Wireless Adapter Not Connecting To Router On Start-up?
Jul 3, 2011
I have a Toshiba Equium A200,(from new some time back) however, i have had it updated with new 500mb drive etc! I also some time back installed Windows 7 home. At first all was well, then a few months ago i noticed (upon star-up) that the network adapter was not connecting to my Belkin router? The Network & sharing centre tells me that it is connected, although the icon on the bottom toolbar shows a yellow triangle & reads No Internet connection? I have to go through the same process evrytime to get connected, which usually takes approx. 5 mins That is to follow the Network/share centre's troublshooting? I have updated the adapter Driver, yet still the problem exists?
This only started to happen recently. when I log into windows, it creates a big fuss about connecting to my router...It takes a good 5 minutes of plugging and unplugging my adapter and restarting my router.
I have just upgraded my pc with a new motherboard and am trying to get it online however when I try to install my D-link router I get "get adaptersinfo failed." I checked device manager and the network adapter says "this device cannot start. (code10) I have been trying really hard to find the driver updates I need but have only come across broken links and false downloads. In device manager It is called Realtek RTL8168/8111 Family PCI-E Ethernet Nic (NDIS 6.0)If i use hardware helper to see the driver that needs updating it is called Realtek GbE & FE Ethernet PCI-E NIC Drivers.
Trying to connect my Dell Dimension E310 to my Linksys WRT54GS with a TRENDnet wireless N USB adapter. It sees the router, it connects, I show strong signal strength, but get a "limited connection or no connection" error back from the router...can't get on the Internet. If I use an Ethernet wire and connect it to the router, it can set up a wireless connection with the machine, I can unhook the hardwire, and I'm good to go. But every time I reboot, it won't connect unless I set it up with the hardwire first. Impractical. All other devices attached to the router are fine and connected to the Internet. How can I get the router to maintain the settings for this new connection so it will connect wirelessly when I reboot?
WRT610v2 running latest firmware.xbox 360 sees both the 2.4 network (ssid = network1) and the 5.0 network (ssid network2) when it does its scan.Initially, xbox showed network strength for 2.4 network at 3 out of 4 bars and 5.0 network at 1 out of 4 bars.Connects to 2.4 network just fineWon't pull an ip address and reports "Not connected" when I select the 5.0 network.I tweaked the wireless settings per some suggestions I found in this forum and now it shows the 5.0 network at 4 out of 4 bars signal strength. Also turned security on and off and xbox 360 reported the changes in security on the 5.0 network. So the xbox 360 is definitely seening the 5.0 network. and can tell if it is running WPA2 or not..If it can see the 5.0 network and recognizes what security and network type (infrastructure) is set, would would stop it from connecting to the WRT610n router and getting an IP address? No mac filters or firewalls are set and, again, connects just fine and gets an ip address if I select the 2.4 (network1 ssid) instead.
i have a external usb adapter having a detachable antena connecting with the router thorgh wire and is on the roof.. so i can't move it.. its providing me internet. i want to access internet in my home wirelessly. my usb adapter is having a usb port.can i connect this wirelss adapter having male usb port with the wireless router having female usb port in it.. to share the internet at home.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 that suddenly has an issue with Wireless Networking. When I try and troubleshoot it shows me that the Broadcom 802.11 Multiband Network Adapter has a Code 10 error and says the "device cannot start." I have tried uninstalling and updating the driver, but it just continues to tell me that it has the best driver every-time I try and update it.If I plug the laptop in to the router with a wired connection it works just fine, so it is obviously an issue with the wireless adapter.what I should do in order to get this to take a new driver so it works again?
I got this wireless Linksys ae1000 adapter about 3 weeks ago on amazon and it worked fine for 2 weeks by connecting to the Internet and it had excellent connection then it stopped detecting my network. I tried updating it with the Cd and it said it was up to date. The computer is a Compaq presario and is about 14 years old. I looked in device manager and there were no? s or !s in adapters.
I have TPNW721N wireless network adapter on my Compaq Presario sr1520nx. I am using latest driver. I am using Windows XP. Using Windows Zero Wireless. When I connect I get a red X under the red and side of wireless connect icon on system tray.

I'm trying to connect to the internet on another PC (on my desktop, not this laptop I'm sending this request on). I know my network is working OK, because I'm on it now (on my laptop), but the Realtek adapter is not connecting on my destop PC.
For quite some time my linksys wireless g notebook adapter hasn't been connecting to the Internet at all. I go to my Internet options and my house's Internet router doesn't show up. I remember a long time ago I was clearing space on my computer because its and old one and it runs slow Because I don't have much memory and I might have accidently deleted the linksis progam / installation. And I have no way of re-intalling it. I think the only way of re-installing it is using the linkage disc but I lost it in some boxes packed in storage.
My laptop is an ACER Aspire 4750z. I installed Ubuntu version 12 for a change, then I got fed up with it and installed Windows 7 back. Before installing Ubuntu my wireless network adapter used to connect to wifi, now after reinstalling windows 7 it wont connect to WiFi. The wireless icon in the task bar shows the available wifi but it doesn't connect. My wireless network adapter is Atheros AR5B97
I've installed a Trendnet TEW-694UB wireless adaptor on my laptop and am trying to connect to my home network. I get a message "Acquiring network address" but it never connects.
I recently acquired an E4200 Linksys router. Is it possible to connect to it using telnet (from LAN)? For example I would like to start a ping command directly from the router.I tried to telnet using command line shell from Windows and it failed to connect on port 23.
Is there a way to put the .EXE program in the start connection in Wireless Router WRT54G ?
or a .ASPX page when start the connection ? I want to do it:
I want to control the time that the users used the internet in the hotel. The users had the login and the password which one. And I want stop the connection when the user get the time.
I made a big mistake and updated my EA6500 with the wrong firmware.I selected "ver.1.1.38.149770" which I shouldn't have done since it's for the the EA6700 which i read aftwerwards....how stupid can one be Anyway, the device is not started up as it should.I'm able to use it as a cabled router but it's not sending out any wireless signal and the led light is blinking.A factory reset obviously didn't work since the firmware was wrong. So, my question is if it's possible to revert to an older firmware using the USB port?Or for example push a firmware using an ADB command if it's possible to connect using a cable?Or in some other way?
My WRT54G2 v1 does not automatically connect to the internet on computer start-up. The computer will say "Connected, No Internet Access" In order to fix it I have to unplug the router and then plug it back in. This happens to any computer that tries to get online from a cold start-up. The router must always be unplugged, then plugged back in, then it will have internet access (and will generally maintain it throughout the session and even if the computer is restarted, i.e. warm boot). I have downloaded the latest firmware uprade.
its possible to connect to the internet via usb adapter to my laptop, then connect an access point to my laptop so my ps3 can connect wireless?.....the reason i ask is my connection is on the 3rd floor, which cannot be moved, while my ps3 is in the basement and barely has a signal and keeps logging out out of psn....
Basically I bought two ethernet adapters from amazon and have connected them up properly to the router and my laptop through my homes plugs. For some reason my laptop cannot pick up any internet signal from them displaying 'no network access'. When I've run the troubleshoot it occasionally will say that the IP address is not valid. I've tried a variety of different settings but cannot seem to get it to work.
I have an HP Pavilion desktop computer running Windows XP Home Edition. It used to never get internet wirelessly for some reason until one day i played around with it. I don't remember how but I got it to go online and it worked ever since. Just recently i have moved from my previous home and have finished setting up both of our computers. The Vista (the one i am using to write this) is an Ethernet connection and is having no problem connecting to the internet. Although, the XP for some reason will not connect to the internet. The adapter will find the network but when i type in the WPA2 it tries to connect but i think it times out or something. I have tried several solutions and none have worked. My father has a Toshiba laptop and he is currently having no issue with connectiong wirelessly to the internet. Our old verizon router stopped working when we attempted to set it up after the move, so verizon came and istalled a new one. It is secured with a WPA2 code whereas our older one was secured with a WEP code. I think it might be a problem with either the router or the wireless adapter itself (which is a Linksys Wireless-B Network Adapter). Also, when i logged into my router manager thing, I noticed that under the network, it said the XP was an inactive Ethernet Connection and not Wireless.
Here are some of the XP's specs: Hewlett-Packard Pavilion Intel[R] Pentium[R] 4 CPU 3.40 GHz 0.99 Gb of Ram
I will be purchasing the AV200 powerline kit from Tp-link and want to know whether there will be any issues in connected them through either a power strip or double adapter?
I am using Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5895, with Windows 7 Home Premium. My laptop has been running beautifully since I updated from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium in Fall 2009. However, today the laptop has not been connecting to the wi-fi. It could not read the Atheros wireless card built into the laptop, and the all the network settings showed was the Ethernet adapter (realtek). I tried restarting and shutting down the laptop but it still did not read the wireless card (though the wireless light on the laptop was on, indicating that the wireless is on).
Then, after 4 hours of leaving the laptop shut down, the wireless started again. However, a half hour later it was down again, with the same problems already stated. The light was on and the card was not read. During my time online, I did manage to download the driver update from Toshiba website (Atheros Wireless LAN Driver for Windows 7 (32/64). I tried to install it but I received error messages, including: I tried again but I still received this message, but with a different file: I have no Ethernet connectivity and I need to use the wi-fi.
I bought a netgear n600 wnda3100vs wifi adapter for my desktop.I installed it and everything. Now when I try to connect, it finds my router, but for some reason it will not connect. My router is a 2wire that runs on 802.11g[CODE]
I have a belkin surf n300 usb wireless N micro adapter. No problems installing this adapter on a HP Desktop running windows 7. I have tried to install on a gateway laptop also running windows y 64 bit. In device manager it show that the product is working. It will not connect to any network. The adapter is an F7D2102 az ver. 2011az
I'am having problems when connecting to the internet. I'am running Win7 64-bit and i have Belkin USB wireless adapter( Belkin surf N150) When i first bought the adapter it didnt connect to internet, so i though it is not working and i got it replaced. I got the same problem with the second one as well, and then i have changed the wireless mode on the device manager from: IEEE 802.11b/g/n to: IEEE 802.11b and eventually i have connected to internet without any errors, but in this mode the internet is unbelievably slow which is very slow when compared to another wireless mode where i have changed it from. So my question is why i can't connect to internet IEEE 802.11b/g/n in this mode? The weird thing is that some times it connects to internet with no error and dissconnects again in a short while. Also when the windows tries to repair it, i get this report:
Windows Network Diagnostics Publisher details

i have Cisco 2611 series router it is showing garbage value while start up as 00000000000000000000000200000000000000 and i am unable to log in it Roman mode.
I have purchased a new cisco router 3845 and i can`t start the router when i power it on in the normal mode either on the rom monitor mode.It seems it hangs up , the attached shows the last thing appear to me even if i plug on the second power. It gives no chance to enter anything in both modes.
When I start up my computer I cannot get an Internet connection. To get a connection I have to go into Control Panel, open Device Manager, click on Network adapters, which opens Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. I uninstall the Controller, restart and I then get an Internet connection. The Realtek controller then re-installs itself. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium operating system on my desktop. I am wired through a Dynalink RTA 1320 Rev 2 ADSL2+ Modem Router (provided and checked by my ISP). I have a Netgear Wireless N Router WNR 2000 for wireless connection to my laptop which has a Vista operating system. I have no connectivity problems to the laptop. I have had the connections checked by my ISP and the Netgear router by Netgear. They have both confirmed that there is connectivity to the desk top and the laptop and that the connections are working. Both have said that there is an issue with the operating system. I have got all the latest drivers installed and I get the message "Best driver software for your device is already installed".
Whether it be downloading or just trying to watch a video on youtube. For some reason everytime I try to download something it appears to start fast but then it basically just stops. I'm running windows Vista and I've tried going into the router security settings and unchecking Block Anonymous Internet Requests.
