View 1 RepliesWhen I start up my computer I cannot get an Internet connection. To get a connection I have to go into Control Panel, open Device Manager, click on Network adapters, which opens Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. I uninstall the Controller, restart and I then get an Internet connection. The Realtek controller then re-installs itself. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium operating system on my desktop. I am wired through a Dynalink RTA 1320 Rev 2 ADSL2+ Modem Router (provided and checked by my ISP). I have a Netgear Wireless N Router WNR 2000 for wireless connection to my laptop which has a Vista operating system. I have no connectivity problems to the laptop. I have had the connections checked by my ISP and the Netgear router by Netgear. They have both confirmed that there is connectivity to the desk top and the laptop and that the connections are working. Both have said that there is an issue with the operating system. I have got all the latest drivers installed and I get the message "Best driver software for your device is already installed".

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed the X2000 and managed to get my Win7 Home Premium to connected to the Internet and also one wireless device. I previously had just a modem. Sometimes, when my PC is up and running, I want to disconnect it from the Internet and later connect again. There is an icon on the lower right of my toolbar which, with my old modem, allowed me to connect and disconnect but it seems to know only about the old modem. Basically it operated by starting the sequence: All Control Panel Items>Network Connections>Broadband Connection. Now this function does work; it tries to connect (through "WAN Miniport (PPPOE)") and gets "Error 651: The modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error". Can you tell me what where is the program that seems to start the Internet connection for the X2000 and if I can change parameters for the Win7 "Broadband Connection" to use the X2000? Perhaps the parameter "Connect on Demand" in the "Basic Setup" of the X2000 is involved?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy internet connection setup is: PC -> Trendnet 632 BRP wi-fi router (via Ethernet cable) - > D-Link DSL-2520U modem (via Ethernet cable, PPPoE) -> Internet. I have other devices connected to my Trendnet router via Wi-Fi connection (Notebook, PS3, XBOX, iPhone).My ISP gave me two DNS servers wich I have entered in my Trendnet. But when I look at the DNS tab in my D-Link I see two different DNS servers witch is not the same I entered in Trendnet.hey was set automatically when I created new DSL connection. I've also tried to leave the DNS adress tab as it was by default (0.0.0.0) in Trendnet router and after that my network still works normal. And when I look at the WAN status tab in Trendnet settings the DNS servers is set automatically to 192.168.1.1.So I have 3 questions for you:1) Do I really need to enter those DNS servers that my ISP gave me or I can just leave it to DHCP to manage them?2) If I have entered ISP's DNS servers in Trendnet then witch DNS servers is actually I'm using the ones my ISP gave me or the ones that my D-Link have picked automatically?

For some reason, my new laptop would not connect to the internet even though I am connected to the router. I have another laptop which is a hp G42-410us notebook pc but it connects perfectly. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have Comcast cable internet routed through a linksys E3000 router. My desktop is connected to my router via ethernet and my various other devices including my laptop are wifi connected. It seems almost at random that my desktop will lose its connection.Windows will show me as still being connected and my network connection will show a normal status until I atttempt to repair it then it will change to limited or no connectivity. Through all of this, my other devices all still have a wifi signal (I don't use more than 1 or 2 at the same time). I can reconnect to the internet by unplugging my ethernet cable then reuplugging it back in and my connection will start working again. I've also had several blue screens, and when I checked the dmp files it revealed my network card driver as the culprit, yet I have reinstalled and even clean installed the microsoft signed driver. I have also attempted to reboot both my modem and router to no avail.

As of last night my router has been producing slow connectivity when multiple users are connected to it, but it's perfectly fine when only one user is connected. I am on a laptop myself, but we also have a second laptop and a desktop where the modem and router are set up. I have upgraded the firmware so that is up to date. We have Comcast Fiber Optics so my internet speed is normally quite fast even when all of my computers are connected.
I am using DHCP Configuration. My Channel Width is set to 20 MHz and I am using Channel 11. The Security Mode is set to WPA Personal. I had it on WPA2 Personal but I read that changing to WPA Personal might work and so far it doesn't seem to have done anything. I set the Beacon Interval to 50, Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, and RTS Threshold to 2304. Everything else is set to the default factory configuration.
Just today I received a notice that said "Windows has detected an IP Address Conflict", but ever since I reinstalled the Firmware it hasn't come back. I've rebooted both my laptop and the desktop to confirm it hasn't come back as well. I've tried everything that I could think of including reconfiguring my router and restarting my modem as well.
I have experienced some strange behavior of WiFi connection using WRT320N router. ISP provides me the internet in 2 modes (day and night). During day mode max speed is 24 Mb/s and during night 60 MB/s. Modem ADSL (Cisco EPC3010) is connected to Linksys WRT320N and on router is configured WiFi.Now issue. In the day mode everything is perfect. Cable connection gives me 24 MB/s and WiFi connection around 22 MB/s so not so bad. However when my internet speeds up to 60 Mb/s (cable connection via router gives exactly 60), WiFi connection instead speed up as well, just drop to max 17 Mb/s. I have tied several different settings on the router including changes in WiFi band, channel width, different channels (now channel is setup to 1 which is maybe not totally free but no so occupied) and others but unfortunately without significant improvement (in many cases connection just slowed down more).

Wireless adaptor: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 (I know that this doesn’t mean anything but Win7 shows that connection is established with speed 144MB/s)Router firmware and WiFi card updated to the newest version.
I have a very annoying problem with my Linksys WRT54G2.When I connect a wireless device (laptop, phone, TV, Ipad) to my wireless network I only see a Local connection, no connection to internet. After resetting the router (power off for several seconds) the internet-connection is available again.I have to do this every 1 - 2 days.

At first all was well, then a few months ago i noticed (upon star-up) that the network adapter was not connecting to my Belkin router? The Network & sharing centre tells me that it is connected, although the icon on the bottom toolbar shows a yellow triangle & reads No Internet connection? Whether it be downloading or just trying to watch a video on youtube. For some reason everytime I try to download something it appears to start fast but then it basically just stops. I'm running windows Vista and I've tried going into the router security settings and unchecking Block Anonymous Internet Requests.
I recently acquired an E4200 Linksys router.Is it possible to connect to it using telnet (from LAN)? For example I would like to start a ping command directly from the router.I tried to telnet using command line shell from Windows and it failed to connect on port 23.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI made a big mistake and updated my EA6500 with the wrong firmware.I selected "ver.1.1.38.149770" which I shouldn't have done since it's for the the EA6700 which i read aftwerwards....how stupid can one be Anyway, the device is not started up as it should.I'm able to use it as a cabled router but it's not sending out any wireless signal and the led light is blinking.A factory reset obviously didn't work since the firmware was wrong.So, my question is if it's possible to revert to an older firmware using the USB port?Or for example push a firmware using an ADB command if it's possible to connect using a cable?Or in some other way?

The computer will say "Connected, No Internet Access" In order to fix it I have to unplug the router and then plug it back in. This happens to any computer that tries to get online from a cold start-up. The router must always be unplugged, then plugged back in, then it will have internet access (and will generally maintain it throughout the session and even if the computer is restarted, i.e. warm boot). I have downloaded the latest firmware uprade.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe route is connected to that. Wirelessly, there are two laptops and sometimes an iPad and sometimes a Wii. Verizon DSL. I barely use my laptop during the week, but did notice some connection issues maybe Thursday and Friday nights. All day yesterday and today, as well. I will have a connection for maybe 5 minutes and then get errors loading webpages (and/or videos stopped). I will repair the connection and it will say everything is fine but it will not work, repair again or disconnect/reconnect(sometimes, several times) and then it works for 5 minutes or 20 minutes before the same thing happens. The other laptop is having the same problems. What I have tried so far: restarting the PC, both laptops, the router, and the modem. Resetting the modem. I have not moved any furniture or anything that would cause interference. I am worried because I have been trying to make more money and started at this site called Treasure Trooper which seemed okay-surveys and the like. There were a few pay-to-download things I downloaded but did not run. Avira found a trojan and I deleted it (not sure if the two are related, but I can not think of anything else I have downloaded or installed in the past month or so).The old PC is off; the Wii is on but probably only maintains a small connection. The iPad and other laptop are not mine, but if either is on, they probably have little to no activity right now since the user is away.

Modem catching correct ip but no internet connection.modem catches correct ip address n other things, it shows connected to home network (i.e hathway) and internet access is allowed but browser display error 'webpage is not available' (same result for login page of ISP). View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having 3 desktop computers. Out of these three, one PC (PC1, windows7) is connected to internet modem and other two (PC2 with XP,PC3 with XP) are sharing internet connection.
In PC1 I've installed Hamachi Logme In (virtual network). This software also creates one "Hamachi Network Interface" in "Network connections".The Problem is that each time I start/reboot PC1, I get connected to other 2 PCs but can't share internet connection, until I toggle (enable/disable) the state of "Hamachi Network Interface"
(PC1 is at some distance with PC2 and PC3, and each time I need to remotely login to PC1 and toggle Hamachi network in order to access internet).
a couple of days ago we lost our connection for a few hours, but I wasn't really concerned as it happens from time to time, but on my computer it never returned. I can connect to the network but I am not able to reach my router management page nor do i have any real connection. All the other (several) devices work perfectly in the house. Also if I use my phone's USB tethering I do actually have connection (although pretty slow). I've ran Spybot S&D and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware but neither of them showed anything of relevance as far as I am concerned. It doesn't work in safe mode either.
I use a TP-Link TL-WR1043 router and a TL-WN722N as the receiver.
I got a used computer from my relatives. When i enable my local area connection then it says aqcuiring ip adress for a while. Eventually it stops trying and says network cable unplugged. It worked fine at my relatives place, but not at my place.
View 14 Replies View Relatedno matter what device is used to connect to our Linksys WRY54G v2.0 Router, whether it be CAT6, internal wireless card (Intel Wireless LAN (802.11a/b/g/n), or USB wireless card (Linksys AE1000), she drops connections at random and frequent times and has to disconnect the device and reconnect to get internet back. She is still connected to the network though. The issue has been becoming more and more frequent the past few days and has been ongoing for a few months. We are at wits end with the issue. I looked on Linksys' website for updated firmware for the router AND the AE1000, no new firmware and same driver that is installed for the AE1000. We have tried to enable Multimedia Environment, Disable 802.11, unchecked "Automatically turn off device to save power", changed router channels from 6 to 1, have uninstalled ALL third party firewalls and AV/Spyware/Malware/Adware removal programs (but not before scanning the system), and lastly tried the DHCP Braodcast Flag Fix.
