My wireless connection takes about 5 minutes to actually work once I reboot my windows computer. Once I start it, the wireless indicator in the bottom right corner of the screen shows that it is loading, but then freezes and doesn't let me use most applications on my computer. Then all of a sudden it will so a wireless signal and connection and everything works just fine. On the other hand, when I use the function key on my keyboard that turns off the wireless card before I restart my computer, the wireless stays off when I reboot. Then I turn it back on using the function keys and my wireless will connect automatically. Why is it that the wireless card/connection won't start up quickly if I just leave it on like people always do normally? Why is it that I have to toggle it on/off all the time for it to work connect quickly?

I have WAG-120N ADSL Modem+Router which I am using for the last two years. Recently It has started taking about 2-3 minutes to show any sign of life after it is powered on. When powered ON no light comes up until 2-3 minutes. Then Internet light goes red for about 2 seconds then power light goes on followed by all lights then it starts booting normally i.e. Power light stars blinking, WiFi light blinking, power light stabilizes, DSL light starts blinking, WiFi light stabilizes followed by DSL & Internet. When ON it works perfectly alright until switched off.

When I start-up my computer, it takes over an hour to find my router on my computer (Not on my brother's computer, or the computer upstairs). Once it does, it connect perfectly. This is very annoying because I do not have a lot of time anyway to work/play and when I do, it takes over an hour to find the router.Recently, I have been having HUGE lag spikes, constantly disconnecting from games and skype calls.

The TL-MR3220 takes a long time to identify the 3g modem and sometimes it will not identify it at all and says "unplugged". Sometimes "unplugged" suddenly apears after the modem has been identified and was working properly.Is this the normal behavior of this device ? Why ? What can be done ? I'm Using Alcatel X500D 3g modem.

We will be converting two 6500s to VSS. Each chassis has a Sup2T module, fwsm, 6908-10G blade, wism1 blades and two or three 6748-SFP blades. I was wondering how long the conversion process takes? If I remember correctly at the 2012 networkers lab it took maybe 10 minutes while using Sup720s. The instructor mentioned that with Sup2Ts it would convert a lot faster.

I have configured a portchannel with 3 ports - lacp active mode I want to pxe boot esx server with Hp Proliant DL 360 G7.
During Pxe Boot the physical Interfaces must be in (I) state - standalone.
The server receives via dhcp the ip but after getting the ip the link goes down for a short time and the switchport goes down and then in (w) state - waiting to be aggregated. Now the server tries to load via tftp the image but the server gets a timeout because the switchport is in state (w). It takes a long time til the switchport comes back in standalone mode (I).
Is it possible to modify the time how long the switchport is in the waiting to be aggregated state on 3750x ?
Would the right command be lacp rate-fast? But this command is not available on 3750x, only 6000 series.

I have installed an Aironet 1130AG and utilized a power injector for the power source. I have the settings configured correctly in IOS, but the AP takes about 7 minutes to come on (illuminate LED status lights) once the Ethernet cable is connected. Is this 7 minute power-on delay normal when using POE? I am used to the instanteous "on" that usually comes with Cisco products being connected directly to the AC adapter.

When I boot my system lately I have to fiddle with task manager to get things stable enough to connect to my network. This is getting very tiresome. I always find OdHost.exe taking almost all the CPU and have to kill it to get things running. This can't be normal and has not been until recently. I don't know of anything that has been installed in the last several months that is network related.

Is there a way to configure client/user to AP authentication without using encryption for joining to an wireless network? What we need to do here is protect network access at our hotspots by enforcing a password to get connected. The other part is making it compatible with every possible device so we need to have encryption off. We have a mixed environment at this time until everything is upgraded. Aironet 1200 series and some new Aironet 1142 models. No controller, all standand alone AP's

I would like to be able to have a few "guest" users on the Wireless network for visitors. Is there any method to have a prompt for "Username / password"? I would like the user accounts to have different expiry periods if this is possible. My current config is attached. The SSID "test" appears on the network. The SSID "test111" does not appear.

We had two dozen Aironet 1200 access points and a controller donated to us from a local hospital that no longer needed them. My boss would like me to set one up with 3 VLANs:
- encrypted VLAN for staff
- encrypted VLAN for students
- unencrypted VLAN for guests
Ultimately, we'd like the staff VLAN to have access to all internal network resources, the student VLAN to have access to several pre-defined printers, and the guest VLAN is web-only access. Whether the controller we were given will accommodate that, we won't know until we get one Aironet 1200 programmed and connected to the controller. For the time being, I just want to get this access point programmed with the 3 VLANs.
I'm easily able to get it running a single SSID (non-VLAN) network and confirm that I can use that network fine. However, I need to set up these 3 VLANs. I can connect to it via telnet if that'll let me program it faster.

I have some aironet 1200 AP's. I want to use this with a windows 2008 radius server. I followed the guide on [URL]. Unfortunately I can not get this working. In the securtiy log of the event viewer there is always the message "authenication was not succesful because an unknown username or incorrect password".
- Is it possible to get this working?
- If yes, is there a manual how to configure the AP's and the radius server, or are there any hints?
- Is this the best way to setup a wireless network or is there a better way?
I saw there is also a local radius server inside the 1200. Can all the 1200's work together? I suppose that if I use the built-in radius server than I can't make a connection to my AD database, correct?

I have a Cisco 1200 Series (AIR-AP1231G-A-K9) access point, I have been upgrading these models to lightweight mode but are having issues with one in particular, this access point keeps "rebooting" itself, I am assuming that the upgrade failed, how can I get the access point upgraded?
When I start to access the AP by typing "enable" and enter the password it starts resetting again.
I have reset the AP by the mode button, power option but still not working.
At this point I would even accept a fix to get it back to working condition. Here is a capture.

I have a office network that was setup before I started. We have a 172. subnet and a 10.2 subnet. When users on Wifi get a 10.2 address ( ran out of 172 address ) they are not able to get out to the internet. But if the laptop is connected to a LAN port and get a 10.2 address they are able to get to the Internet. Not sure if its the Aps I need to configure or the Pix seeing that if they get a LAN address of 10.2 everything works. This is becoming a bigger issue now that the company has out grown its main subnet (172.)
APs= AIR-AP1231G-A-K9
Vlan = 172.16.1.XXX
Vlan2= 10.2.0.XXX
Hardware: PIX-515E, 64 MB RAM, CPU Pentium II 433 MHz
