N450 Router And WAP- Same Channel Range Of Different?

I have my buffalo N450 router working great and have installed a Belkin 600HD as a wired WAP. Now I am trying to fine tune them to get the greatest coverage and throughput. What do you guys recommend in terms of channel selection. Should I try to cover different channels with each router or keep them the same? I have been using inSSIDer to try and watch the strength and width of various settings. It seems I get better strength (at least according to Windows 7) when I have the channels set the same.

It took a while of troubleshooting since I've never ran into this problem with my wireless router before. But finally I figured out that my router will not assign the proper DNS server addresses when assigning through DHCP. I upgraded from 2.10.02 and still the same issue.

I have a N450DB wireless N Router model number F9K1105 and I'm connected to the internet with an occasional interuption. The light on the front of the router is blinking orange and I have reset it and powered it down several times with no luck. According to my settings I have the newest firmware and all updates have been performed.

have purchased Belkin wifi usb adapter dualband N450 and downloaded the driver from included CD, my OS is windows7 starterfter I plug in the adapter, the power ON is litting and wait for a while if will flashing but not. I opened the "NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER" and click the "CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS", the Belkin wireless adapter is disabled and had tried enabling it but still it is disable. I uninstalled the driver and the program, I checked in the internet and downloaded the file F9L1101v1_N600.exe and installed. Checked again but still the same problem before, Disabled and tried enabling but to no success.

My Belkin N450 assigns a 192.168.169.2 for an IP address. This does not allow me to add to the DMZ to bypass firewall and open my NAT. It wants a 192.168.2.__. What do I need to do to make this happen?

Belkin N450 Router. I want to restrict Internet access completely but allow LAN access to a shared drive for a particular computer on my wireless network. I have gone into the web based set up page and under access controls have enabled and added this computer to the list. I have blocked http, https, ftp and nntp. I don't know if this is enough. The reason I am asking is that I am in Iraq right now and I want to allow my fellow team members access to the wireless for using viber on their iphones but one cat even though he has hardwired internet wants to continuously suck off my wireless for his computer to download stuff since I paid for faster internet. I am trying to do this quietly and still allow him access to the shared drives on the LAN. Sooooo If I block him just outright will he still have access to the drives or do I need to pick and choose like I did above and if I need to pick and choose did I miss anything other then pop3 email and imap?

This model is FK91105v1. It is great with our ten different devices (possibly even a dozen?), but it continues to disconnect a Kindle Fire - that used to connect with no problem - evidently upon acquisition of a newer Kindle Fire. As long as MAC Filtering is not enabled, then there shouldn't be an issue of a "white list" - which the Kindle manual suggests as a solution ("If ... filtering is enabled, ensure your Kindle's MAC address is added to your router's white list in your network settings"). (I did figure out how to go to the network address, but was mostly flumoxed from there)

Without my N 450 router hooked up I am getting hardwired speeds of 50/5 mb, but with N 450 hardwired into my PC the speeds drop to 20/5 mb. I have checked DHCP and I am not getting piggy backed. Is it a bottlekneck, misconfigured or just not compatible with Time Warner?

Yesterday, I installed the N450 DB and it was probably the easiest install I've ever had to do. One problem though, I can now no longer send or receive email thru Outlook Express 6. Keep getting this message 'The host 'mail' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'mail', Server: 'mail', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D'.

I have recently purchased an Xbox slim for my son which has a built in wireless adapter. Since he has had this he gets a poor connection on Xbox live, the previous Xbox had the external adaptor which worked fine but sold it thinking he would not need it with the new improved built in wi-fi.I have also tried my xbox in his room and there was no difference, so we know its not the Xbox, various other pieces of kit like boosters etc. I have a Netgear WNR 1000v2 and have not the foggiest idea how to change channels.

I have a new SMART T.V. I have no trouble hooking up wirelessly to my N300 router, I can get on the internet without any problem. Then I added a wireless speaker system, now the T.V. won't hook up to the router any more. I downloaded and installed inSSider for Windows and, under the 2.4 Ghz tab, I can clearly see the Router SSID, on Channel 6, exactly as configuredbin the Router. However on the 5 Ghz tab, nothing? I can see Channels 36, 40, 44, 48, 52 and so on BUT no trace of any wireless signal here?I carefully reviewed the wireless settings options and it is indeed enabled.

I am trying to figure out what channel my Linksys E4200 is CURRENTLY using (at the time I check it)I am having issues with occassionally losing my connection (mostly from the computer furthest from the router) and it may be caused by a cordless phone , in the room with that computer as I think the problem only occurs when on the phone in that room.So I am trying to determine what channel that it may be using at the time of the drops ...(so I can set it NOT to use that channel)I'm pretty sure it it something on the 5ghz (40mhz)side .but I don't really want to set the router to use 20mhz only as the speed greatly drops when on 20mhz only (i.e. 50mbps vs up to 200mbs when 5ghz is activated)
Checking my Router set up page, I see only what channels is CAN use, not what is currently being used.Is there anyway to identify what channel it is currently using so I can see if it is a specific channel causing the issue and not have to switch off 40mhz?

Any success with a recent vintage Macbook Pro connecting to the 5.8Ghz channel on a WRT610N. I can connect with the 2.4 channel without a problem but I cannot maintain a connection on the high channel. Linksys support told me that the hardware was not compatible with the high channel.

My E3000 has about 60% packet loss if the channel selected is anything other than 1. I can't enable 5GHz or even 40mhz 2.4GHz channels without dropping 60% packets.

I am working with a WRT320N for some weeks now, but I don't get the fact that 40Mhz channel width is only allowed for Automatic channel selection.I keep losing connection and the channel keeps changing.I want an option to change the channel manually (like in every good WLAN router!!), also with N data rate (40Mhz channel width).I know how to select the best channel, so why aren't I able to change it the way I like it?

Channel 1 & 2 Signal Collapse. Just recently purchased the E3200.
When I set the 2.4GHz band to Channel 1 or 2, the signal is unstable. According to WiFi Analyzer, the signal keeps appearing and disappearing every couple seconds.
But my neighbor's router that's on channel 1 or 2 remains stable, so it's not a problem with WiFi Analyzer.

What's the point for two options, auto or 20 mhz only? there is no third option so if you choose auto its still 20 mhz am i right?BTW i had to change channel width to 20 mhz only because under auto the speed was horrible.
