We want to avoid having to have a computer hard-wired in order to get internet throughout the house. what I need to do to make the router actually wireless?
My BOSS have a iPhone 3GS. He tells me that iPhone wireless connect to his home AP. Why he has to input password everyday whenever he first time wireless connects to WRT54G at office. I have the E4200. I have two networks, a 2.4 for internet, and a 5gHz for media. I want to have a wired connection to the 5gHz network as some of the media is on my PC. However, it seems I can only have a wired connection to the 2.4gHz network. Is there any way to do this?
I have an EA 2700 installed using a wired network. It is just one desktop computer and a VOIP box shared by my internet connection. I am quite new at wireless connectivity.I would like to add wireless devices, specifically a phone and a laptop, but I do not want ANY of the wireless devices to be able to access and make changes to the ROUTER or any other computers on the network. I do need to keep the network secure. How do I set the router and/or devices up to accomplish this?
I have been using the E3000 for quite a while. A problem that I could not find a solution to is that the devices connected through Ethernet can't be viewed on Wireless, and vice versa. This is especially annoying because I want to get access to my media servers over wireless, for obvious reasons, but even those are not viewable (and using IP addresses on portables is a pain in the back)
For some reason I can no longer make Wi-Fi calls with my E1200 router. I have checked with my ISP and T-mobil. They both tell me that everything on their respective ends is working correctly. The only piece of the equation is the router.
I want to use my WRT160n in my room to connect all my devices (Xbox, playstation 3, and 3 laptops) I hardwired the E3000 from the room downstairs thats connected to everything else.
My home web hosting used to work. But because of changing ISP from Verizon to TWC, TWC gave me a modem-router and I bought my own Linksys E2500 router. Both Verizon and TWC services I subscribed are Dynamic IP. I use a third party to redirect the web traffic to my home.TWC gave me a simple modem-router in a box. Input is coax and outputs are 4 ethernet ports. I use one of the 4 ethernet outputs of the TWC box to connect to the internet ethernet input port of the E2500. All my wire and wireless devices are now feeding off the E2500. All wireless and wired devices work and can browse internet through the E2500.I have assigned one computer as the web server and set the internal IP addess of this computer as 192.168.1.128. This is the same for the setup with Verizon before.I loaded the CD came with the E2500 router and can see the LAN 192.168.1.128.My problem starts from here, I do not know how to set the port in E2500 to make the web traffic to 192.168.1.1281. Using the E2500 CD, I click to "APPLICATION AND GAMING", then "SINGLE PORT FORWARDING". under the APPLICATION NAME, I select one of the box to HTTP and type in 128 under "TO IP ADDRESS". I then click ENABLED, then "save settings" . The 192.168.1 is fixed in this window, I can only type 128.This does not work. I can browse internet but cannot access my website from any machines using domain name. Then I tried:2. with item 1 above, I continued to do SETUP>>BASIC SETUP>>DHCP RESEVERSATION. I can see the compute/sever name and the 192.168.1.128. I then click the "select" and save the client.I restarted the computer/server, I unplug and plug the E2500 power. I check the server internal IP address and it is still the same. But I just cannot browse to my website. I can browse other places.
My WRT310n router, since yesterday, stopped working "normally".It was disconnected from the power plug in order to put it in another shelve and when I plugged it in, voilá, constant reboot.I keeps rebooting forever... I can't even make an ethernet connection. Reboot, after reboot. Tryied to make a reset with no luck, 5 seconds reset, 30s reset, pressing reset while plugging it in.Even with nothing connected to it (neither wireless nor lan), just the power plug and it keeps re booking one after another.
Having just installed the E1000 why have I got a public network address '####' which is security type WPA2 -PSK and also public network address '#### - Guest' which is security type - unsecured.Anyone can log onto either wireless network connection but only with the correct password. How do I remove the '####' address and also how do I make the '#### - Guest' address a secure one.
Is there any way to make networks hidden through the WiFi Smart software? I have a Cisco Linksys E4200V2. I have gone through everything to try figure out how to make my S.S.I.D. to not be broadcasted, but seems like the only way to make it hidden is to use the Origonal Firmware make it as hidden, then install the New Firmware and software. Seems like Cisco may have missed this option. I do know a lot of people would prefer their Networks hidden for a little security. I know it isn't much, cause if someone wants to get that info it's not hard to get it. But for people who don't know or don't want to waste all the time to find the Hidden Network name can be turned away, for going through that extra step.
How can I make a device or an IP go through a certain WAN? Basically I want to make the PC I use on the network go through WAN2, I have tried everything but I am really stumped on how to do this, my Firmware Version: v4.0.2.08-tm

I have a PC modem and recently purchase a netgear N600 wireless router. Do they make a splitter of some sort. So I can use both the PC and IPad? If they make a splitter?
I live in apt complex where the wireless Internet is built into the price. I want to connect a router to the wireless via the WAN port and then have my computers on a separate LAN than the rest of the apartment complex. Do they make a router that will take wireless in and out?
I have a Compaq mini CQ10-100 Netbook, and I am trying to Make a Wireless internet connection through a D-link router. My ISP is Cox Cable. The Netbook is connected to my wireless network, but will not connect to the internet. It keeps asking me to transfer information, via thumb drive, from a wireless access point, but my router is my wireless connector and it doesn't have a USB port to plug in a thumb drive. How do I get this netbook hooked up to the internet?
I have a new technicolor TG582n modem and the wifi signal doesn't reach to all the house. It's a big house, lots of concrete walls. I also have a Linksys WRT54G router and I'm wondering if it's possible to put the Linksys in the other area of the house and capture the signal from the Tompson. Then connect to that signal with my laptop. Maybe this will work to give me wifi in all areas.
I have DSL on my computer which runs windows 7, using verizon's Westell model 7500. My wife's desktop computer in another room runs windows XP. I purchased a new Linksys USB adapter model N600 which includes an installation disk for her computer.
