect but what's strange is I can view my networked folders and such but cannot access the internet.
I've upgraded the firmware to the latest May-2012. IPv4 and IPv6 are both set to automatic.
Region : Spain
Model : TD-W8961ND
Hardware Version : V3
Firmware Version : 3.0.0 Build 120524 Rel.05221
ISP :
linksys1.jpg
I have wifi at home this link installed.
192.168.1.1 is a TD-W8961ND
192.168.1.4 is a linksys wrtt54gl
And I have two problems.
1) I can not see any desktops in my local net, and with old router I could see all, for example (diskstation, dm800, etc...) In my macbook air I can not see my NAS Synology and with old router I do.
2) All PCs that are conected to 192.168.1.4 have not IP. and DHCP in TD-W8961ND is activated.
I have assigned a Static IP with other Linksys/Cisco wireless routers (WRT54G), but I can't seem to get the E4200 to assign a Static IP. My device is connected to Port 3, with that being the only port (besides my WAN) being occupied. When I enter the following and click Save Settings I get the following error: "Invalid Static Route!"I don't understand what I am doing wrong. This is the exact same as I have done on my WRT54G and it worked.
View 2 Replies View RelatedPossible to assign reslient WLCs to an OEAP 600?
The web GUI of the OEAP itself only has a single field to enter the address of a single controller.
But, I wonder if once the OEAP is talking to your WLC across the Internet, you can allocate HA settings to the OEAP so that it can fall back to a secondary WLC if your main WLC fails.
This is sort of hinted at in the docs I have read, but I have not been able to find it explicitly stated anywhere.
It would be nice to have 2 DMZ-based WLCs at two different data centres to allow remote users to have a fail-over solution, but I need to be sure that this is supported before implementing.
On my EA4500 i've given my Sony Google TV Box (connected by wifi N) a static ip address under "DHCP Reservations". However is there any way to add a DNS server address to this reserved IP so that only the Google Box is affected by the DNS, all the other connected devices remain unaffected? Presently i enter the required DNS address in the google box but i would prefer to do it on the EA4500. I'm using the latest Cisco Cloud fw on my router.

So that computer would always get 192.168.10.101 as the IP Address.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am tasked with configuring a 2504 wireless controller. Is it possible to assign an SSID to an interface that has dynamic ap management enabled?
Scenario:
Location1:
1) 10.0.0.0/24
2)192.168.0.0/24 DMZ
Location 2:
1) 10.0.5.0
Both locations are routable using network 1 at each location. However, I need to configure several access points and send them to location 2. These access points will communicate with the controller at location 1 on network 1. Two SSIDs will need to be on network 1 at location 1. The other SSID will be on Network 2 at location 1. This network is not routable.

In the troubleshooting page, IPv6 address is also empty. I tried resetting the router but had no difference. We have another router (ASUS RT-53N) and it works fine. The ISP is using PPPoE for IPv4. In RT-53N I choose "IPv6 with DHCP-PD" and Interface "PPP". There're no such options in EA2700 though.
