View 3 RepliesJust brought another set of SRP521W, after changed the WAN setting to PPPOE, we unable to access the web management. The power/sys light will keep blink when trying to access the web management. We able to ping it. We tried the reset button but it did not work as well. Is that a way to upgrade the firmware without using the web management?
View 4 Replies View Relatedi cannot access the web managemnet interface of this router from a different subnet.THe WAN interface is a 4G LTE connection,I have disabled both the SPI firewall and NAT and enabled remote management from any ip address but i cannot access the admin web page from a remote subnet.Doing a port scan of the routers WAN or LAN address i cannot see any ports open at all...its as if firewall or NAT is still enabled somehow.
View 0 Replies View RelatedWe've come across an issue whereby the WAN port fails to light up with an Adtran Total Access 832 (via bonded SHDSL) unit.
Eventually the WAN port does light up after connecting and disconnecting it several times with the ethernet cable. However as a test I power cycled the router with the WAN cable disconnected and had a strange issue where the WAN light would constantly flash and show up in the web gui as being connected when in fact the Adtran Unit showed the device was not connected at all.
This is the second Cisco SRP521W router in place as the original one disconnects overnight without any load and a power cycle would fix the issue, but this replacement router disconnects during business hours (even worse for the customer) and power cycling does not bring it back online. We've adjusted the WAN port to 10MB Full on both devices and hope that it stays up. I am wondering if any has had a similar experience? Would this be a behaviour of a faulty unit or may it not be compatible with the Adtran Total Access 832 (via bonded SHDSL) unit perhaps?
I have a problem in connecting SRP521w with CCA v3.2. I tried to connect the device with CCA but it said that that the device is unsupported. I already upgraded the router's firmware with v1.01.26.
Here is what the CCA looks like every time I try to connect with the router :

View 4 Replies View RelatedHave followed the admin guide, and can setup this up fine, however what we're wanting is to turn off any IP connection for the main wan ethernet interface and only have the sub-interface have an IP connection method.
I can't see how you can turn this off, which is causing a double-up of dhcp requests being sent when using both the main/sub ethernet interfaces to use dhcp.
This has been tested on the 521w and 521w-u versions, and I've just used the latest firmware 1.2.4 on the u version.
How can this be configured so that there is only 1 WAN interface that is using IP (the sub interface) Setting default routes to point to the sub interface doesn't make a difference.
Any recommendation for creating a configuration template for the SRP521W? I can use the Admin-->Backup Config to get a xxx.cfg file, but I cannot edit it with notepad++. Also, i know the config can be view via view-source: [URL], but how would I load a modified copy of this back to the router?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a VPN between a SRP521W (only point-to-point VPN) and a UC560 (VPN server) and it seems it doesn't works (SRP doesn't create the tunnel).
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe have been using a SRP521W as the main Router for an office with about 25 users.
So on the cable network it's about 25 computers, 25 IP Phones, 3 printers. Wireless network hold some smartphones and tablets. Computer traffic is 100% Remote Desktop.
That said, for the last few days network connectivity sucks. I think the problem is, precisely, the SRP521W. Some mornings the WAN link is down and can only be brought up by a router reboot.
There's an IPSec tunnel to HQ.
Wireless network was moved recently to a WAP121 to offload the SRP521W. It has two networks: internal and customers with two VLANs.
CPU Usage is around 30-45% all day and spikes to 100% sometimes. RAM Usage is 40-45%. I do not know if this is "too much", "average" or "really low load".
Anyway, time for questions:
a) How can I get a table of active connections on the firewall/NAT to see if there anything "strange" on the network traffic that maybe causing issues?
b) Is there any know bug in the VLAN handling of the SRP that maybe causing the issue? (it's one of the latests changes introduced).
c) If the problem is that there's too much load for such a small router, what replacement would you recommend given the details above? (remember I do not really need wireless on the router as I have the wap121).
Does the N750 (F9K1103V1) support Guest Access while in Access Point mode? It will not provide an IP address when a guest attempts to connect.

since my router setp does not show "guest access" under "wireless" I skipped to #6 as stated. However when I get to #9 there is no "guest settings" dropdown for me to use.
As you can see i have problems with connecting 2 SRP521W together for an VPN tunnel. I tried as much as I can but now i dont know what to do or how and where is the mistake? the connection between these two devices was there last week, after weekend (nothing changed in configs) the connection suddenly was interrupted, without any reason or warning. another day it worked again and 20 mins later connection was dead again...and now it wont establish at all.. here are some screenshots from the vpnconfigs of my devices. one has a static IP the otherone uses FQDN. This has functioned well for the last year or so, but now our security team has requested that we begin logging guest activity. I already have RADIUS accounting set up on the WLAN configuration pointing to the NGS,I have added the NGS to the syslog set up on the controller (I have tried various syslog levels) but I am not receiving any guest activity info in the reports on the NGS. View 1 Replies View RelatedAs per settings menu, I tried to give it an IP address but the new address is not accessible for further configuration. When I connected to the router it status changes to "unidentified network".
My primary network address range is 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.10. So I gave address to belkin as 192.168.1.100. But I can not access this address from both primary and belkin network.
1 router 881w with a site-to-site VPN connected to a switch and a wireless which allows internal users to access the VPN via wireless (this is like a backup, if the switch fails, then they can use the wireless). Everything's working fine so far. Now I want to configure a second WLAN for guest but I'm not really sure if this configuration will work:
ROUTER:
ip dhcp excluded-address 192.168.100.1 192.168.100.200
!
ip dhcp pool GuestNetwork
network 192.168.100.0 255.255.255.0
default-router 192.168.100.1
dns-server 8.8.8.8
[code]....
If it's not clear I want that everyone that is connected to the guest WIFI receives an IP address from the range I wrote before and then goes directly to the internet.
How does one configure the router so that Internet users can access internal company websites? The only thing that appears is the Cisco router login. Also I need to configure Terminal Services and its not on the list under Service.

One of my customers asked me to configure a WLC 2106 and 2 LAP 1131AG (lightweight) for corporate/guest Wifi. Basically they want to implement a good wifi connection for internal use and a guest one with different QoS. The two lans should both have dhcp but they must bet kept segregated so that none from the Guest wifi can access corporate resources.
Since i've never configured a WLC from scrath i lightly supposed it would be quite straigh forward as routers and switches from Cisco.Unfortunately i was totally wrong.
I've downloaded the "Cisco Wireless LAN ControllerConfiguration Guide" (Soft.Release 6.0 June 2009) and after i red it i made up this workflow
for the configurations:
1) Configure Controller: (via serial)
- Set Management Interface parameters (IP- SM - Def GW - Dhcp server IP)
- Set Ap-Manager Interface parameters
- Virtual Interface parameters
- Set Admin Credentials
- Dhcp Configuration (internal and/or external)
2) Ap registration on the controller
- Configure vlan with dhcp request redirection to the dhcp server
3) Configure Wlan following customer's requests.
- Configure Wlan Auth for Corporate/Guest Wifi
- Configure QoS for both Wlans
Unfortunately i'm experiencing issue while trying joining the AP to the WLC.It appers that the IT guy of my customer tried to configure one of the Ap.In that Ap's flash i find files referring to a "mesh" configuration like: [code]

Our downloads are suffering somewhat, the upstream gets easily flooded and downloads start to trickle.

The website has a static IP address, so I can target that in the rules to only use 80% of the bandwidth?Alternatively can I limit upstream traffic per user?
