View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an E2500 wireless N router that I recently bought to replace a cheapie netgear that I lent to family. The router is in the basement near a bunch of metal ducting and I live near a radio station, both of which I believe is killing my signal. Anyways, I was able to pick up a WAP54G wireless access point. I would like to use it as a wired repeater (hopefully to get the signal up into the upper levels of my house). Can I use the WAP54G with the E2500? I looked in the setup page when I was trying to set it up as a repeater, and it says it will only connect with another WAP54G or a WRT54G (linksys wireless g router).

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife just was using our 4200N router fine this morning. I went to try and use the internet and it was not working. I can connect my PC directly to the modem and works fine as I am typing on it now.
I upgraded to the latest firmware to see if that would fix it but it does not.
From what I can see, no matter how hard it tries, it won't grab an IPV4 or 6 IP address from my cable company. I am thinking the router just went bad on that side of the router. I hate paying for shipping back and forth when this router should of lasted as long as my old linksys that I have now and am using as a access repeater.
Is it possible to configure a E2500 as router and WAP54G as a repeater? I used to have a WRT54GS as router but it has broken and now I bought a E2500 to replace it.

A problem that I could not find a solution to is that the devices connected through Ethernet can't be viewed on Wireless, and vice versa.
