Cisco Wireless :: Aironet 1250 LWAPP To Autonomous Downgrade?
Aug 25, 2010upgraded my home AP from Autonomous to Lwapp. I was an Idiot and thought i was getting an IOS upgrade. I need to revert it back to autonomous and a simple "mode" button reset doesnt work. I read that I need to Reload original IOS software, but It appears I cant get it without a support contract. I cant afford servicenet and need to obtain old ios to revert to factory default 12.4(10b)JA1. Do I need a contract to roll back? Is there an archive (backup image) of the old IOS that could be still stored on the device. I didnt back it up and need to obtain the image.

Jun 11, 2013I have an Aironet 1250 AIR-LAP1252AG-A-K9 I am having issues with, and I am hoping for some direction on how to resolve them. I understand this question has been posted many times many different ways, but i have no luck unfortunately. Here is where I am: I can terminal into the AP, which has been set to factory default, with the username and password and enable password of Cisco. Once I am in the enable mode, I get lost.
Usually there would be an option to go to config. t, and work from there, but this AP does not have that option, Actually if I do a ? at the enable prompt, the commands list only starts with the letter C; but none are config.
I also cannot get into the web interface of the AP. The AP gets a DHCP IP from my DHCP server, (192.1681.128/24) but I cannot get into the web interface using the IP it gets from DHCP. The page never comes up. To add to the confusion, I cannot turn off the CLI event logging, although I enter the command "no debug all". Maybe I am off on what to put in. Nonetheless, it drives me crazy with messages every two seconds as I am trying to type while attempting to figure things out.
Overall, from reading the forums and doing Google searches, I am going on the assumption that the AP is now in lightweight mode, as opposed to autonomous mode, which is where I want it to be. I have tried the method of updating the firmware to the autonomous firmware from Jan 2013 for the AP. I use the TFTP method as I have found here on the forums a few times; I hold the mode button down while applying power to the AP, let the system LED turn red and release the button so the TFTP process can go through, but nothing changes.
I have the AP powered from a gigabit POE switch. The computer I am using for the TFTP is on the same sub net as the AP. I have tried using 10.0.0.6/24 for the computer with the TFTP on it, made sure the view all file extensions option was checked, and renamed the firmware to the .default extension-still nothing updates.
I also noticed that once I hold the mode button down for 20-30 seconds then let it go, the CLI output says the AP it is on the 10.0.0.x sub net, but I cannot ping the computer with the TFTP program on it. If i try to, it get a "Command not supported" message. So I will go on the idea that this is most likely why I cannot do a TFTP update.
About 30 seconds after I release the mode button and the AP boots, it will say it has a 10.0.0.x IP address, then it starts going crazy with messages that it cannot find a DHCP server.
Cisco Wireless :: Loading Autonomous Image On 1552E
Jan 28, 2013I've looked through the documentation for loading the autonomous image on a 1552E WAP that has the lightweight image on it. All the documentation I can find mentions using the "archive" command at the command line. It doesn't appear to like the archive command.
I've seen in the documentation that it also mentions the software is loadable through the controller, but I can't figure out how to do that.
I currently have the 1552E connected to my 5508 controllers running 7.3 software. how to load this autonomous image on to the 1552E? I'm planning on using it to do site surveys with the 1552E.

Sep 16, 2012a few day l have 3 AP Ligthweight 1250, today l was checking my infrastructure and l saw that these 3 AP can´t join to the controller, l reset the AP to the, and its can not join, l checked physicly the AP, and the Ethernet Led is in Amber permanent and the Radio Led is in Green permanet , i am searching the status led to find the fix but l have not found these convination led. and l can not access to the consolo port.

Oct 20, 2011I've just got a new AP 1250 series, and I was trying to configure the Radio for the 2.4Ghz spectrum using the interface dot11radio 0 and I've just noticed that this controller is not present so I cannot configure it so I wonder is it could be a HW problems as it looks to me or there is another way to enable this.
I never have an issue like this before so I want to first check with you before going back to our vendor.
Here is some of the details I get from the AP itself:

Mar 20, 2012I have a customer using 1250 AP with monopole antenna, he face frequent disconnection for voice clients during roaming. Phone is forced for reregistration to call manager during the hand off. Same customer has dipole antenna in a different floor with 1250 AP and there is no issue observed for voice clients.
Is this an issue with monopole antenna ? Which is the best antenna to recommend for Cisco APs or wht is the occasion I need to use a dipole or monopole antenna ? How to understand the difference between them.
Cisco Wireless :: Lost Web Access On Aironet 1250
Dec 29, 2012I can no longer open a http or https connection to the AP. I do have ssh access and I can log in with full privileges.
I was using the Web interface a few days ago and it did something strange during an update. The display of the web page became corrupted and no longer responded to my input.
I restarted it from an ssh session and I have also power cycled it via the power injector. Neither method has worked.
What should I do next or what additional info can I provide from an ssh shell?
Physical access is very difficult. It requires a 30' ladder after 10 p.m. So, I would like to avoid that if possible.

The error message on the GUI is that the 'Regulatory Domain' is not supported. This can be seen from the attached screenshot. Also relevant parts of the WLC configs are attached. I was asked to upgrade the software on the access point so I downloaded c1250-k9w8-tar.124-23c.JA5.tar and tried to upgrade it from IE9 browser window. I allowed the upgrade to run overnight. It ran for 900+ minutes before I unplugged the router. I know it said not to interrupt the upgrade, but it seemed like something was wrong.So, I have the access point conntected to my computer with a blue cable and it is also connected to the network. I tried running Hyperterminal hoping that I could set the ip address or otherwise connect to it.
The Hyperterminal printout gives me this:

Cisco :: 6500 / 1250 - NCS Implementations And Configuration / VSS
Mar 22, 2013I am new to the NCS implementations and configurations. I have one very specific case with Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.2 and autonomous APs and several issues with Cisco VSS on 6500 switches. So here is the version from Prime:

Well the issue what we have now is that access point has been added but its not recognized by the NCS prime. I have tried all three versions of SNMP but I get the same result. The SNMP configuration is valid since I use the same for my switching infrastructure. When I enter "debug snmp packets" and "terminal monitor" I can see the SNMP communication between Prime and Aironet 1250 which is standalone.
When I switch to Life cycle theme and go to Operate > Device Monitor Center I see all devices I have added. The Aironet 1250 is reachable but under collection status I get Managed with Warnings. When I hover over with my mouse I get "None available".
I have successfully added my switching infrastructure in total, which is operating perfectly for Catalyst 2960/3650/3750/4500 series but for 6500 under VSS I have some warnings. The device is recognized by the system which is excellent and all is operational. I get the following errors under Collection Status:

Cisco :: Integrate 1250 To Active Directory
Jan 5, 2011I have installed 4 unit Cisco Aironet 1250 acting as Autonomous AP each. I want to integrate these AP to Windows Active Directory for authentication level.
When I read configuration guide on Cisco Aironet, they must be authenticated via RADIUS server.
Is it possible that these AP directly authenticated to Active Directory via LDAP protocol?

Mar 7, 2012My wireless connection says i have full bars of signal. When I do a speed test, i get 500-600 kb/s download. Which is what I used to get. However, after I re-installed my wireless adapter's card, the wna3100 netgear, it became extremely slow.
Pages would load slow, I could no longer play League of Legends properly because the ping is too high. Also, I used to have crossfire graphics cards running and the internet was fine, but after reinstallation, I thought I'd turn it off because that's how I fixed it before. But now, even with just one graphics card running, the internet is extremely slow.

Cisco Wireless :: 5500 - Image Loading On Access Point?
May 20, 2012 I have a new WLC 5500 series which i upgraded to a newer version. We got brand new AP's 1242 from Cisco. My ex-colleague had said that we can pre-image the AP's using the controller, so the new AP's get the image directly from the Controllers.
I have the following devices with me for this: A WLC 5500, 1242 AP ( 12 No.'s) and a 2960 switch. I tried to create dhcp pool in wlc so the ap get the ip and gets the image . However, i cant see the ap appearing in wireless tab.
The WLC & AP will be connected to this same switch.
What configuration needs to be done on the WLC & the Switch so that the 1242 AP's when connected physically to the ports on the switch will get the image from the WLC.

Oct 23, 2012I just turned on 2 Wirelless LAN Controllers 5508 and I am getting this message on both of them:
Loading primary image (Image not found)
** Unable to read "linux.pri.img" from ide 0:2 **
Loading backup image (Image not found)
** Unable to read "linux.bak.img" from ide 0:2 **
And it is taking me to the BootMenu. I selected option 4 to Clear Configuration and the controller seems to restart the system but I still get the same error. I checked the LEDs status and Sys is Amber and Alarm is OFF which according to the documentation is a System Crash.

Dec 11, 2012I have a CT2504 at a customer site which does not load the captive portal page correctly nor will it load via HTTP as opposed to HTTPS.So for starters I did what I do with all my CT2504's (which work fine), I configured my Guest network to authenticate via the default captive portal. I then disabled HTTPS and SSH and enabled HTTP managment followed by rebooting the controller. On boot, logging into the WLC management GUI is automatically presented via HTTP as expected.However when clients access the Guest network they are redirected to the Web Authorisation via HTTPS instead of HTTP?In addtion to the above the captive portal page does not display correctly.The preview via the controller works fine, but the client is presented with a page with broken links to the images i.e. the blue strip at the top and the Cisco logo on the right.

Apr 27, 2007When I go to the router setup screen via 192.168.1.1 the screen does not load properly in MSIE or Firefox. Text does not load.The graphics load okay, and the dropdown boxes, checkboxes, etc. Since many of the links are from text, and all of the descriptions, it is impossible to navigate properly. I managed only by using Firefox's Page Info, Links tab and cutting & pasting. A couple of screen captures are available [URL] have downloaded the latest firmware, but while I can get to the Administration page, much less click on, the Upgrade Firmware sub-tab.
