I'm trying to track associations on one of my AiroNets (AP1041N) using the show dot11 associations command, but it does not show anything! e.g.AP1#show dot11 associations allAP1#show dot11 associations all-clientAP1#show dot11 associationsAP1# Is there something I need to enable in the configuration to track associations like this?
We successfully use this oid on our Aironet 1240 series AP's to list the dot11 associations to the AP:1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.273.1.2.1.1.18 (cDot11ClientSubIfIndex).However, that oid does not work on our Aironet 1140 series AP's. Any equivalent oid?
For WLC 5508 software version 7.0.235.0, which command is needed to get the WLC send syslog messages everytime a wireless client associate and desassociate?
I am using a 1811W and CCP for configuration. I am trying to assign client names to devices on the LAN so that when a network scanner is used, the client name is displayed. I have attached part of the running config after a binding has been done. My assumption is that the scanner should now show 192.168.1.109 as name <Supermicro>, but the name is blank. Is this configured correctly for what I am trying to acheive?
My 3502i suddently shutdown it's Radio interface and when I connect to it, I cans ee that the interface is shutdown. So tryign to enable it but the "configure terminal" command is not available. Is there any hidden command to go the priveledge mode? ______________

I want to be able to send snmp traps to my NMS alerting our NOC to when we reach our configured max-associations on an ap. We currently use both 1130 AG and 1140-2N in autonomous mode, no controller. I have found a debug command "debug dot11 station connection failure" and the output of a test AP shows us the fact that the maximum number was reached. I need to find if it is possible to trap on such information.
I have a very special application where I need to connect as much as possible end devices to a single access point. The required data throughput per end device is very small - around 1 to 5 kbit/sec.I am using the Access Point Aironet 1242AG.
Questions :
1. What is the maximum number of simultaneous users that can be connected to a Cisco Access point, is it 255 or can be more ?
2. If I define multiple SSID’s, what if the total numbers of users that can be connected to a Cisco Access point
3. I there a simulator tool that can be used to simulate multiple wireless connections to an AP
4. Have anyone tested so many users connected to 1 Access point ?
I need to create a Cisco VPN Client connection: I am following the cisco vpn client link and I don't have the command crypto isakmep client configuration group XXXXX

This is what I get: crypto isakmp client configuration ? address-pool Set network address for client
This is my show version, if there is an IOS that will work:
Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-IK9S-M), Version 12.2(17a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) Copyright (c) 1986-2003 by cisco Systems, Inc.
We have a couple of smaller remote locations running cisco 1811W routers (built in switch ports & wireless). Now I have been tasked with determining if the wireless portion can be converted to Lightweight or not; if so what is required.
Need basic wireless configuration for a SOHO Cisco 1811W router? I just need the wireless to connect to the base wired LAN - with both WEP and MAC authentication. And - can the MAC auth. parameters be configured via CLI and not have to use either SDM or CP? I can access the router via SDM - but the Wirless Application will not fire up - and CP doesn't work at all.
is there a way to get traffic and client access/associations data with WCS for each AP of a centrally managed WLAN?I manage a campus WLAN with a 4402WLC (software version 6.0.188.0) and a WCS version 6.0.170.0 .WCS provides me detailed information on a client basis: I'm able to know the association history of each client currently connected, both which AP the client has connected to, and how much traffic the client has generated/ received for each connection.I hadn't find a way to get the same information on an AP basis. Namely, which clients have been connected, and how much traffic has been transmitted per time slot. I suppose this is just a matter of making a different query to the WCS database, since the data are the same used for providing the information on the client association and traffic history. Though, I haven't find a way on WCS to get this information.
I'm using aironet 1210, 1130, 1100, 1040 autonomous mode, in a University campus network with thousands of daily user. We're using RADIUS authentication and AES/WPA2.In the past, there were some major issues with traffic (broadcast / multicast) in the wireless networks, that would spread all around the campus causing excessive processing at the access-points.To solve the problem we decided to implement access list at the radio interface to drop all the unwanted traffic. [code]
I'm pretty sure this is caused by the ACL (I've tested removing the ACL and the issue never occurred) but I can't just get ride of it.
I have a Cisco 1811W that after several years in service suddenly stopped allowing any wireless connection to laptops on the domain. It allows hard wired connections and devices that are just using the wireless hot spot like iPads and Iphones but not devices on the domain. These same laptops connect wirelessly without issue at our other facilities which use the same hardware.
Here is the config file of the router in question...
router#show run Building configuration... Current configuration : 11776 bytes
Cisco 1811 device. Working great with connection from TWTELCOM, trying to add 2nd connection from BRTHOUSE set SLA's and metrics but config still isn't working. The connection won't come up and when I do show ip route ip address it doesn't show a metric so neither connection has a priority and the connection fails. I want brighthouse to have priority as shown with SLA's but if brighthouse fails I want it to go back to twtelcom. [code]
I am having a hard time connecting my router into a internet modem since my modem is giving its own private ip address in short the modem is a router in itself. in addition, I cant change the modem's dchp pool its fix with 192.168.1.0 network.
I am attempting to configure DDNS on an 1811W, but my configuration fails. Apparently,it is not connecting to the TZO server, because when I run <show ip ddns update> in telnet, the message "update destination not available, although rh.tzo.com can be pinged. I am attaching a copy of the config file. the ip name-server entries are my IP DNS, and the url/user name/ key entry was provided by TZO support.
I have an 1811w router and can not figure out how to access the settings of the router. I do not have a console port that I can use to access the settings that way so I want to know how to do it using the SDM. I thought I was following the directions but for some reason when I connect my computer to one of the routers LAN ports no connection is recognized on either the router or the computer. How do I go about connecting to the router and accessing the settings?
I have some problem to get working ACLs. The main purpose of this ACLs is to control what is going out from vlan to internet. (For example, i want that only my proxy can access to the web.) So, i use Cisco Packet Tracer and test new rules in lab without any problem.
interface Vlan1 ip address x.x.x.x x.x.x.x ip flow ingress ip flow egress ip nat inside [Code]...
But it doesn't work on my Cisco 1811w and i dont uderstand why and i'm not sure to have sufficient knowledge to aolve my problem by my own.
Using Cisco 1811W with IOS 15.1(4)M5. FE0 and FE1 are connected to the internet via Billion ADSL2+ modems operating in bridged mode. Both lines are similar so I'll only discuss FE0 from this point on.Local subnet is 192.168.128.0/24 with router on 192.168.128.1 as default gateway. Modem on FE0 has static LAN IP of 192.168.128.2 and when plugged into the switch on the LAN side, the web interface can be accessed at that IP address. Unplug the modem from the switch and plug it into FE0 and it now works as desired providing access from the router to the internet but the web interface is no longer accessable at 192.168.128.2
I tried adding a static route "ip route 192.168.128.2 255.255.255.255 FastEthernet 0" and also "ip route 192.168.128.2 255.255.255.255 Dialer 1" Neither worked and presumably it isn't that straight forward. Possibly NAT or other routing configuration required.Although there isn't much to configure when in bridged mode, I mostly want this setup so I can look at the ADSL connection status and for the modem to write messages to syslog (works when plugged into switch on LAN side), or SNMP access.
On 1811W Router i have OSPF running and i do not need this static route.ip route 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.20.3,when i try to delete i get error ,1811w#,config t,Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.,1811w(config)#no ip route 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.20.3,%No matching route to delete,1811w(config)#.
I have a setup involving 3 clustered AP541 running off a sg300 switch. The wireless network setup VAP has one entry for vlan 1 with station isolation disabled. Is there anything more I need to do to allow one wireless client to ping another wireless client - am I missing something - i assume this is possible.Needless to say wireless clients can ping non wireless clients and vice versa quite happily. Everything is running with factory default settings more or less.
i have a question about tunneling a software EasyVPN client to a client ASA Network. It looks like this:
EasyVPN Server 192.168.202.0/24 Network extension mode to Client EasyVPN ASA 192.168.1.0/24 This works fine in both directions. But now i want to connect the client ASA network via EasyVPN software client from outside. The user are already able to connect to the ASA Server on its static outside IP obtaining an IP from a 192.168.21.0/24 pool. This works fine. But how am i able to connect to the 192.168.1.0/24 network from this client?
how to make the java SSH thin client applet bigger in SSL VPN Clientless portal? It works and all that but the window is literally half the size of the monitor and unworkable. You can't even hit tab! (tab moves focus around the browser...)I am using the latest java applet (Oct 2012) and ASA OS 8.4(5)
Do the problem caused by the modems itself or it just sign of faulty Ethernet switch (using 20 port Allied Telesis ethernet switch). Sometimes I cannot connect to internet due to "unidentified network" buy i can resolve this problem by restarting my modem + switch.
I'm configuring AIR-CAP2602I-E-K9 out of the box, literally, and I want to configure it with a static address. I paste in the following commands. [code]After the host name line is pasted in I get "ERROR!!! Command is disabled" but the rest of the commands are accepted. I do a sh capwap ip config and the get the output below which looks like that config has been taken but why not my hostname? [code] I know or hoping that the APs will contact the wireless controller since I've the ip in there for it. It just means I'll be renaming all the APs, all 18 of them!
