D-Link DIR-601 :: Unable To Get WAN Admin Access?

Apr 13, 2012

Router is a DIR-601 hardware B with firmware 2.00NA Using the router connected to a cable modem, I was unable to gain admin access via WAN.To troubleshoot the problem, I connected the router to the LAN side of my main router (DHCP server, DNS, etc.) The primary router correctly assigns a WAN IP to the 601. The 601 operates normally to access the Internet either via its WiFi or via Ethernet. The 601 is configured for a different IP address range on its LAN side so there is no IP address conflict possible with my main router. On Tools->Administration, Enable Remote Management is checked, Remote Admin port is 1080 (I've tried others), and Remote Admin Inbound Filter is set to Allow. In this case the WAN IP address of the router is When I go to with a web browser from the WAN side, I get no response. From the same computer I can ping the router with "ping".I figure I have to be missing something here. It appears that this feature just is not there, but others must have this working. It seems like I've tried every possible combination of filters, port numbers, etc., but it just doesn't respond from the WAN side. ( on port 80 works just fine from the LAN side.)

Cisco Routers :: WRVS4400N - Unable To Access Admin Console

Jan 18, 2013

Although I hasten to point out that I have owned and used an 'IBM' type PC since 1988 and have always managed to get things configured correctly until NOW!
Apart from the last time I tried to use a Linksys product. I had the WRVS4400N recommended to us by a friend as we run a small FTP server to share promotional materials amongst sales operatives around the world, wanted to protect it from intrusion and was told that a Cisco Linksys product with a VPN was the way to go.
I duly purchased a WRVS440N and have been trying to log into the admin console via both browsers (IE9 and Google Chrome) that are installed on a laptop running Win7 which in turn is the only thing connected to the stated device via ethernet port 1... I have tried accessing it via and have even tried a suggestion from another forum to try - this only results in my being told that the address does not have a trusted certificate and I even tried every suggested workaround...
I have tried all kinds of reset periods from 10 seconds to a minute, both hot and cold and each time the result is the same - I type in 'admin' and 'admin' in the appropriate boxes and the dialogue box continues to return to the browser window with empty fields...
The shame is that I have managed to re-flash a BT Voyager 190 ethernet modem successfully with DynaLink v3.29a firmware (which allows it to be used with any ISP besides AOL [for whom this modem was solely intended]) and can set it up as a DHCP server, non-DHCP with a single link to another server or non-DHCP and no link.... The point is the modem works... I'm using it right now to type this! We have a single static IP from our ISP and the BT modem is working just fine (as is the TP-Link wireless modem/router that the WRVS4400N was intended to replace)... there are other options in it's firmware for port forwarding, etc and I'm convinced that it wil be adequate for use in conjunction with the WRVS4400N.
I have to concede that the WRVS4400N was not sold to us as NIB; it was sold as re-conditioned and was shipped to or via Ingram Micro Distribution from Cisco Systems, Veldweg 3, Herkenbosch 6075 NL (Holland) via UPS on or about the 31st of July, 2012... there is a shipping label on the original packaging that tells me that so it has in fact been back to Cisco at some point and for some reason.

D-Link DIR-601 - Access Modem Router As Admin?

Feb 26, 2013

I was trying to access the modem router as the admin but AT&T seems to have a pain in the butt security system from me making any changes. I wanted to forward some ports to setup my Synology DS212j Network Attached Storage (NAS). I connected my d-link router to the already setup modem router which I am now connected to. I have to run off to school but I was wondering, would I be able to forward the port off my d-link DIR-601 and be able to host my NAS server off that?

I don't have too much in-depth networking experience besides setting forwarding ports, setting static IPs, but I can't do that since I am not the admin for the AT&T router. I figure the password for the AT&T router is just defaulted to admin or blank but I haven't had time to fully test everything out.

D-Link DAP-1522 :: Can't Access Admin Screen After Connected

Nov 30, 2011

I have a Netgear WNDR3300 Dual-Band and is setup to use both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz to achieve 300 Mbps connection.

On the DAP-1522, I use IE (not Firefox or Chrome) for configuration as follow:
- IP address: STATIC
- Wireless config: using Wizard
- Wireless security: WPA2 / AES
- Mac Cloning: disabled

I tested this by connecting a Windows 7 desktop AND laptop via Ethernet cable and both laptop can obtain IP address dynamically, so my DAP-1522 is talking to the WNDR3300 (it has DHCP). Both Win 7 machines can also access the Internet. The problem is, I can NO LONGER access DAP-1522 admin screen, even by typing the static IP address assigned to it. The ONLY way I can re-access it is:

a). Reset DAP-1522

b). Shutdown the WNDR3300 wireless router, assign a static IP to the laptop, connect via cable to DAP-1522

I can't find anything that looks like it'll do that in any of the setup pages, is it possible? All previous wireless routers I've had have been able to do this.

Unable To Connect To Router Admin Panel At

Oct 18, 2012

I just got back from being gone for a couple weeks and my router stopped working. I tried to reset the router and connect to the admin screen at, but it gives a "page not found" error. My internet work with a wired connection to the router, and the computer's IP address is 66.xxx.xxx.xxx. Looking at most forums which talk about this problem it seems like most people have IP addresses starting with 192. Why does mine start with 66? Is this related to the problem of being unable to access the admin screen? This is a home network and I'm running Ubuntu and have a Linksys WRT54G router. I get the same IP address whether I connect just from the modem to the PC, or from modem to router to PC.

Cisco Switches :: Unable To Connect To / From Admin Module On SRW2024P

Oct 24, 2011

This is an odd one, possibly a broken unit but I have a SRW2024P which has been running for a couple of years all OK but some time ago I noticed I couldn't access the web interface. I decided to leave it until I actually needed to change something, which is now!
After much messing around modifying a null-modem cable to work (i.e. connected pins 2,3 and 5) I managed to connect to the console through HyperTerm. Did a full factory re-set and XMoDem'd the 1.2.9 software on again but still no luck.
I tried accessing the web console and telnet with the default IP and tried setting my own IP but can't even ping them.
There are a few other peculiarities: The units MAC address in the console is shown as 00-00-00-00-00-00The units hardware version is blank in the consoleBoth PING and TRACERT tests fail to any address except the units ownTFTP uploads fail to connect (the TFTP server doesn't even log an access attempt)All other clients connected to the switch are working fine and the port statuses in the console show working connections Basically; it is as if the web/config/admin 'module' is disconnected from the actual switch in some way?

D-Link DAP-1522 :: Unable To Access It

May 25, 2012

More that a year ago, with guidance from D-Link Customer Service, I performed setup on a system consisting of a DSL-2640B (with wireless disabled) and a DAP-1522 as an access point. I included the 1522 so as to have an N network, since the 2640 is G. The system works fine and I'm able to stream via the 1522 to an N 300 USB Adapter. Internet access is fine, and I'm able to access the 2640 with no problem.I want to add another 300 in a different location. To do that, I'll need to access the 1522 from my Windows 7 computer, since I've lost the passphrase that I'll need for the 300.Everything that I've read tells me to connect the 1522 directly to my computer via cable and to temporarily change the network adapter settinge to:

IP = 192.168.0.x         various sources list values of 2 and 99 for x
Subnet mask =
Gateway =

Then to use a browser window to go to Regardless of the settings that I use, the browser (IE9) always indicates that it can't connect with that address. accessing the 1522, or on any alternative way to obtain the passphrase.

D-Link DIR-655 :: Can't Get To Web GUI Admin Page

Oct 30, 2011

I followed this simple procedure to turn my DIR-655 into an access point: url...and it all worked except when I go to url... (which is where I left the router's IP address set) I don't get the DIR-655's admin login GUI, just a timeout.  Since my main Linksys router is on, and my cable modem is at, and the DHCP addresses handed out by the Linksys router is from to, getting to should not be a problem.  Functionally, the DIR-655 makes a great access point, wired and wireless are working very well, and I don't see any reason why I can't get to the web GUI admin page.I should be able to get to the DIR-655 router via the WAN port, as suggested in the procedure above, but I'd really really like to be able to get to it without having to connect a cable to the DIR-655 WAN port.

D-Link DIR-655 :: Unable To Access Web After Updating Firmware To 1.35NA

May 3, 2011

Few days ago, I updated the firmware of my router to 1.35NA and everything seemed to be working fine at first. After a while though, I noticed my Nexus One phone wasn't getting internet through WiFi anymore. It is connected to WiFi still, and it can ping the other devices on the network but it won't connect to the web. I have a Xoom tablet connected to WiFi as well and it is getting access to the web, though it seems to drop web access from time to time too, even before the firmware update. My phone always had a connection to the web through WiFi before the update. The two PCs that have a wired connection work fine. In the router logs, I also noticed that "UPnP renew entry <-> ... UDP timeout:0 'Teredo'" being spammed over and over since the update, which I read has something to do with IPv6?

D-Link DIR 655 :: Blocking Website Of Admin

Apr 5, 2011

I have a dir-655 a3 router that is blocking my website ip address.I could previously access this site until one day, without changing any router settings, it started blocking communication to my website. pings, tracerts, web browsers, everything simply times out. It resolves the IP address ok but doesn't go any further than that. I was on firmware 1.31 and have now upgraded to 1.35NA, but no luck. I have also tried resetting factory defaults to no avail. If i bypass the router and plug my computer straight into the modem, the site loads fine. so its definitely the router. I have tried this on a number of devices to make sure. It appears that for some reason the router is blocking that specific IP address as it is on a shared hosting and I can't access any other sites on the same IP address. Does the router check the IP address with any web service before returning the request?

D-Link DIR-655 :: Admin Interface Has Failed In Some Way

Jun 20, 2011

Bought a new DIR-655 Rev B a few weeks ago. It's web admin interface has failed in some way.  The device is still passing all user traffic in both directions, but attempts to connect to the admin interface with my web browser, from both the wired inside and the WAN outside fail.  I can telnet to the actual tcp port number that it's configured for and establish a connection, but I can't get any response from it.  At this point I'm expecting the only way I'm going to clear the condition is to power cycle the device when I get home from work.  It is to note I have the device configured for https for the admin interface.  Perhaps that's the more 'advanced' feature that's newer and is exhibiting some kind of bug, I wonder.  I'm running the latest firmware available from D-Link.

Can't Access Admin Page Through Router?

Jul 3, 2012

Moved into a new place, set up a connection. Server provider gives only one mac address, they set it on my router. They say that it should be working, make a restart and that's it. I did that but still no connection. Moreover, I cannot connect through the router at all and therefore cannot access router admin page to configure it either. Now what to do? Password for the router is correct. Even when I take down all the security, still I cannot connect. To be more specific, at first I could enter the router admin page, but since I didn't know how to configure it properly, I made some mistake. I think I choose setting "configure wireless network" and changed something there. After that I cannot access the admin page or connect through the router.

D-Link DCS Network Camera :: 920 - Changing Admin Password?

May 16, 2010

Im having some problems changing my admin password on my DCS920

I know the default login is Login: admin / Password: "blank"

So I go into maintence, and there's an option to change the password.

it lists:

old password

So I leave the old password blank and type in my new password in the following 2 spaces. I click apply and a window pops up asking me to enter username and password. I just enter admin and leave the password blank. I hit ok, and everything seems to update ok. So i log out, and try to log back in.

A window pops up asking me for my password. I type in admin for my username, and my new password, and it wont work

I type leaving the username blank, and type in new password... WONT WORK

I type admin, and new password again.. WONT WORK

I try password with first letter capital.. WONT WORK

I try password with ALL CAPS... WONT WORK..

Basically it wont let me log in as admin anymore. I figure I may have typed the password wrong the first time so I reset the camera and try the process again.. SAME PROBLEM.

Am I doing something wrong in changing my password ?

I dont wanna leave my default admin login as admin/"blank" , but when I try and change the password, it wont let me log in again as admin.
