View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had this printer for a while now and I was using it with a Aciontec DSL wifi modem. It connected just fine without any problems via the installation software and a usb cable to initalize. I just swtiched from DSL to a Cable setup. I am using a Motorola "surfboard" SBG901 with built in wifi. It came pre installed with a WPA PSK string. Every time I have tried to connect it would not accept the WPA PSK string and being a legit 8 -63 charcters. I messed around witht he Cable modem settings and eventually decided to turn off all proection for a second to see if I could connect. Sure enough I was able to connect. In my Cable modem settings I have WPA/WPA PSK/WPA 2/WPA2 PSK . When you select either WPA or WPA2 it greys out the WPA PSK and WPA2 PSK selections and vice versa. I am using WPA PSK currently. I tried to switch to WPA but the passcode section was greyed out and had some "radius key section". I am not too familar with network settings just the basics. I used the Dell Wireless connection utility and tried setting up a manual connection by putting in the ssid and what type of protection but it still would not accept the passcode as being a WPA.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron E1505 running windows xp. Also an HP Photosmart C6180 wireless printer. This happens every time I move. I get the computer on the network and the printer on the network but they don't talk. I can't ping the printer and I can't bring up the embedded web browser. I can print the network config page from the printer but can't print a test page from the computer.I've disabled my firewall. That hasn't worked. I've tried creating a port especially for that ip address. However I don't have the disk for the printer and when I had to select my product, it only showed the C6100 series BT. I don't know what BT means but I selected that. I don't know what that means but it still won't print. The printer shows up in my printer and faxes menu but when I ran the HP print diagnostic utility no printers were displayed.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a Dell V525w printer. Once I set it up, my computers can no longer access the internet! I have looked everywhere and cannot find an answer. The only way I can make the internet work again is to power down the printer, and reset the router. But, as soon as I turn the printer on, the internet conenction is lost again. This is very frustrating. I need to know how to fix this as soon as possible.I have a Netgear WNDR3700v3 wireless router. My computer is an Alienware X51.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new inspiron 15 laptop and also bought an all in one wireless printer. I have a iinet BOB lite modem. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the wireless printer, modem and laptop to tall to one another. Am I missing something or should it all work? The laptop has internet access. The laptop also shows the printer installed with a big green tick next to it but it says it is offline. At no point has a green light appeared on the printer to indicate any wireless connectivity to the modem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a v313w printer & cannot get it to connect wireless to my inspirion 1545 laptop (windows 7)During the wireless set-up, it gets to the third of the five stages ok. These are configuring printer, resetting printer & connecting to wireless network. It fails on Acquiring network address & communicating with the printer!
I have tried the following without any luck, uninstalling & re-installing, powering down cable modem/router, changing security settings on router from 64bit wep to 128 wep & WPA/PSK, dell expert taking control of my laptop & trying to connect (which resulted in Dell sending me a new printer because the expert seemed to think it maybe a faulty wireless card in the printer, this is not the case becuase the same problem occurs with the second printer dell have sent me!). I have downloaded & installed the latest drivers for this printer from the dell website & I've switched off my security (anti virus/firewall) when trying to install.
I am completely stuck as to what to try next, the printer works perfectly fine from the USB cable.
I,ve used a network for a number of years with no problems. I have databases on computer 1 and access them with computer 2. After installing a Cisco e2500 I can connect to the databases but after a short period of time I am disconnected. If I search my network computer 1 is not found. Waiting a few minutes the network will find computer 1 again. At about the same time my firewall software has started to show an attack from an 2 different IP's I don't recognize but its always one of those 2 IP's. I'm assuming the two problems are related. I,ve considered going into my firewall and allowing the unknown IP access, BUT who knows where that IP is coming from. I've checked the Cisco setup but couldn't find an IP address that matched the attacking IP address.

Got this setup fine when using the Linksys WRVS4400N (That is until it died on me, RIP circa 2 months ago). I’m getting nothing in the NPS logs, nothing when doing a PCAP at the radius server. It appears this router isn’t communicating to the NPS/Radius server.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm going to piggyback this thread since it pretty much describes my situation (Dell laptop Windows XP Professional). I had a pc, a laptop, and a wireless printer all working properly together. Printer stopped working for some reason. The solution at which I arrived was to remove the existing printer profile and add it fresh. That worked for the pc but not for the laptop. The laptop doesn't see it.

It worked fine with the old computer although I was using an external Blue tooth plug in. This nre laptop has builtin Blue tooth. The device mgr. shows a good install too.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell 2155CDN Multifunction printer that is hooked up through our network. But when using the scan feature, it is terribly slow, and I assume it has something to do with it scanning through the network port. Is it possible to leave the printer hooked up across the network, but also attach it to a computer via USB just for the scanner? Or would doing this confuse the printer not knowing which port to use for each feature?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded the installation data "R147095 Dell Wireless Printer Adaptor 3300 Installation Set-UP.exe". Saved that to a new CD and loaded it to my PC. I get through most of the setup wizard but always fail at the same point - The adapter will not connect to the network. All the usual checks are positive and the network key is correct and in the appropriate case. I have run Driver Detective and that confirms that the drivers for the adapter are up to date. The printer is not yet installed on the PC and the software for it has not been loaded.
I have tried this procedure again on a second PC where the printer had been used as a wired slave printer but have uninstalled the printer first. Same result - Adapter fails to connect to the network.
Router is a Billion Bipac 7800 n. I can get other "newer" devices to connect without problems but this "old" adaptor is proving stubborn.
I have a 2 year old v305w printer i want to use with my new imac and ipad. Its perfectly good and dont want to throw it out. Are there drivers available to make this compatible with air print on my ipad and imac?

View 4 Replies View RelatedTrying to print from a Dimension E521 using Dell AIO Center to a hard-wired networked 962 printer hosted on an Inspirion 530 using a LinkSys WRT54G V8 router. Cannot scan or fax from the Dimension via the network. During software install, the printer is not automatically detected on the network and it has to be manually assigned. Attempt to print test page via the network during software install results in a document in the print queue that hangs the printer with a print error. After the aborted test page, nothing works.
Using the VISTA Control Panel can successfully set up the printer and can print a test page to it. In this case, the printer install CAN see the printer on the network, so I don't think it is a network issue.
However, if the control panel is used to install the printer, the AIO center cannot find it at all and displays an error that software and drivers are not installed. Yes, Network and Sharing are all set up correctly and, no, the Firewall is not the problem as it is turned off on both machines.
Drivers are not the issue. I have deleted the drivers and reinstalled them so many times in the last week I can do it in my sleep.
here's the network.
Panasonic TV (DLNA Device) - Ethernet

Windows 7 PC - WLAN
Samsung Galaxy S3 - WLAN
The WDTV can act as a media player for both the Windows 7 PC and Samsung Galaxy S3.The TV can act as a media player for the Windows 8 PC.If I connect the Windows 7 PC via Ethernet, then the TV sees it and can act as a media player for it and the WDTV no longer can.The TV can't act as a media player for the Samsung Galaxy S3 nor can they see each other to use the Galaxy S3 as a wireless remote (Viera remote android app) .Why can my wireless devices talk to each other and my wired devices talk to each other, but the wireless devices can't talk to the wired devices?
I've got several devices (two laptops, Xbox, WiiU, Apple TV, 2 ipads, and an iphone) that can connect to my home wifi network just fine. However, when connected it seems these devices cannot communicate with one another.
Homesharing between my iphone/laptop and Apple TV is no longer functioning. Also, I can not sync my windows media player with my Xbox, and I can not connect my iphone to the Xbox using AirMusic.
Here's my hardware: Motorola SB5101U SURFboard modem, Netgear Wireless N WNR2000 router.
