I'm configuring ASA 8.4 for SSLVPN allowing Web Portal access with group-url. I've noticed that if I put certain keywords after slash mark on group-url, client access would be denied by http 404 error.

I'd like to make exception keywords in the Access Control but I don't know how I could possibly do this. E.g. I have put in the keyword "apple" to be blocked, so if a domain has the keyword "apple" in it, it will be automatically blocked. What can I do, however, if I want to make an exception for the domain "appletree.com"? I haven't found any way to make an exception to specific domains or keywords.

The 2 XP computers can access each other. The 2 XP computers cannot access the VISTA. Access is denied. Firewalls are off on all computers. I've noticed entries in the log file - "Access Denied to LAN System with MAC address ______________" for 2 different MAC addresses. I do not recognize these MAC addresses. The entry that immediately follows these messages - "Above message repeated 466 times and 124 times. The entries for these 2 MAC addresses has been occurring multiple times with different repeat numbers over the past few days.
Is this an indication that someone nearby my router is attempting to hack into my wireless router or do I have a configuration issue?
i m working in a domain environment . for example my domain name is testdomain.com. i create a shared folder on it and give everyone a read control over it. then i create a folder in that shared folder with name of test. i also create a user with name test. i give full control to test user over test folder. now when i access the test folder from network with username test. i can read that folder but when i create the file or folder in the test folder it will show the following error..."unable to create a folder"new folder" access is denied.

I can share all the shared folders from the Desktop to the Laptop, but I can only share Media streaming on the Desktop from the Laptop, so I know there is a connection between the two computers. I am trying to troubleshoot a problem where in one of my remote site is not able to access some networks at HQ over Site to SIte VPN ( asa 5505 at Remote and 5520 at HQ). I ran packet tracer and HQ ASA looks clean as everything came out as ALLOW. Remote site ASA packet tracer give me DROP out at Phase 9 (VPN). I am not very sure what to look in ASA for resolution now. Is it an access list that is blocking the traffice or VPN setup.

After APs finished downgrading they were still up. When we moved the APs to another controller running 7.2.110.0 they would not come back up. Power was denied at the switch.

When I checked the vendor for this MAC, it shows Lexmark international inc, which fact make me feel something is wrong. when I try to access the router using Putty ssh, I get to the authentication screen but after entering uername and password (enable secrete and line password the same) i get access denied.

When I try to update the drivers that I downloaded from the linksys website I het an access denied error. I am logged in as the administrator. I have Dell Inspiron 15 3520 laptop bought in December 2012 with Windows 8 Pro. It was working fine until two days ago. I am unable to obtain DHCP lease either through wireless or wired network. View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a Cisco 2911 router and a Cisco 2960 switch at a remote location.I have a user who will work out of this office a few days out of the week and will need to obtain the same IP address everytime the user visits this office. This office has no file server, no dhcp server. I have the user's MAC address and for now, the user is getting an IP address that is leased for 30 days. I'm trying to find the best way to configure either the router or switch or both so that each time this user connects to this office, that user device will always pull the same IP address and of course no other device will use that IP.
I've did some research in creating a small vlan possibly, and assigning it specifically to the port# that the user's desk is at, but not sure if that's the best way or exactly sure how it'll work. I'm currently studying for my CCNA so this is all new to me and I'm trying to do research and test without obviously causing production issues especially given this is a remote site and I access these devices via putty. I can however drive to the site if needed for testing, but I'd like to have a good grasp on what method I'll be using that will work before I actually make the trip.
I wanted to know if you can setup reserved wireless IP address on the WRT54G router. With all the kids devices, when I reset the router, getting all the devices online is a challage. Some end up with duplicate IP address causing conflicts. If I could reserve an IP address for a specific device. Let me know what option the router has?

I thought this new router would be an upgrade to my old dlink but so far I get a new problem every day.I have reserved dhcp addresses for all the boxes and set up port triggering for the ports listed in several guides. But what else do I need to do? Is it likely I got a bad router?
